Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Pickle was rescued around 2020. He is generally a pretty good dog. Huge lovable and a snuggler. He loves to play with humans and other dogs. He's housetrained and incredibly smart (he can open apartment doors). A second dog would help him immensely here. We are rehoming him because he has severe separation anxiety. Despite spending time and money, we just can't fix it. So much so that he can either escape or chew his way out of any crate (to mitigate this, we purchased a 1200$ separation anxiety crate that will come with him for free). If you live in an Apartment with auto unlocking doors, he will open the door and escape. Pickle needs a home with someone that is there for him at all times or a standalone house that he can freeroam in and not bother the neighbors if he barks while you're away. If you have a yard, he should be attached to a line, so he doesn't get curious and wonder off. If you're outside with him though, he's not going anywhere. He just needs someone with him.
