Story
Meet Skipper! ❤️ Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a whoot. 😂 As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! 🐾 Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience. When they are together, if they see other fur babies they get really excited and like to bark. Which is probably, how they survived on their own for so long as a way to protect themselves being so small and older. Even though Skipper eventually warms up to new dogs, it takes a while, and he would probably be happiness as an only dog in his next home. Skipper is very much loved in his foster home. Thus, only the most perfect of home him will he grace. 🥰 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Thinking about adding a puppy to your family? You certainly could. Or... you can bypass all the shenanigans and adopt me, Lady Bean. My credentials? Impeccable! But let's go easy with the "Maw Maw" talk. Having a frosted face may qualify me for senior discounts, but just so you know, I have plenty of pep in my step for enjoying strolls and can smoke the kids in a backyard footrace. Otherwise, I am content to claim my spot on the couch, especially beside you. Friendly from the first hello, popular with dogs, and gentle with the three busy kids in my foster home, I fit in just about anywhere. Sure, I am cute, but it's that soulful companionship that takes the cake. My suitcase is packed, so what do you say to adding a vibrant, petite, seasoned sidekick to your pack? Applications for my Flop, Drop and Roll Belly Rub Club are open. Catch you on the flip side! Est. birthdate is 5/18/2011, 30 lbs., my $200 adoption fee includes vaccines up to date, parasite prevention, spay and micochip.

Story
Meet Marley Sue, a special little soul looking for a very special kind of home. Marley Sue came into rescue completely shut down after her owner passed away. Over the months she’s spent in foster care, we’ve learned that Marley simply isn’t looking for the same kind of relationship that most people expect from a dog. She doesn’t want to sit in your lap, go for walks, or be showered with affection. What Marley wants most is a quiet, safe place where she can simply be herself. She’s content having a comfortable place to sleep, good meals, and the occasional ear scratch when she’s feeling up to it. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats and is perfectly happy peacefully sharing her home with other animals. Marley does not currently go outside and is pee-pad trained. With plenty of time, patience, and trust, she may eventually become comfortable going outside, but her adopter should be prepared to accept her exactly where she is today. Marley isn’t going to be the right dog for everyone, and that’s okay. Somewhere out there is someone who doesn’t need a dog to entertain them, cuddle them, or follow them from room to room. She needs someone with a quiet home, a big heart, and no expectations beyond giving a little dog the security and peace she deserves. Marley Sue’s adoption fee has been sponsored for the right home. She is spayed and her adoption includes age-appropriate vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. If you have room in your home and heart to give Marley Sue exactly what she needs, apply today at fullcirclerescueandsanctuary.com.

Story
Paco is a certified Chihuahua experience—big personality in a tiny package! This little guy is equal parts cuddly baby and tiny boss, and he’s currently accepting applications for his very own Chosen Human. Once you’re in, you’re in. Paco is loyal, devoted, and will happily follow you everywhere like your adorable (and slightly judgmental) shadow. Paco is full of personality and keeps life entertaining. He loves going for walks, being included in daily activities, and soaking up attention on his terms, of course. He’s playful, silly, and very expressive, and he thrives when he has a person to bond closely with. He does tend to prefer women but is learning to warm up to men with time and patience. Paco gets along well with other dogs, but if we're being honest, he'd really prefer to be the center of your universe. He loves having all the attention to himself, so he'd likely be happiest as an only dog where he doesn't have to share his people. He can be a little spicy if he feels unsure, so he does best with someone who understands small dog attitudes and will respect his boundaries. With the right person, he is incredibly loving and fiercely loyal. He is house trained, walks well on a leash, isn't a fan of kennels, and tends to ignore cats. Paco isn't for everyone, but for the right person, he is a hilarious, devoted, and endlessly entertaining little sidekick who will keep you laughing and feeling loved every single day. Adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, age appropriate vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. Apply to adopt at fullcirclerescueandsanctuary.com.

Story
Introducing Marge! 💕 Marge is a 5-year-old Chihuahua weighing in at just 6 tiny pounds, and she is an absolute doll! 🥹❤️This precious little girl is incredibly sweet, but she’s also extremely timid and shy. Marge will need a patient, understanding family who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and come out of her shell. Once she feels comfortable, she is the sweetest little snuggle bug! She loves being close to her people and would much prefer to spend her nights curled up in bed with them. 🥰Marge is already housebroken and will even use potty pads when no one is available to take her outside. She does well with other dogs, cats, and children, although we feel a home with older, calmer children would be best for her. Loud noises and sudden movements can be scary for such a timid little girl, so a quieter, more predictable home where she can build confidence at her own pace would be ideal.Marge is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever family who will love her just as she is. ❤️Because Marge is so shy, she is not eligible for transport. She is available for adoption to Alabama residents or families in surrounding states who are willing to travel to Alabama to pick her up.Marge may need a little extra time to trust, but we have no doubt that the family willing to give her that patience will be rewarded with the sweetest little companion. 🐾💕
