Story
Boston is a little girl with a gentle heart. She came to us pregnant and delivered her babies not soon afterwards. She is around 2.5 to 3 years old and we believe she is a mix of many breeds including Chihuahua and Terrier. She brings the More to Labs and More as she is small to medium in size. Boston is a bit shy at first but warms up with time and patience. She bonds very closely to her people. She is learning to walk on leash and her house manners. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Boston, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog. We provide no guarantees regarding behavior, breed, or age of the dogs. Thank you for rescuing. Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. Story
Little but mighty Slay laid in a shelter with a broken femur wondering if his pain would ever stop. Lucky for this guy we were on the road to bring him home. He underwent FHO surgery for a broken femur and all went well. He is now mended and has his spunky personality back. We believe he is a Terrier, maybe Rat Terrier and Chihuahua mix at about 3 years of age. He is in a foster home with several other large breed dogs and as most little dogs do, he rules the roost. He would be best in a home who understands spunky little breed dogs. We suggest homes with kids over 8 years old. Slay can be an only dog or be with another dog who is laid back. He is crate trained and mostly house trained as well. Soon he can start going on little walks. Slay loves his foster family and his tongue is quick to hand out kisses. He takes a bit to get to know new people but once he settles in he is your best friend. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Slay, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Story
Mensa is a more independent girl with a fearless, confident personality. She would make a great adventure buddy and outdoorsy companion. She keeps an eye on her surroundings and stays close but doesn't need to be attached to her people all the time but she does keep one eye on where you are. Mensa and her siblings bring the More to Labs and More as Chihuahua and Terrier mixes but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in personality. They are learning to use a dog door and pee pads for potty time. They are explorers that are confident and loving puppies each with their own unique personality. They are on solid ground starting with a mom who is independent yet extremely loving, smart and attentive, and loyal. These are traits any puppies would benefit from for life. Mom is a smaller girl at about 28lbs and we expect the pups to be around her weight when fully grown. Mensa is looking for a family that understands the time, patience, and energy needed to raise a young pup. We require all puppy adopters to provide training that includes: house training, basic training, leash training, and socialization. Additionally, this cutie is going to need proper exercise, mental stimulation, and your attention and love to grow up to be the best companion. We do not allow our dogs or puppies to sleep or live outside; they must be incorporated into your family and be made a priority in your life. In return, you will have the most loving and loyal family member you could ask for. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting a Didi pup, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! Story
Fedora is one of the smallest among her siblings and loves to be held. Even though she is a bit smaller she makes up for it in her might and her strong will. It is so adorable when she has to carry around the biggest toy in the pile that she can hardly move...yet that is the one she has to have! She is the little princess of her group. Fedora and her siblings bring the More to Labs and More as Chihuahua and Terrier mixes but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in personality. Gus loves to give kisses and is a true mama's boy. He has a cute, little face with a short nose. Gus likes to stick close and is very people oriented. Story
Moose is a calm, gentle "giant" among his brothers and sisters. He has the softest fur and lays like a baby in your arms. He is a gentle kisser, follows you around as your shadow, and is always looking for his next snack. He will fall asleep in your arms as long as you rub his belly.
