Pluto was rescued from Devore Shelter as part of a 30-Chihuahua hoarding case, and despite his difficult start, this little guy is already learning how wonderful life can be. At just 7.5 pounds and about 8–10 months old, Pluto is a charming little nugget with a gentle soul. His foster has been working with him, and he’s making great progress every day. Pluto recently attended his first adoption event, where he did really well hanging out in the puppy pen and quietly taking in all the new sights and sounds. He’s now walking on a leash and slowly learning that people can be kind and safe. He can be a little shy and timid at first, which is understandable after his past. But with patience and a calm environment, Pluto continues to blossom and show his sweet personality. Pluto would do best in a quiet, patient home, ideally with older children, where he can continue building confidence and feel secure.
