Story
My name is Rowdy and cuddles are my game! I'm a very handsome, 4.5lb , approximately 5 year old tri colored long hair chihuahua. I love spending my time in your lap and being your best friend. i enjoy gentle, short walks and I'm good boy on a leash. I'm crate trained and sleep quietly all night, as well as playpen trained in the house. I get along great with all my small foster sisters (I'm definitely a stud muffin around here) and have no issues with the cat in my foster home. I have had a tough start to my young life and I have an old spinal cord injury. I can walk and even run but I am incontinent. My foster mommy has figured out a combination of male wraps and washable diapers that take care of my needs very well. I am neutered and up to date on all of my vaccinations. If you live in southern California and would like to meet beautiful Bella, please fill out an application on Dream Team Angels Rescue's website: https://dreamteamangelsrescue.com/adopt Rowdy is located in Apple Valley, CA (San Bernardino County). He looks forward to meeting you!

Story
ABOUT CASSIDY - FOSTER OR ADOPT OPPORTUNITY A small Chihuahua mix was thrown over a high fence and abandoned. This may sound very cruel and inhumane, but the story gets worse: the poor little dog is missing a paw and could have been further injured by the fall. The AALOC team found him terrified, cowering in fear. He was cold and scared and didn’t trust anyone. In addition, it was reported an individual saw Cassidy living on the streets with a homeless person before being abandoned. We don’t know the extent of Cassidy’s past, but we do know this life must have been very difficult for a small dog like Cassidy. Over time, members of the AALOC staff have been able to convince Cassidy humans can be trusted and Cassidy has become loving and affectionate with these specific individuals, but it will take a special, very patient person to win Cassidy’s love and trust as his new owner or foster parent. For this reason, we recommend Cassidy be adopted or fostered by an adult-only family. Cassidy’s missing paw doesn’t seem to impair his mobility at all. A veterinarian orthopedic surgeon examined Cassidy’s foot and could not determine if the injury was congenital or caused by trauma, and his medical recommendation was Cassidy does not need any treatment or surgery, and can live his life without restrictions As a foster parent, all costs, including all medical costs, for Cassidy would be paid for by AALOC. All you need to do is love and care for Cassidy. Please apply to foster or adopt Cassidy at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Cassidy and get to know him a bit. Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). For more information on adoption policies visit our dog adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org or by phone (714) 893-4393.

BONDED PAIR - MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER Candy (female) - born 3/1/2022 Jackson (male) - born 9/1/2020 Losing her apartment meant losing her dogs. Candy and Jackson’s previous owner stopped by the kennel and explained she had lost her apartment and couldn’t find a new one that would take her three dogs. In the meantime she was living with a friend and was allowed one pet. It was a difficult decision but she surrendered Candy and Jackson to AALOC. Both pups are now living with a foster family but they need a permanent home to call their own. Candy, a female, and Jackson, a male and possibly Candy’s dad, are small, young Chihuahua mixes. Candy is about seven pounds in size and Jackson is about nine pounds. These tiny two dogs are a bonded pair and love to cuddle up together. Both are very friendly, want to give kisses, and like to jump around and play. Candy is particularly fond of belly rubs and both are just as sweet as they come! Please complete an application to adopt Candy and Jackson at www.AALOC.org. Story
AALOC was notified by neighbors complaining about a Chihuahua that was running down the street. This little guy had even come up to AALOC’s door. We were able to find the dog’s owner and asked if they needed help securing their dog. They claimed someone had dumped the dog in their backyard a couple of months ago and they didn’t want to keep him. The AALOC team found out it was all a lie – Sundance had been their pet since he was a puppy. He just wasn’t wanted anymore. We’re sure we will be able to find someone else who will love him forever. Sundance is a small, brown and white Chihuahua, weighing in at only seven pounds. He’s unsure about new people but once he gets to know you, he’s your very best friend. Please complete an application to adopt Sundance at www.AALOC.org. Story
On a cold December morning, AALOC caregivers discovered a frightened little dog who had been left in a crate by the door. She was wearing a sweater, but she was trembling and terrified. Several other sweaters were left in her crate along with her dog bed. No note was left, so we will never know her name, her story or why her owner felt that this was their only option. We've given her the name Isabelle and she is a lovely and sweet little girl with warm brown eyes. Please complete an application to adopt Isabelle at www.AALOC.org. Story
Edgar Allan Poe is a sweet pup who loves to run around and play. He is easy going and really just loves to cuddle. He is mostly potty pad trained and trained to do his business out on walks or at the dog park. He does have accidents at first until he figures out his potty/walk routine. Edgar rides well in the car and is content in a dog bed or in someone's lap. He enjoys playing with friendly, playful dogs once he warms up to them. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly to lots of pets and kisses. He walks well on the leash, especially on his normal walking route. He always has his head to the ground trying to sniff out his new surroundings. In new areas, he can get eager on the leash and pull to the next spot he is interested in. He does well in populated areas, but can bark a few times when he sees a new dog that he wants to go up to and get to know. He listens well to redirection in those situations and quiets down quickly. Edgar enjoys chewing on toys while his foster mom works from home. He is pretty quiet in the home and will entertain himself if everyone is busy. He may bark a couple of times to get his foster family's attention if someone is really knocking on the door. If he can, he loves sleeping in his human's bed and he'll full sploot out with floppy arms on his back. He is also happy sleeping on the floor or in a dog bed. Edgar gives sloppy kisses! He is a very kind dog and a sturdy size to cuddle with children as he doesn't mind when his ears, tail, or legs are tugged on. Edgar would be happy in a home with other dogs or by himself. He ultimately wants a loving family that will match his loving, warm spirit!

Story
Say hello to Hermes, the turbo furbro! Hermes is a dog’s dog. If you’ve ever watched a movie about a mischievous but lovable pooch, then you’ve seen a movie about Hermes. He has three main traits: playful, friendly, and energetic! While on walks, he will beg for attention when walking past other people. Speaking of walks, it will be important to take him on long walks that satiate his curiosity and burn his energy. He also loves to play a lot and has turned some of his toys into cotton clouds. Hermes will need a home with people who can play with him each day, otherwise, his excess energy may cause him to chew on your shoes or steal your food. He is partially pad-trained but will need continued reinforcement to solidify his training. Grooming is new to him, so he’s still getting used to brushing his teeth and fur. He loves people more than other dogs and has a strong instinct to food guard. Even with all his shenanigans, Hermes is an easily lovable dog, and it’s hard to believe he almost didn’t make it safely out of the shelter he was at. All in all, Hermes is a loving dog, looking for a forever home with loving parents just like him.

Story
When I first met my foster mom, I was so shy and scared to go home with her, but the minute I met my furry foster brother and sister, I knew I was going to be just fine. I’m only a year old with lots of puppy energy, but I’m constantly told I’m a “such a good boy!” I only chew on my own doggy bones and toys. I’m potty trained and always let my foster parents know when I need to go outside. I sleep through the night and love cuddling up with my foster mom in bed. I’ve been great with people of all ages from toddlers to the elderly. I love playing with other dogs and would be best in a home with other dogs that can keep me company and can play with me. I wouldn’t want to be left home alone as an only dog, I’m too social to be an only dog. My foster mom gave me a bath, and I loved it! Afterwards, she kept talking about how silky and soft my hair is. It’s not even fully grown in yet, just imagine how pretty it will be when all my adult fur has grown in! I’m also great on walks and would like at least two walks a day to help me get my puppy energy out. I’m not all energy though, I like long afternoon naps, cozy cuddles while sitting next to you, and a good eight hours of sleep every night. Knowing that I’m “such a good boy,” I’m looking for “such a good family” to love and live the rest of my life with. Are you that family?
