She was rescued from a very high kill shelter in Fall 2023 along with her 3 tiny babies. She was an amazing mama to her three little ones and has been patiently waiting to find her perfect forever home! Sakura is very sweet, affectionate, smart and loves to play with her puppies and toys. She loves to run and play with her pack and is always ready to snuggle after playtime is over. Sakura is leash trained and is working on her potty-training skills. She will do great with another well-adjusted family dog that she can run and play with! Sakura loves all people, dogs and is great with children over the age of 10, she has not been exposed to cats. Everyone welcome Soxy!! Soxy is a 2-year-old female Chihuahua mix who weighs about 8 pounds and was rescued from the San Bernardino Animal Shelter. What do we know about Soxy? She is a miracle dog! She was rescued the day she was scheduled to be put to sleep due to a broken hip which just needed crate rest. It was later discovered (while under anesthesia getting spayed) that she had a collapsed lung due to a hernia in her diaphragm. She is now a healthy, confident, energetic pup! Soxy LOVES walks, hikes, and is learning to walk on a leash. She LOVES to run and enjoys going on car rides. She is shy and is currently being taken to dog parks to get her used to people, kids, and other dogs. We are recommending a home with children over the age of 13. She is kennel trained, and knows to get in when it's bedtime. She’ll go lay inside the kennel when she’s wants a nap, too. She knows basic obedience like come and stop, and she is potty trained. Soxy is a sweetheart and seeks affection. She can be vocal (especially when it is dinner time), but knows to quiet down when told to. I pulled a dog from a pet adoption center. The female dog came from a hoarding situation in Westminster where 25 dogs were found. She was terrified at first and she is still shaky, but she is slowly coming around. She does not do well with other dogs yet and would not be a good match for a home with small children. She is still learning how to feel safe in the world. Even so, she is incredibly sweet and gentle with people. She was used for breeding at just one year old and is now two. The shelter labeled her as half Maltese and half beagle, but my vet friend believes she is likely part Chihuahua and either Papillon or Pomeranian. She has been very cuddly with us and finds comfort in her crate.

At 10 pounds he’s the perfect lap dog, which is where he prefers to spend the majority of the day. He gets along with dog great. He can be a little timid in new places but once he’s comfortable he loves everyone, especially if they have an available lap to sit in!
