Story
Lahu was found as a stray and pulled from the Government shelter by a local rescue in South Korea. Lahu is 7 year old, male, 9 lb Chihuahua mix. He is very sweet, good with dogs, ignored cats, and simply needs a family of his own. Poor Lahu was found to have bilateral patella luxation grade 3 and he received the orthopedic surgery. Lahu has recovered from his surgery. Lahu needs some positive in his life even though he is doing very well in foster. A forever home would make his day as this boy so deserves it! Story
Tia | Female | Approx. 4 years old | 22lbs | Dog and Cat Friendly | Toronto Tia is a very special girl looking for that special home that will invest the time and patience she needs to be herself. You can see the sweetness and willingness to trust in her big brown eyes, but she is quite shy at first and needs an adopter who will go at her pace. Even when she's unsure of things, Tia is the most gentle dog. Already Tia is making great strides in her foster home: in a short amount of time she's gone from timid to much more comfortable. She'll stay on her foster's lap for ear rubs, does a little dance when waiting for her meals, and rolls playfully around on her back accepting belly rubs. Her foster has gained her trust and been rewarded by joyful greetings in the morning with Tia launching herself onto the bed wagging her tail like crazy! She sleeps through the night and settles down for a nap when left home alone with the foster's dogs and cat. Tia is shy but curious when it comes to walking and meeting new people. She's calm and indifferent with cats and other dogs, but enjoys having their company, and would likely be fine living with either as long as they didn't come on too strongly. She'd do best with an adopter who is around a fair bit of the time and has a fenced yard. Few things are more rewarding than earning the trust of a shy dog. It's a really special experience to became their safe person and give them the foundation to be brave, comfy, and confident. In Tia's case, she doesn't require too much to build this trust. If you can go at her pace in the beginning, she quickly let's her inner affectionate goofball shine through. This will only become more and more apparent once she's in her forever home. If you can devote yourself to Tia, she will devote herself back a hundred fold. The shy guys don't always draw the apps, but often make the most memorable and special relationships and experiences. Story
Meet Chico, a sweet and charming 7 pound Chihuahua who is ready to find his forever home and the best friend he’s been waiting for. 💙 Chico is currently fostered in Toronto, where he is safe and cared for, but what he truly needs is something deeper and more permanent — a family who will choose him and promise that he will never be left behind again. Chico is wonderful with other dogs and is living happily alongside them in his foster home, showing just how gentle, adaptable, and easygoing he is. He has a loving, friendly, and social personality and truly seems to adore everyone he meets. With his classic Chihuahua charm, Chico is affectionate and devoted, always happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s comfortable being picked up and handled, enjoys cuddles, and seeks out connection whenever he can. He’s also a great eater and a playful little guy who still finds joy in the simple things — especially curling up in his favorite cozy teepee bed, where he feels safe and secure. Chico is up to date on his vaccinations and neutered. He does have a grade 3 heart murmur, which is being monitored but does not slow him down or stop him from enjoying life. He continues to play, love, and soak up affection, carrying on with a quiet resilience that makes him even more special. He’s already experienced being left behind once, and more than anything, Chico needs to know that the next place he goes will truly be his last. He’s hoping for a best friend, a companion, a little buddy who will give him stability, reassurance, and love — someone to share cuddles, gentle adventures, and the everyday moments that make life feel whole. Our foster to adopt program gives Chico and his future family the chance to build trust and make sure the match is just right. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving sidekick who will give you his whole heart and ask only for the comfort of knowing he belongs, Chico is your guy. 🐶💕 He’s ready to be chosen — and ready to love for a lifetime. 📧 To learn more about Chico or the foster to adopt program, please email c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

QUICK FACTS Name: World             Age: 1 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix Color: White, Beige Weight: 5.6kg / 12lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a heartbreaking situation of severe neglect and abuse. I was found cramped inside a tiny cage outside of a store, waiting to be sold, without the proper care, comfort, or attention that every dog deserves. Day after day, I simply waited there, overlooked and confined. Thankfully, kind people saw the condition I was living in and stepped in to rescue me from that life. Now, I’m finally safe and getting the love and care I should have always had. I’m ready to leave those painful memories behind and find a forever family who will truly cherish me.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Despite my difficult past, I’ve remained a bright, positive, and resilient little girl. I’m super tiny and adorable, and once I feel safe, my sweet personality really shines through. I also get along very well with my dog friends and find a lot of comfort in being around them. Because of what I’ve been through, I can be cautious and shy when meeting new people at first. I just need a little time to warm up and learn that I can trust you. Once that trust is there, I become very affectionate and bond deeply. I have a big appetite, which makes me eager to learn and quick to pick up new tricks and routines. I rely a lot on my dog friends for emotional support, and having calm companions around me helps me adapt much faster. That said, I also warm up very quickly in a calm indoor home environment where I feel safe and loved. One of my favorite things is snuggling up and sleeping close to my current foster family. Deep down, I really just want comfort, love, and a place where I can feel secure.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I need a little time in the beginning to warm up and feel comfortable accepting pets and affection. Even so, I’m naturally very curious about people and eager to take treats gently from your hands, which helps me build trust quickly. I’m also very eager to learn and respond well to positive reinforcement. While I do allow myself to be picked up, I prefer having some time to get comfortable first, especially with strangers. Once I trust you and feel safe, I become much more relaxed and affectionate. · With Dogs: I’m super friendly with my dog friends and get along well with dogs of all sizes. I really enjoy their company and feel more confident and secure when I have dog companions around me. I rely a lot on my dog friends for emotional support, so I would likely do very well in a home with another friendly dog sibling to help me feel comfortable and settled. · With Cats: I’m currently living with a cat in my foster home and coexist peacefully with my feline friend. During walks, I may look at cats out of curiosity at first, but I quickly lose interest and continue on my way.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks or exploring, but once I’ve had my activity, I’m more than happy to come inside, curl up, and enjoy a cozy nap or snuggle session.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely during walks. I have good manners around food with people, though I can be a bit sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle well when it’s time to relax. I’m also very good with car rides and even know how to get on and off the car by myself. I’m comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside, making me adaptable to different routines and environments.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A home with another dog sibling – but not an absolute requirement • A patient and understanding family who will give me the time and reassurance I need to settle in comfortably and slowly come out of my shell at my own pace   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff named me “World” because they believe I deserve the world and have so much potential and adventure ahead of me. One of my absolute favorite things is playing with my dog friends—it brings out my happiest and most confident side. I also love cozy moments just as much and enjoy snuggling up on the sofa or bed, happily begging for pets, cuddles, and affection from my people. I may need a little time in the beginning to adjust, settle in, and build trust, but once I do, I bond deeply and show just how loving and sweet I truly am. I promise I’m worth the wait.   WORLD'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2736200##

Story
🏠 Currently in a Vancvouer foster homeHi… my name is Kkamang 🖤I’m a 1 year and 6 month old Chihuahua mix boy, just 5kg (11 lbs) — small enough to fit in your arms, and hoping to fit in your heart too.I was rescued from a dog meat farm. Since the day I was born, I didn’t know what it felt like to have someone call my name. No warm arms. No soft whispers. I wasn’t a “someone” — I was just… there. Inside a metal cage, each day wasn’t about learning. It was about enduring. I learned how to be quiet. How to wait. How to survive. So when I first meet someone new, I pause for a moment. It doesn’t mean “go away.” It means, “Is it really safe this time?” But if you offer me a gentle voice… a small treat… a little patience, my tiny wall falls very quickly. Because the truth is — I like people. I always have. Once I know you, I’m much more affectionate than you’d expect. I’ll press my little body right next to you, sit close, and look into your eyes as if I’m asking for love. No one ever taught me how to be loved, but somehow, I know how to want it.I get along quietly and peacefully with other dogs too. I don’t cause trouble. I know how to share space and not feel lonely.Home life, though… that will be new for me. A house. Daily routines. Rules about where to potty. Time spent alone. I may make mistakes. I may be clumsy at first. But those moments won’t be because I’m lacking — they’ll simply be signs of a life I was never given the chance to learn. Please wait for me. Please teach me slowly. If you do, I will trust you with my whole heart. I will become a deeply loving, loyal little family member who believes completely in my person.I was born just to survive. Now, I want to live. I want a life where I don’t fear being sent back to a cage. A life where I don’t worry about being abandoned again. A life where someone calls my name every day. That’s why I’m looking for a family who will be patient as I learn home life step by step, who will use gentle voices instead of force, and who will promise that I will never return to a cage again. Will you be my very first family? Please let the rest of my life be remembered not for sadness — but for love. 🖤🐾
