Story

Currently fostered in Texas Lil Boo is apx 10 months old and 9 pounds. He is deaf. He sleeps like the dead. He is FULL of energy, FULL of love and FULL of personality. Never a dull moment with this kid. He is very squirmy, jumps a lot, loves everyone, and is very athletic. He needs someone willing to put in some training , take him to the dog parks, or walking /running, he is super cuddly and living but also has a good bit of energy he needs to get out before the couch cuddles happen. This is not a dog that can be crated all day in an apartment . He needs mental stimulus , maybe a busy family, or someone willing to enroll him in doggy daycare. He is a giant goober and has never met a stranger. He loves other dogs, but wants to play a lot and has no sense of their personal space or yours lol. You can take Lil Boo on any adventure and he would be more than happy to tag along. He LOVES all animals and kids and adventures. He does walk on a leash and harness. He is good with the cats, but he is a lot of dog so he is going to try to chase and play with the cats so he’ll be fine with a dog savvy cat, but he will probably annoy a cat or older dog He is a special kid and although he requires a little extra patience , he will bring ten fold in joy to repay you. Story

Currently fostered in Texas Ella is apx 1 yr and 9.8 pounds but a little on the thin side. 11 pounds would be a bit better weight for her and we are giving her plenty of treats here at the rescue 🙂 She is just a doll. A perfect combo of both cuddles and fun. She is good with other dogs and she will rough house and play with younger energetic dogs, but she also know to be gentle with older dogs. She is good with kids but is still learning not to jump on people when excited. She walks well on leash and harness and tried to play with the cat but was fine with cats , She is a happy and lively girl , with a fantastic demeanor and she is ready for her forever home. Story

Biggie Smalls came into rescue after his owner had to move into assisted living. He is a sweet, gentle little gentleman who may take a few days to feel comfortable with new people, but once he warms up, his loving personality shines! Biggie is a happy little tail-wagger who enjoys his daily strolls around the yard, uses a doggy door, and is both house- and crate-trained. He also knows his way around a set of stairs and loves nothing more than snuggling up in bed with his person. Biggie Smalls arrived quite overweight, likely after a long period of limited activity and a diet that included plenty of table food. He was initially hesitant about eating dog food, but with patience, his foster found a combination he enjoys. He is now eating more appropriately, with weight-management food and healthy additions to his meals, and getting out for walks in the yard several times a day. He may act as though he's being starved, but his foster is helping him get healthier one day at a time! This easygoing little lovebug isn't looking for a marathon partner. He's hoping for a loving home where he can enjoy cozy snuggles, gentle walks, tasty meals, and all the affection his heart desires. Biggie Smalls would be happiest with a calm, relaxed family who will give him a little time to settle in and help him continue on his journey to a healthier weight. Story

Are you looking for a low-key, endlessly affectionate companion to fill your home with warmth and love? Look no further than Little Bear! This Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix is the definition of a gentle soul. Little Bear spent the first seven years of his life in a loving home. Through no fault of his own (a new puppy had an accident indoors and poor Little Bear was unfairly blamed!), he is now looking for a fresh start and a soft place to land. He is a clean, well-mannered boy who has never had accidents in the house, and he is ready to claim his rightful spot as the king of your couch. What Makes Little Bear So Special? The Ultimate Couch Potato: With a lovely low energy level, Little Bear's favorite hobbies include relaxing by the window, soaking up the rays while sunbathing, and getting all the love you have to offer. Social Butterfly: Little Bear is a dream when it comes to social skills! He gets along wonderfully with women, men, children, and other dogs. Dream Houseguest: He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, does not destroy things, rides like a gentleman in the car, and is a quiet boy who rarely barks. Apartment & City Approved: Because he doesn't need a yard and loves a cozy indoor lifestyle, he would thrive just as happily in an apartment as he would in a house. Quirks: He is a known flight risk, so he will need a mindful family who watches the doors so he doesn't slip out on an adventure. He also loves his treats! Little Bear is looking for a devoted family who understands that older dogs make the absolute best companions. Whether you live in a bustling family home with kids and dogs or a quiet apartment looking for a loyal shadow, Little Bear will fit right in. If you are ready to give this sweet, treat-loving boy the second chance he deserves, Little Bear is ready to love you back for a lifetime! Story

Hi, I’m Tadpole! I may be a little senior Chihuahua, but don’t let my tiny legs and distinguished age fool you—I still have plenty to say! I’m a friendly little guy who loves attention, and I’m not shy about letting you know when I think I’ve been overlooked. If I’m feeling nervous or wondering why nobody is currently worshipping me, you may hear my very important Chihuahua commentary. I`m a very friendly little pocket-sized guy and I will promise to give back all the love I receive!I should also warn you that I have a bit of a marking habit. I’m basically determined to leave my autograph around the house, so my new family should be prepared to start me off with a belly band while I learn the rules of my new kingdom.
