Story
Currently fostered in Texas Bosco is just under 7 pounds and 1 year old. A tiny dainty boy with a big heart, a lot of emotions and some pretty good dance moves. He LOVES attention from anyone who will give it to him. He would be carried around all the time if he could. He would probably be fine if his feet rarely touched the ground he thinks he is a little prince and possibly believes he is a human child. Bosco came from our local shelter. He is a very loving and sweet boy, but he is a bit whiny and requires quite a bit of attention. He would do best in a home where people are not gone for very long hours. He is great with cats, well mannered kids, used to being around a dog this small, and dogs . Very social and an equal opportunity snuggle. He would make a great office dog. Good on leash and harness and although he is not 100% potty trained yet, he does not Mark and he does squat to pee and uses the potty pads if they are available . He is a gentle loving soul ready for a better ….and more spoiled ….life . Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.

QUICK FACTS Name: Kuro Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Chihuahua – Shih Tzu Mix Color: Black and White Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was part of a family of five dogs who were deeply loved and cared for in our home. As circumstances within the household became increasingly difficult and unsafe, our family made the heartbreaking decision to ask for help so that we could be protected and cared for. We were welcomed into rescue, where we could begin a new chapter in safety, and now I’m hoping to find a loving forever family where I can settle in and build a happy future.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Kuro! I’m a sweet, people-loving boy with big, sparkling eyes that looks like the night sky. I may spend a brief moment sizing things up when we first meet, but I’m very interested in new people and tend to adjust quickly. And if you happen to arrive with treats, our introduction can become a friendship even faster—snacks are definitely one of the easiest ways to win me over! I’m not just cute and social—More than anything, I genuinely love people. Seeing how eagerly I seek out human connection has even made my rescuers a little emotional—they want nothing more than to see me and my siblings finally experience the kind of individual love and attention that comes with having families of our own. I’d love a home where I can continue building confidence while staying connected to the people I adore. A friendly canine sibling could be an especially comforting bonus, but what I’m really waiting for is the chance to become someone’s beloved companion. Give me a little time, a few treats, and a reason to trust you, and those big night-sky eyes may soon be following you around instead.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but treats help me warm up quickly, and it usually doesn’t take long before I’m comfortable being petted. Once I start feeling at ease, my trusting side comes out—I may even roll over and show my belly to someone I’ve just met! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I enjoy approaching both familiar and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I generally do well with dogs bigger than me and tend to be easygoing in my interactions—if another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to move away and avoid conflict. I also find a lot of reassurance in having other dogs around and tend to feel more secure and settled in the company of a canine companion. · With Cats: I’ve lived in the same home with a cat for about three days, so I have some experience sharing a space with a cat companion. When I see cats while out on walks, I generally stay focused on my person rather than paying much attention to them.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I may pull on the leash at times, but overall, I follow my person well and respond to their guidance on walks.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m comfortable with people around my food and don’t show any food guarding toward them, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so giving me my own space at mealtimes is best. When there’s something I really want, I may use a little barking to let you know, but with consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate. I’m calm and settled in a kennel I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by my parents and siblings, so having other dogs nearby is something I’ve always known. I naturally look to dog companions for a little reassurance and seem to feel more secure when I have a friend around    KURO'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2847319##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Kongdol Age: About 5 Years Old (Born on November 4, 2021) Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Chihuahua Color: Black Weight: 3.7kg / 8.1lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was part of a family of five dogs who were deeply loved and cared for in our home. MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Kongdol! I’m a sweet little long-haired Chihuahua who may be slightly cautious when we first meet, but I don’t need forever to decide that you’re one of my people. Give me a little time and I start opening my heart pretty quickly. Once we’re friends, I become an adorable little shadow who loves following my person from room to room just to stay close. People are definitely the center of my world. Dogs? Cats? I’m generally not all that interested in either—I’d much rather focus my attention on the humans around me. I may bark briefly when an unfamiliar person first appears, but I tend to settle down fairly quickly once I’ve had a chance to process who they are. I’m surprisingly clever when it comes to household routines! Once you show me where my pee pad is, I’m quite accurate about using it. I’m even resourceful enough that if the pad becomes too full, I’ll go into the bathroom to do my business instead! I’ve already shown that I’m capable of understanding routines and making good choices once I know how things work. I’d love a family who can give me a little patience at the beginning and then enjoy all the affection that follows. I may need a moment to decide you’re safe, but once I do, don’t be surprised if you suddenly have a tiny Chihuahua escort following you everywhere. After everything I’ve experienced, my rescuers hope my next chapter can be a simple one: a secure home, good routines, plenty of treats, and a family who has lots of love to give.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when I first meet someone, but I’ll accept treats while we get to know each other. I prefer to take some time to build trust before I’m comfortable being petted, but once I feel safe with you, my affectionate side starts to come out—I may even roll over and show you my belly! I’m also comfortable being gently picked up with an arm supporting me under my belly. I haven’t had experience with children under 13 yet, so my comfort level with younger kids is still unknown. · With Dogs: I generally don’t show much interest in other dogs and tend to be content doing my own thing around them. · With Cats: I’ve lived in the same home with a cat for about a week, so I have some experience sharing a space with a cat companion. When I see cats while out on walks, I generally stay focused on my person rather than paying much attention to them.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m also happy to settle down and relax afterward. I have plenty of walking experience and good leash manners, following my person well without pulling.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m comfortable with people around my food, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating, so giving me my own space at mealtimes is best. I may bark when I see someone unfamiliar or when there’s something I want. With consistent guidance and positive training, I can continue learning calmer ways to communicate. My separation anxiety isn’t currently severe, but I may be prone to developing it, so gradually building up my comfort with alone time and maintaining a consistent routine will be important. I may whine when I’m in a kennel, but with continued positive kennel training, I can learn to feel more comfortable settling on my own. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Because I become so attached to my humans, it’s important to help me maintain some independence too. Since my love of people makes me prone to becoming very attached, my future family should continue practicing healthy alone-time habits from the beginning rather than waiting for separation anxiety to develop. A consistent routine and gradual independence training will help me enjoy being close to my family without feeling that I always need them beside me.    KONGDOL'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2847315##

Story
Pillsbury, affectionately known as Princess, truly lives up to both of her names. This sweet little girl has a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She is happiest when she's curled up beside her people, soaking up cuddles, belly rubs, and any opportunity to be held. If you're looking for a devoted lap dog, Princess is ready to claim that spot forever. She enjoys playing with her canine friends, but she's just as content settling in for a cozy nap after a little fun. With her calm, easygoing personality, she fits seamlessly into daily life and is a wonderfully low-maintenance companion. Princess is house and crate trained, walks nicely on leash, rides beautifully in the car, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. She isn't food aggressive and only joins in barking if the other dogs decide to sound the alarm. Princess loves everyone she meets and has a naturally affectionate personality. While she hasn't had much opportunity to spend time with young children yet, her foster believes her gentle, loving nature will make her a wonderful family companion. After spending time with Princess, it's easy to understand why everyone falls in love with her. In fact, her foster admits that if it were possible, they would happily keep her themselves! She is the kind of dog who asks for so little yet gives so much in return. All Princess needs now is a family who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. She truly is the complete package and will make an incredible lifelong companion. Story
Millie was found running loose in a rural area with a pool noodle duct-taped to her front leg. She had a broken leg, but thankfully she received the proper veterinary care right away. Despite everything she has been through, Millie is a sweet, loving girl who wants to be wherever you are. She is currently in a foster home with multiple dogs, cats, and farm animals and is doing wonderfully. At night, Millie settles into her crate with her favorite cookie and sleeps through the night. She loves relaxing on the couch, watching TV, and happily cleaning up any crumbs that hit the floor. She absolutely loves blankets and will carry one around or move it to her favorite nap spot. Millie loves kids, although she may be a little shy at first. Once she warms up, she's ready to steal kisses and soak up all the love. Millie is ready for a forever home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and spoiled like she deserves.
