Meet Chili, a gentle 4-year-old Chihuahua mix with a fondness for comfort. At 13 pounds, she is a well-mannered companion who walks nicely on a leash, travels well in the car, and appreciates a quiet home.Chili enjoys being near her people and is very obedient. She can be initially shy, especially around men, and would thrive in a patient, calm home. She gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and is playfully curious about cats, though her feelings on larger dogs are unknown. A home with older children would be best.She is house-trained and well-behaved when left alone. While she’s still learning to be a cuddler with humans, she loves to burrow under blankets and will politely ask for your help to get settled. Please carry her like a baby, as she does not like her belly touched. Her favorite things include a secure yard, a good marrow bone, and a soft sofa—though she will firmly object to the sight of a broom or mop.Chili is a sweet and sensitive soul waiting for a loving, understanding family to offer her a forever spot in their home and heart.Chili is located in Houston, TX. Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding. Still not sure what a soda is I mean it looks like 'pop' to me and I want to play in the crick but the dogs here call it a creek that's just wrong next thing you know they will be telling us not to say ya all!!Anyhoo I have 1 brother and 2 sisters. We are super tiny so we are not going to be adopted to homes with big dogs and we are also not going to homes with children. 2nd Chance told us we don't have to worry they will find us the perfect FUREVER homes and humans that won't make ANY excuse to get rid of us! Wishbone is LOVING life now!!! Soaking up every moment of snuggles, comfort, and joy. But his journey didn’t start that way. He came from a very bad situation, one no dog should ever have to endure. Despite what he’s been through, Wishbone chose love. Today he’s happy, trusting, and full of hope, showing everyone that even the hardest beginnings can lead to beautiful second chances! Casper is full of himself! He loves to prance around the field and just enjoy life. He loves to stay close to his people and play with his fur friends. Casper is deferentially going to need a fenced in yard for him to do all of his prancing. :) He would do best in a house with no little kids as to much movement and noise can be a lot for him. Precious is a truly special dog who is patiently waiting for her forever home. She loves being close to her people and is happiest when she can share affection, cuddles, and companionship. Precious came from a difficult situation where her previous owner was struggling with addiction and could no longer care for her. There sister tried to keep Precious, but with a baby in the home, she wasn’t sure it was the right fit. Despite her past, Precious has an incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving personality. She would do best in a home without small children, where she can feel calm, secure, and fully relaxed. Precious has so much love to give and is ready for a fresh start with a family who will cherish her and make her feel truly wanted.
