Austin, TX
Size

Details

Story
Cricket and her mom Ladybug (also adoptable!) were dumped in the street in the middle of the night and discovered by one of our team members, who quickly scooped them up. They both likely suffered abuse and neglect in their previous home, but are starting to realize it's only the good life ahead! Cricket is 11 months old and 6 pounds of 100% love. While she is still extremely timid and a little skittish, she can be silly and loves to play with doggie friends both big and small. When she wants to play, she is a jumping bean of energy! Once she feels safe with you, she will seek out attention and cuddles, especially if she has a doggie friend to show her that the only hands that will pet her from now on are gentle, kind ones. Cricket's ideal home is with someone(s) who works from home and understands that it could take months to bond and build trust and confidence. Her ideal person is also patient and can take her out often to reinforce potty training. (She successfully use potty pads in the house.) Please note that children under 12 will be too much stress for her. She will thrive in a calm, quiet and patient. Cricket is crate trained (it's her safe place!) and leash trained, and she has been spayed and vaccinated. All she needs now is a forever family who will give her all the love she deserves and help her forget her traumatic past! Could it be you?

Story
Ladybug and her daughter Cricket (also adoptable!) were dumped in the street in the middle of the night and discovered by one of our team members, who quickly scooped them up. They both likely suffered abuse and neglect in their previous home, but are starting to realize it's only the good life ahead! Ladybug is 2 years old and 8 pounds of 100% love. While she is still timid and a little skittish, she yearns for affection. Once she feels safe with you, she will seek out all the cuddles and kisses! Ladybug's ideal home is with someone(s) who works from home and understands that it could take months to bond and build trust and confidence. Her ideal person is also patient and can take her out often to reinforce potty training. (She successfully use potty pads in the house.) Ladybug would be perfectly fine living with other dogs and cats, though children under 12 will be too much stress for her. She will thrive in a calm, quiet, patience and gentle home. She is crate trained (it's her safe place!) and leash trained, and she has been spayed, vaccinated, and successfully treated for heartworms. All she needs now is a forever family who will give her all the love she deserves and help her forget her traumatic past! Could it be you?

Story
Milo was adopted from Austin Pets Alive in January 2022. He was estimated to be about 10 years old at the time. Milo is a tan chihuahua mix who is very affectionate once he knows you, though he can be a little shy around strangers. He is fully house-trained and well-behaved in the home. He has a couple of funny quirks, he tends to bark when people hug or when a ceiling fan chain is pulled. I'm looking for a calm, patient home where he can feel safe, settle in, and receive plenty of love.

Story
I have had Cupcake since 2014 she is 11 yrs old. Her birthday is June 6, and was given to me for free from a co worker friend. She was the runt of the litter which I preferred cause I knew she would be small. She is still soo active, loves attention, but also so super chill and will sleep or just lay with you. It takes her a small minute to warm up to you and will growl or like she wants to be snappy, but never has bitten anyone ever! She does not care for small children, she has never bitten them. Just growls is all she has ever done. Has had little ones pet her and try to play but she just would rather not lol! She has lived with cats before and other dogs but is territorial with her area to sleep. I am never home she definitely needs attention, I really don’t have any time for her, and I live in apartments, 2nd floor. Its all just too much for me right now. She is not up to date on shots or check ups cause I don’t have the funds for it. Teeth are bad, soft food is given.
