Clover was found wandering alone looking for food in a small town we help. A kind person in the community found her and brought her into her home. She asked if we could bring Clover into our program and we agreed. She has completed her veterinary care, so she is ready to find a forever family. We hope she will get adopted soon and be loved forever. Clover is a sweet girl, and she is very cuddly. She is being fostered with other dogs and cats. She is great with all of them. She has been with children as young as 7, and she loves them too. She is very cuddly, likes to be held and sleep in your lap. Clover is a Pug and Dachshund mix. She is 2 years old and weighs 9 pounds. She is spayed, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. She is also microchipped and is current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. She is heartworm negative. Clover can arrive in Glastonbury, CT on 10/10. She does great on a leash and is dog friendly, though she prefers lower-energy friends. She has even met a cat and was respectful of their space and has done well with older kids. Clove is extremely smart and very food motivated. She thinks it's great fun to bark at strangers, snarf people food, get into the trash, and engage in other typical naughty puppy behaviors, but she is working very hard on her doggie manners. He is a clingy little guy who mostly wants to be near his person.He has low energy and is happy lounging in bed most of the day, but still enjoys short walks and occasional bursts of excitement. His ideal home would have a secure fenced yard and preferably a dog door, since he is used to going outside as needed to potty, explore, and sunbathe.He originally lived with my elderly parents, who are no longer able to care for him. I have been caring for him temporarily, but my current living situation is not the best long-term fit. He would do best with someone patient who wants a sweet senior companion and can give him plenty of love and attention.
