Russel was a rescue from the SPCA. It took a little time for him to trust us but he has become a very loving, affectionate family member. He loves to spend time in laps being petted. Though he is somewhat timid around strangers, he usually learns to trust quickly if the stranger is patient. Unfortunately he was not fully house trained when we got him and he has never fully taken to house training. That is our problem. We utilize belly bands to at least mostly prevent urination in the house. These are tedious to work with, but they are mostly effective. But defecation is a whole other issue. We must frequently clean up messes in the house. This seems to be largely anxious behavior when we are not with him. But it is to the point of being a burden. We are hoping somebody who has a different home situation might be willing to take on these challenges. Russel is a healthy, happy little dog that may have years more to live.

Hello, I'm sad that I have to do this but I'm moving from an apartment to a duplex and the owner only allows one dog, and I just recently adopted Coco in January (I've had my other dog for 5 yrs so that's how I made the decision to rehome Coco) she loves belly rubs and food! She will eat vegetables and help you clean you kitchen floor while cooking. She's a great walker and loves to explore. She listens very well and will use a pee pad if can't be taken out every 2 hours. She really took to my 10 year old son, she chose him as her human. She does take time to warm up to other dogs and people so give her time.

HAPPY is a very happy happy dog. Very bell behaved. She loves couch and she is wagging her tail and offering belly all the time. Sweet and listening. House trained, knows how to walk on the leash or comes when called off leash. She is a joyful, sweet girl that needs her own person. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her. I my house I have 2 senior chihuahuas that require a senior attention. They move slower. Happy gets along with them perfectly but its not the right house for her. I am looking for a great home for that will give her more attention and its more suitable for more energetic adult dog. She is heartworm negative.
