Story
Courtesy post by Hail Mary Rescue. Teddy is a 6 month old puppy, has been around other dogs, cats and kids and is fantastic. Pretty well housebroken should be easy one to finish once in a furever home. He has a prepaid appointment to be neutered on June 29th at the Warren County Human Society clinic in Front Royal. Adopter can take or return to foster before date and she can take care of getting him there. He is vaccinated and microchiped already and is looking forward to meeting his new home.

Story
Meet Handsome Scrappy Scrappy was adopted as an 8-week-old puppy and recently returned when 2 due to no fault of his own. Scrappy is a chiweinnie that loves to snuggle, play and be by his family. His owner was a boy that loved Scrappy and played with him every day until he became sick with severe allergies and doc said Scrappy had to go. With tears and a hard goodbye - he was surrendered to our rescue for him to find another alike loving home. Scrappy's world just changed as he was confused why the only family he has ever known is not with him. We told Scrappy not to worry- he'll have another loving family to love here soon and vowed to keep that promise to him. Scrappy is up to date on his vaccines, neutered and microchipped, and ready to go. He is dog-friendly, crate trained, and house-broken. Story
Meet Spike - Spike is 1 year old and 13 lbs. We think he is a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Mix (purely a guess). Spike LOVES people and LOVES other dogs. Spike is a happy and outgoing boy who enjoys running in the backyard, going for walks, squeaking every squeaky toy he can find and then puts himself in his crate for a nap:) Spike hasn't had any accidents in his foster home and he is good on leash. Spike is ready for any adventure and needs a home where someone is at home a good portion of the day. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines and is microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Lilly - Lilly is about 1.5 years old and 20 lbs. Our best guess on breed is Beagle/Chihuahua. Lilly is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. Lilly is good with other dogs. Lilly hasn't had any accidents in her foster home and has great house manners. Lilly is working on the "sit" command and is very food motivated. Lilly is not fostered with children, but we think she would do fine with children who are dog savvy and 8 years and up. Lilly is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Story
Meet Ranger - Ranger is about 2 years old and 22 lbs. Our best guess on breed is Beagle/Chihuahua. He loves bacon flavored bubbles! Ranger loves people and will follow his foster mom everywhere. Ranger is good with other dogs and cats. Ranger loves to sit in your lap and cuddle. Ranger is very food motivated and is learning the "sit" command. Ranger is house trained, and crate trained. Ranger sleeps in his crate at night with no issue. Ranger came from a hoarding situation and is on the "needy" side right now. He needs a home where someone is at home a good majority of the day. Ranger is not fostered with children, but we think he would do fine with children who are dog savvy and 8 years and up. Ranger is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Story
Meet Cocoa Bean! Cocoa Bean is an 8 week old Chihuahua/Terrier mix (BREED IS JUST A GUESS) who weighs 5 lbs. Cocoa Bean is a sweet puppy who loves to snuggle and wrestle with his sister, Pumpkin. Cocoa Bean is a typical happy go lucky puppy who is ready for his forever home. Because Cocoa Bean is a young baby, he'll require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. A refundable spay/neuter deposit will be added to the adoption fee for puppies and kittens. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
