Story
Meet Gracie, a sweet girl who just wants to snuggle up next to her person. Gracie is a 1 year old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love. She's a quick learner who already knows a few basic commands in the time she's been with us. Gracie's favorite spot is the lap or side of her chosen people. It may take her a little bit to warm up to new people and animals, but don't let this couch potato fool you! Once she's excited and ready to play she'll spin in circles like a ballerina before launching into full zoomies. Gracie gets along fantasticly with her foster brother and the neighborhood dogs, and would do well in a home with other dogs, though we aren't sure about how she is with cats yet. Gracie is still working on house and crate training but we know it's just a matter of time before she gets the hang of it. Don't miss your chance with this playful, loveable pup!

Story
Ralph came from a very sad situation with a backyard breeder where he was used for breeding and horribly neglected. Ralph does great with other dogs but is scarred of new people and it is taking some time for him to learn to trust humans so he is anxious around people including children. He still flinches when touched. He is making progress on house training. He will need someone who has experience dealing with very skittish dogs and has a great deal of patience and also a very secure fenced yard. He loves to sleep in his be under a blanket – a luxury he never had before coming to HART. Questions About this Animal? Story
Skippy is a charmer! His foster shared this information about him: He gets along well with other dogs, loves going on walks, and enjoys cuddling on the couch. He’s very quiet and rarely, if ever, barks. He’s also independent, shows no signs of separation anxiety, and does well when left home alone. He’s fully housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and sleeps through the night in his crate without any issues. He can be a little nervous when first getting into the car, but settles within about five minutes and usually falls asleep during the ride. Everyday household noises like the vacuum, washing machine, and dryer don’t seem to bother him either. He also listens well to simple commands like “stay.” Overall, he’s such an easygoing, sweet, and affectionate little guy. Please let us know if you would like to meet Skippy! Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Bambi! Bambi is about 2 years old, 14 lbs, and looks like a Chihuahua/Terrier mix. She is a sweet, playful little lovebug who adores cuddles, kisses, and being close to the people she knows and trusts. Bambi loves to play with both people and other dogs, and familiar canine friends seem to give her an extra boost of confidence, though she can also be very happy as an only dog with plenty of attention and playtime. She can be unsure of new people and may bark at strangers, so she does best with people who give her a little space and let her approach at her own pace. Bambi has made wonderful progress in foster care, is very smart, settles well at home, and does well when left alone. She would do best with a patient, loving family with no kids or dog-savvy children 16 and up who can respect her space. Once Bambi feels safe, her silly, affectionate personality really shines through. This dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. The adoption fee is $375.00. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CK Rescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check.
