Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 5/04/23 Litter Name: The Sunshine Litter Estimated Date of Birth: 2/09/2023 Dog Name: Daisy Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 12 weeks Approximate Weight: 8 lbs. Description: Daisy is your typical puppy: social, playful, and loving. She loves her littermates as well as playing with her toys. She's proven to do great with children.  Adoption Fee: $550.00  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. May 29, 2023, 11:24 pm

Story
Hi my name is Rayna! I am a three-year-old Chihuahua mix. I weigh about 16#. I’m currently being fostered with 3 dogs and 2 cats.It would be bestif there are no cats or small animals in the house I haven’t had the best life so I’m very scared and nervous at first. It takes me quite a few weeks to warm up to people. I’m looking for a calm family. I have never bit or snarled at anyone even though I’m very scared. My foster mom says a calm patient loving home would be best for me. I walk great on a leash. I’m crate trained and am doing great with potty training. My teeth are really good but I really love to eat canned food. It's my favorite. My foster mom says I’m a little spoiled and kind of picky. I'm looking for a home with another dog that will play with. My BFF is a German sheperd If your home would be a good match for me you can find an application at sandipaws.orgHer requirements are a completely fenced in yard and has to have another doggy friend in the home. She will bond with a dog before ever thinking of a bond with people, this is how she is.With patience, she will be more comfortable with you. She will need a home who will not push her to be held and babied, this is not Rayna and we don't know if she ever will be. P.S. My foster mom is looking for someone with experience with scared Chihuahuas.Thank youThank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org for more information on our organization or to fill out an application to adopt one of our pets. You can find information for volunteering on our site as well.

Story
Sweet L’il Texas girl here. Looking for a place to settle in and get some snuggles. I appreciate my surroundings and respect my fosters belongings such as furniture and carpets. I will need some basic training, but I'm a great 2 year old little dog that would just like to be your forever friend. It is believed that I may be part chihuahua, but it's anyone's guess since I was found on the streets. I like dogs and older children. Younger ones scare me too much. If you are looking for a fur baby that will love, lick and be your best friend, that’s me.DATCP# 483538

Story
Sweet & spicy Gentry wants to meet you! This adorable little Chihuahua mix is just 8 lbs., but he packs a ton of puppy energy & personality! Gentry was born in early March & experienced quite a bit of drama in his first several weeks, including rejection from his mother, a cross-country trip from TX to WI, & a battle with parvo, which he won. Through it all, Gentry has remained sweet, trusting, & full of joy. Although he loves people & dogs of all sizes & shapes, because Gentry is still teething, he would not be well suited for a home with young children. He loves to play with toys, especially with people or other dogs. Gentry does not like being alone, so his best home will have other dogs to help him feel secure. After a good play session, Gentry loves to be held & cuddled. He is crate-trained & doing very well on house training, provided he has ample opportunities to get outside. Gentry will be an amazing, lifelong companion for the right person or family!DATCP# 483538

Story
Alley is a chihuahua mix, about 2 years old & 7 pounds. She's incredibly smart, fairly well-mannered, & very playful. Once she comes out of her shell she gets along well with other dogs up to about 20 pounds. It's unknown how she does with cats or children. She'll need a VERY PATIENT forever person or family as currently, she's afraid of being handled or petted by people. The breakthrough on that is coming & we want it to happen with her forever humans. She's working on potty training (& has improved a lot) & being on a leash. Honestly, we're not sure she's ever had a family or person but she's getting used to attention. A good home for her will have another dog around her age who can play with her & show her the ropes when it comes to doing her business outside. She's spayed, vaccinated, & microchipped.
