Story
Hello! I'm Lavender! I'm a young, petite little girl who was surrendered to the shelter because my owners were moving and they couldn't take me with them. This makes me really sad because that's the only home I've ever known! Since being at the shelter, I've been really scared of all the commotion and people I don't know. They've been very nice to me, and I'm slowly starting to trust them, but it takes me a little bit to warm up. In my past home, I lived with a dog and did well with them, but the dogs here make me a bit uneasy. That being said, I could probably share a home again with another dog but we would need to meet in person first to see if we are a good fit together. I also lived with younger and older kids and really loved them but they were my family that I had grown up with from the beginning. If my new home does have kids, they would need to be respectful of my space when I am uncomfortable. I just need someone who is willing to be patient with me while I learn to trust. I promise I will return the favor with lots of cuddles once I do! I'd love to break free from this place! Ask to meet me! Primary Color: Cream Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.31 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks

But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on April 26th and arrive on April 27th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 4/17/2024 Dog Name: Flower Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Chihuahua Mix Approximate Age: 1 to 2 years old Approximate Weight: 10 lbs. Description: Flower is a beautiful small girl who loves to snuggle and be carried around. She has a gorgeous coat and will be the best lap dog! She will be adopted quickly! She came from a home where the owner was unable to care for the many animals. She is used to being around dogs and cats of all sizes. She deserves the best home! Adoption Fee: $400.00We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. April 23, 2024, 11:36 pm

· Intake Reason: transferred from MADACCKnown with:· Cats: unknown· Dogs: unknown· Kids: unknown· Personality: very active dog that loves playingHi ya, my name is Scrappy and I am a spitfire; a small pooch with a huge personality. I am energetic and like to be kept occupied so I would love to be your constant companion and participate in many adventures with you. I have a wanderlust spirit which may be the reason I ended up as a stray at MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission). I am the perfect combination of charming and sassy; I know we can have boatloads of fun together. It would be great to go on a nice walk each day, especially when the weather is mild. Since I am a wee lad, I thoroughly enjoy being toasty warm; winter cold goes right through me so I am thrilled that Spring is here. I am a cheerful chap who is always ready to play and have fun; I have a comical streak that is sure to keep you smiling. I think it is important to get mental exercise every day, too, so I hope we can play some games that will keep my brain engaged. I have not really taken the time to learn any human words but I think with your patient and positive training techniques I could pick up a cue or two; yummy rewards wouldn't hurt either. I hope you make plans to stop by and meet me in person because I know you will agree that I am absolutely adorable; we will have such an amazing life together.#1

Story
Meet Barbie, the charming almost 2-year-old Chihuahua/Pug mix with a quirky personality and a heart full of love. She was rescued from a local shelter where it's apparent she had a rough start to life where a human was not nice to her as she sometimes gets startled by quick movements. Barbie's spirit shines brightly as she embraces each day with enthusiasm and resilience. Weighing in at 20lbs, Barbie adores playtime and craves attention. Beware though, if you're not giving her the attention she deserves, Barbie isn't shy about reminding you with a playful nip on the butt! We are working on that and she is doing better as long as she has toys to distract her! She's looking for a patient and understanding family who can provide her with the love and security she deserves, promising endless laughs and unconditional love in return. She does great with dogs of all sizes. Barbie's adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state and includes current shots, microchip, spay, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. An adoption application and contract are required. If you have any questions, please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. If you are interested in adopting Barbie please complete the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog
