Story
Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 7/17/2024 Dog Name: Alvin Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Chihuahua Approximate Age: 2-3 years Approximate Weight: 5 lbs Litter: Not a litter, but we call them the Little Troop of 4 (Brittany, Jeanette, Eleanor and Alvin) Description: Alvin was found running with a small pack of Chi mixes, they are so friendly and just crave attention.  Alvin has been doing well with potty training, seems to be crate trained.  Sleeps quietly in his crate at night.  He has been very quiet, not a barker.  Skittish in new situations, like when strangers approach.  He would probably do best in a house with kids - loves his foster's 12 year old girls best but he has been skittish around my husband.  Overall, he just wants to be around us and very affectionate.  It's estimated that he has a medium energy level.  He's spunky when he walks around the house, but also will lay down on the couch with you.  He is becoming more confident on a leash and going on walks too. Adoption Fee: $400We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. July 24, 2024, 8:24 am

FRODO, FREDDIE, FINLEY and FERGIE. Don’t let these small sizes fool you. These guys and gal are packed with personality. Huge!! A little full of themselves. Known for being feisty and full of energy, these cuties are always up for the task. They are fearless and love to make their presence known. Despite their spunky behavior they also love their downtime cuddling with their favorite human. One of their favorite past times is perched in your arms taking in the big ole world from the safety of their humans embrace. They never meet a stranger and are adored by everyone they meet. Once adopted they will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to their new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185.
