ola was pulled from Stanislaus Shelter’s red list on February 20th, just nine days after arriving completely shut down and overwhelmed. Like so many sensitive little souls, the shelter environment swallowed her confidence, and she quickly landed on the euthanasia list. But one foster stepped up. A transporter said yes. And because of that, Lola’s story didn’t end — it began. She spent her first weekend in quiet decompression, and she was an absolute angel. Once she moved to her regular foster home, she blossomed almost instantly. She now sleeps curled up with the foster’s daughter, plays joyfully with the resident dogs, and soaks up every bit of affection she can get. Her confidence grows daily, and her sweetness is undeniable. We’re looking for the perfect one-on-one home for Cheese, our 6-year-old Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix) with the sweetest soul and the funniest personality. Cheese has all of his shots, is potty trained, incredibly smart, playful, and full of charm. He’s the kind of dog that makes you laugh without even trying — wise beyond his years, silly when he’s comfortable, and a huge cuddle bug. He truly wants to be wherever you are and will happily go anywhere with you. He does get along with other dogs and can absolutely do play dates, but he truly thrives in a single-dog home where he can soak up one-on-one attention. We would keep him in a heartbeat, but we know he would do best being someone’s only dog. Cheese came from a home that didn’t treat him very well, and because of that, every bit of love and affection you give him, he soaks up completely. Once he bonds with you, his loyalty is unmatched. Sheldon loves his people, and believe it or not he loves to play. Sheldon is blind, but that doesn’t bother him and he learns his area quickly. Sheldon will lay on his back and loves to “wrestle”. Sheldon loves his belly rubbed,he gets so excited, it usually ends up being gentle wrestle play. Sheldon does sleep a lot, I call it power naps for his next play session. If you are looking for an older dog with still some play in him Sheldon is your guy. Sheldon loves to be held, and would make a great travel buddy since he really doesn’t care what’s going on around him as long as he is with his people. Sheldon is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on his rabies vaccine.
