Hello! My name is Maple and I am a very loving little 10 whole pounds of cuteness. The people I adopted her from said her birthday is August 11, 2025 and that she had a litter of puppies on June 27th, 2026. They said they gave her shots but have no receipts and that they did it at home. I wasn't able to get her in to be spayed yet so she could live her best puppy life and not have to be a mother. I encourage you to look into what options you have to get her spayed asap. She is great in the car but is absolutely scared of being in new places. If someone gets near she will bark a lot but once she is close enough sniff and lick their hand she's a real sweetheart. I was told she was potty trained, but she's had accidents in the house I haven't been able to resolve and my landlords have told me they no longer want her here. I think she'd be good with kids. She gets along with my chill cat but wants to chase my scaredy cat. I have been working on the training basics, sit/stay, so on.

Welcome Maverick to CCPAL Foster Program. Maverick is a 4-year-old Chiweenie. He weighs about 19 pounds. He is good on a leash, good in a car. He is potty trained and very loyal to his person. He knows “go for a walk”, “stop”, “leave it”, “It’s the neighbor” and a few other commands. He is in a home and the owner is having some very big financial issues and need to find Maverick a new home. Maverick has some allergies to food and the food that he can is a Duck and Potato kibble. He has some allergies to grass. He has take Apoquel successfully to handle the allergies. He warms up slowly and is very loyal and bonded once he has bonded. He would be great for a senior couple or single wanting a companion. A nice yard for him to get exercise in would be nice or someone that could have the time to take him on a couple of walks would be great. He isn’t the social butterfly that some dogs are so a matching owner would be the best fit. He would be a great dog to alert you to someone at the door or something being off in the environment. He is good on walks and would help a senior be more active. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He could go with children but we would like them to be teens. I think a quieter home would be best for this boy. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Welcome Toby to CCPAL Rescue. Toby is a 6-year old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix). Toby lost his owner in death and the immediate family live on a farm with farm animals. They worry about his safety with those animals so they turned him over along with another dog for rehoming. We are happy to have Toby. He is outgoing, good on a leash, good with people including strangers. He weighs 13 pounds and is potty trained. He is learning to be crated and is a lovely dog. He will be with us while we look for his new forever home. He is neutered and will get all his vaccines all current while he awaits his new family to fall in love with his photo and video online. He is good with other dogs and would be fine with another dog or as an only dog. He is here in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washinton, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He would be fine with a moderately active family and would be a great companion for a walker. He loves to walk. He would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He’s a happy-go-lucky little guy who thinks life is one big racetrack. With his constant tail wiggles, bouncy puppy energy, and comical antics, Diggie is basically the life of the party wrapped up in 6 pounds of fluff. #SmallsButMighty If Diggie were human, his foster swears he’d be on a NASCAR pit crew—speed, efficiency, and a little chaos all rolled into one. His absolute favorite thing? Running and bouncing, like he’s auditioning for the canine Olympics. Diggie is super sweet, friendly, and curious. He’s loved every person he’s met (earning “perfect angel” status at the vet), and he happily plays with his foster buddy Beatle. Big dogs? He met a few through the fence and didn’t blink an eye. Honestly, he thinks everyone is a friend waiting to happen. Traveling? No problem—he’s great in his crate and rode like a champ in the car. Loud noises? Doesn’t care. Getting picked up? That’s when the laughs come—he pulls a full-on Superman stretch with wiggles that will crack you up every time. #FlyingSmallz Training-wise, Diggie is all puppy—high energy, easily distracted, but food and toy-motivated. He hasn’t mastered commands yet, but he’s working on coming back without pulling the ol’ “catch me if you can” routine. Potty-wise, if he goes outside first, he’s accident-free indoors. He’s crate trained, non-destructive, and even kind to his bedding (a rare puppy skill!). When supervised, he’s been a very good boy indoors—no counter surfing (tiny legs = tiny reach). Diggie’s ideal home? One with a super secure fenced yard—because this tiny rocket is FAST—and preferably a small dog friend to match his zoomie energy. He loves to dig (for fun, not escape) and would thrive in a home where playtime is plentiful. Formal activities? Fast CAT is calling his name. He was born to chase and run. At just 6 pounds, Diggie Smalls is proof that the best things really do come in small, hilarious packages.

Small mixed breed experience is recommended. She is an indoor dog.  She likes walks and car rides. Mojo is ready for his new home. He will need to have very slow introductions with other household pets and no kids and needs an experienced handler. He came to us with his brother and he was very very fearful. He may have some medical issues so he must be going to somebody who can afford vet care. His brother passed away due to an unknown chronic illness. He will come with a 2 week training package to help him settle in and then 50% off training for the remainder of his life. He comes with a contract.
