Today, he is healthy, trusting, and patiently waiting for the forever home he so deeply deserves. Caramelo is proof that even after hardship, a heart can remain soft. Story
Dudley is an energetic, dachshund mix who’s ready for a fresh start. Despite a tough beginning—he was unhoused and living in a car—this little guy hasn’t lost his zest for life. Dudley can be unsure of new people and will need time and patience to build trust. Once he feels safe, his loyal and loving nature shines through. He’s also quite vocal, so he may not be the best fit for apartment living. This brave boy has already shown how resilient he is. Now he’s ready for the next chapter—a stable, caring home where he can finally feel secure and loved. Could you be the one to give Dudley the happily ever after he deserves? Our adoption process and application can be found at - https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process Note: Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
Duke loves to spend his days cuddling with people. He’s not much for kids but loves people over the age of 10. He’s great with cats and dogs. He loves to curl up in blankets and just stay cozy. He loves to run around with you and acts like a puppy when he’s playing! He has the greatest eyebrows- looks like the Madagascar penguins. He’s a real sweetheart and is just the biggest cuddle-bug.

Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Meet Rumi🧡 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped, and heartworm negative. * Recently received treatment for pancreatitis. Should avoid being fed fatty foods. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Rumi had stayed at the Gimje City Shelter for over two years after giving birth to puppies, living in a cramped space. Afterwards, she was placed on the euthanasia list, so Adogs quickly rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is scared and fearful of people. Still tends to get scared even with familiar people, but wags her tail and gets excited when she sees the person who takes her for walks. * With Dogs: Gets along with other dogs at our center with no issues. * Separation Anxiety: Unclear since she’s living communally at our center. * Potty Training: Not confirmed as she resides communally at our center. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Is a well-behaved walker who enjoys being outside and does not pull on the leash. May initially feel a bit intimidated and sit down after a few steps to scan the surroundings. Once adjusted to the environment, she walks forward confidently. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Biting: May growl at times, but calmly accepts being touched. While the growling is a sign of being fearful of people, she has never shown any aggressive behavior, such as nipping or putting teeth on skin. * Bark: Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Like: Likes going for walks.
