Story
story: Thank you for interested in adopting Buddy. Please know that Buddy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we've done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Buddy is not high in energy level and likes to take a slow walk, taking time to observe and sniff other things. When he was a puppy, he was small and weak and was bullied by his siblings. He gets nervous towards other dogs. He is not comfortable when the other dog tries to dominate and when the other dog has a young puppy energy so much that it can annoy others. However, once he becomes friendly with other dog, he gets along very well. He stayed in the shelter for a long time so he lacks socialization but he is gentle and careful once he decides to be a friend with the people and the dogs. Now, he is under socialization training. He has not met children yet but is generally calm and good with people. The foster believes buddy is calm and friendly with anyone and so can be with children. Buddy is nervous but stays calm in the crate. He behaves well when he is alone in home. He is under leash training. If he gets scared he just stops and refuses to move. When he gets scared during walks, he leans on the people next to him and depends on the person for protection. With something he has not eaten before, he doesn’t eat it right away. He rubs it on his body first. After he tries it one or two times, he doesn’t do it anymore. Lacking various experiences, he gets scared easily but is also good at overcoming them. If you’re interested in adopting Buddy, feel free to contact us for more info! Thank you.

Thank you for interested in adopting Chewy. Please know that Chewy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Rescue story: The rescuer feeds some stray dogs far away from her home and she found a mama dog with 4 puppies. She was not able to help them but only could give them enough food to survive. One day, one of the puppies voluntarily came close to the rescuer and when she held the puppy, she found the puppy was covered by ticks and fleas and was in a very bad condition. The rescuer decided to find all of the dogs and was able to capture the mama dog and the rest 3 puppies. Chewy is very friendly with all dogs and is affectionate towards people. She likes to have close relationships with people. She loves taking walks and being outdoor. She is good on leash withouth pulling. At first, she pulled a little from being excited but now she is very good and follows the foster gently. She sometimes become stubborn at some points she wants to sniff but overall, she is very good on leash! She doesn’t have a guarding behavior and waits very well for her turn during the treat time. She is 100% outdoor potty trained and never made a mistake.

**About Gummy** Thank you for your interest in adopting Gummy! Please note that Gummy is an international rescue from South Korea. Upon approval of your application, you will need to pick him up from an airport such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, or IAH. Don't worry; international adoption isn't a complicated process, and we've been doing it successfully for many years. We'd be more than happy to explain how it works. Rescue Story: Gummy's rescuer cares for stray dogs in a remote area, where she discovered a mother dog with her four puppies. She provided them with enough food to survive but was initially unable to do more. One day, one of the puppies approached the rescuer on its own. As the rescuer held the puppy, she noticed that it was covered in ticks and fleas and in poor condition. Determined to help, the rescuer found and rescued the entire family, including the mother dog, Chewy, and the remaining three puppies, Cracker, Jelly, and Gummy. Personality: Gummy is an active and playful dog with a lively personality. While he may be a bit shy when approached suddenly, he quickly warms up and becomes friendly. His intelligence and playful nature bring joy to everyone around him. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of people of all ages, including children and adults. Gummy is currently in a foster home with a cat, which he is curious about, but he's more interested in playing with other dogs. He's independent and well-behaved when left alone, and he doesn't bark or whine. Gummy isn't fond of car rides but behaves well when getting into the car. He prefers using indoor training pads for peeing and enjoys going outside for poop time. He's good on a leash and continues to improve with ongoing training. Gummy is still in South Korea. If you are interested in adopting Jelly, please go through our international adoption process. Gummy is ready for her forever sweet home. Story
**NOTE: Jupiter is currently in Korea, awaiting her forever family. Upon adoption, he will be lovingly transported to his new home. ---------------------------------------- Jupiter's tale is one of triumph over adversity. He was born to a brave Dosa mother, rescued from the harsh realities of the dog meat trade. This remarkable mother, against all odds, gave birth to Jupiter and his siblings, turning a story of survival into one of hope and new beginnings. As spring blossomed, so did Jupiter's new life at our partner’s boarding house. It's here that he's shown his true colors: a gentle, submissive, and well-behaved boy, winning the hearts of both his canine pals and the humans who meet him. Jupiter isn't just a friendly face; he's also a quick learner. He's recently aced his leash training at a dog school, proving his eagerness to please and adapt. His blend of intelligence and pleasant nature makes him the perfect pet for those seeking a companion who's as enjoyable to train as he is to play with. But it's his interactions with people that truly showcase Jupiter's extraordinary character. He approaches strangers with gentle affection, his tail wagging and eyes shining, ready for love and cuddles. His open heart reflects not just his resilience, but also his unwavering trust in the goodness of people. Jupiter is looking for a forever home where companionship and kindness reign. He's an ideal match for someone who works from home or enjoys the quieter pace of retirement. Jupiter yearns for a family that appreciates his gentle spirit and is ready to share many joyous moments together. ------------------------------ For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/jupiter/

Story
**NOTE: Rover is currently in Korea, awaiting his forever family. Upon adoption, he will be lovingly transported to his new home. ------------------------------ Rover and his sibling were rescued from the streets of a small village in Paju, Korea last winter. After being sent to a city pound, he was fortunately saved from being euthanized and has been living with a loving foster family ever since. Rover may be shy around new people at first, but don’t let that fool you – he is actually a very sweet and affectionate dog once he has had the chance to warm up to his humans. Going on walks is one of his favorite activities, and he gets just as excited about meeting and playing with other dogs he comes across along the way. Although he may be a bit hesitant around strangers on the streets, Rover is generally a friendly and sociable pup who loves making new friends. Rover is ok with bathing, car riding, and trimming nails and so far has not shown separation anxiety. He would thrive in a home where his new owner either works from home or is retired and resides in a tranquil and calm neighborhood. If there is already a furry sibling for him to play with, that would be the cherry on top. With proper care, affection, and patience, Rover has the potential to become an exceptionally devoted and affectionate companion to his new adopter. ----------------------------- For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/rover/

Story
**NOTE: Currently, Sophie is in Korea, waiting for her forever family in Seattle. If you are interested in adopting her, please check out our adoption process. >> https://www.freekoreandogs.org/adoption/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sophie is a dog born in May 2022, part of a litter of five. Her early days required special care, as she was hand-raised due to her mother's health issues. She has spent most of her life in a foster home, sharing space with her foster parent and four other rescue dogs. Sophie loves to be close to humans, even when sleeping, and greets her foster family with joyful jumps when they return home. Despite her love for company, Sophie has an independent streak and enjoys playing by herself. She has lived with up to eight dogs but seems to prefer being an only dog. Sophie is a bit territorial about her space, food, and toys, especially around other dogs. However, she's friendly and well-mannered with other dogs she meets outside, like at the dog park. Sophie enjoys walks but she pulls on her leash a bit when she's excited or chasing small animals. She's calm during baths and rides well in a car, even on long trips. Diet-wise, Sophie eats a single-protein duck formula (Go Go Feed Solution LID Duck) to avoid allergies, as she sometimes chews on her front legs. She does best-avoiding beef, pork, and chicken, sticking to duck-based foods and natural snacks. Sophie doesn't show signs of separation anxiety, especially if she has a good walk before being left alone. Sophie is a bright, affectionate dog who loves human companionship. She responds well when called by her name. Sophie would thrive in a loving home where she can be the center of attention and form a strong bond with her guardian. She will be most comfortable as the only dog. ----------------------------------- To learn more about Sophie or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/sophie-2/

Story
Woof! 🐾 Hey there, I'm a bit of a shy pup when you first meet me. I'm like a cat—I need about 3-7 days to warm up and show you my true, adorable personality. But hey, patience is the key to our friendship! I absolutely love other dogs. I can't resist saying hi to each and every furry friend, and my cute face tends to win them over. I'm happiest in a home where I can play and interact with another doggy buddy—I'm quite dependent on their company. When it comes to my energy level, I'm just right—moderate is the way to go. I enjoy outdoor adventures, but indoors, I'm the picture of calm and contentment. Walks are a bit new to me, so if something startles me, I might just plop down and pretend I'm invisible. Sharing is caring, especially when it comes to treats and toys. I'm more than happy to share them with my doggy pals. I'm also crate-trained, so I know how to cozy up in my crate when needed. Whether it's indoor playtime or taking care of business outdoors, I'm ready to be the best companion you've ever had. Can't wait to charm my way into your heart! 🐶❤️ Rescue story: My mom gave birth to 6 puppies in a shelter. All of my sibling has found their forever homes and I think I’m ready to find THE ONE!!

I'm Sean, a 3-year-old male Jindo Borzoi mix. First things first, have you noticed the adorable little black spot behind my ear? It's my unique charm! Now, I'll admit, I can be a bit shy at first, but give me some time, and I promise I'll warm up to you. Once we're friends, I'm all about cuddles and getting along famously. I enjoy outdoor adventures as much as cozy indoor moments. I'm up for walks, hikes, or just chilling at home. I always get along well with other dogs and I know how to play gently with them.
