Story
Bandit is a very sweet 8 year old, 20lb, Terrier mix. He has very long legs, curly, wire hair and a little mohawk! He came to our rescue after his family moved to an apartment where he wasn't allowed. Bandit has adjusted well and has been friendly with everyone he has met! He gets along with dogs, cats, bunnies, and kids! He can be a little protective over his food and toys towards other animals but he is easily corrected. While he has lived with all types, he is pretty mellow and doesn't appreciate hyper animals or young puppies in his face. He will play with his buddies on occasion, but we think he would be happy in a home with older/calm pets or he would be fine being your one and only! He loves a good scratch and will follow you around the house, but he is not overly needy and constantly asking for attention. He is content relaxing on his dog bed most of the day. He has moments where he is playful and goofy as he throws his toys around but, you'll see a completely different side of him the moment you pull out his leash! He loves to go for walks and will jump up and down in anticipation! He is, generally, very well-behaved but he can forget his manners on a walk. He pulls and barks at other dogs in excitement. Other than that, he is a very good boy who wants to please. Bandit is great in a car, knows basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Story
Odb was found on the streets of Long Beach. After getting him fully vaccinated fixed in microchipped he is ready for his help forever home. He is estimated to be about 9 years old about 24 lb and is a poodle mix. He is very easy going laid back and loves to cuddle. He loves to go and walks and enjoys just following you around the house. Huge you best with kids over the age of 10:00 as he has a little bit of older man. Or if he is around respectful children that also works as well. He is a great boy it would bring peace and love to a loving home.

Great old man. He was found as a stray. He is fully vetted and vaccinated. He is unable to get fixed due to the Dr stating hh has a heart murmur and that he is ok to not be fixed. He would do best older kids or an adult house hold. He loves to go on walks and does zoomies when you first get home.

Story
Hi! My name is Meeko, a name that has several meanings but I like that it means ‘bud’ as in buddy. I’m looking for someone who is looking for a lil buddy like me. I’m sweet, calm, gentle, quiet and content. Being 90% deaf makes me a pretty laid-back kind of pup but I can read your hand signals and body language when you ask me to do something, like go for a walk! Walks are my jam though I’m no athlete. My foster mom takes me on 2 – 3 short walks a day. When I’m not walking I am either sleeping (I am a professional napper after all) or wondering what you are making in the kitchen, I adore all food. My new home would need to be set up to understand my limitations because I am deaf. I will need a solid routine and guidance as well as security when unattended to do my best. Originally I was found as a stray and put into the care of a shelter. I was a mess covered in mats but they groomed me right away. They had me in foster care for a short while and then transferred me to what was thought to be a rescue. Unfortunately after almost a year the ‘rescue’ did not recognize the signs that said I really needed to be seen by a vet. Instead, they saw me as a problem that wasn’t adoptable and transferred me to a real rescue (thankfully). SBRSC took me to the vet the very next day! After several medical checks, I was treated and healed from a severe ear infection that I had in both ears and may have been a primary contributor to my hearing loss, a urinary tract infection that was making me seem incontinent, and a yeast infection on my skin that made me scaly, itchy, and smelly. I had been miserable for so long but now I feel amazing! Other than routine vet checks, I am great with daily joint supplements in my high-quality food (oh how I love food), an ear cleaning once a week, going to the groomers once a month, and even though I am potty trained, I should wear a belly band to avoid accidents if you are gone for more than 2 – 4 hours. If you can, I’d love to go on outings with you. I do great on car rides and I love going to coffee shops with friends. Be aware though that my excitement can get me carried away a bit and I may bark with joy saying hello to everyone. And while I do love to go on walks, I see no shame in taking a stroller ride if the walk is long of if I am slower than everyone else. Feel free to dress me up when we go out too, I love fashion! When I speak of others, I love all people, but I would prefer a more mature home that doesn’t have a lot of hustle and bustle. Other animals are great as long as they are chill like me. Dogs, cats, birds, it doesn’t matter to me, everyone to me is a buddy! If you think we may be a good match, or you would like to get to know me better, please click the Adoption Application button below my bio on the rescue website, here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/9403 PLEASE NOTE: Due to home introductions that are part of the adoption process, we can only accept applications for interested parties who are in or near North County San Diego, California at this time.

Story
Hello... I'm Captain! I'm a nine-year-old male, Miniature Poodle mix, with a heart of gold. My foster mom tells me all the time how special I am. I have one eye that’s kind of hard of see out of and the other eye is removed. But that doesn't stop me from getting around one bit! I adore other dogs and all kiddos. My foster mom tells me that I have a special ability for knowing when my love and comfort is needed. She calls me her heart boy. I love nothing more then sitting on the couch with my foster family and giving hugs and kisses. They better make room for me, because I’ll find a way to be with them. I love life, making people happy, and barking at the cat (even though he ignores me). I also like our bunnies and Guinea pigs too, helping my foster mom clean their cages. If you are looking for the perfect helper boy and new best friend, I’m your guy! If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed.
