Story
Kingston is a sweet boy, but was not socialized properly as a puppy so he is anxious and reactive toward other dogs, especially on a leash. He has bitten several people, in situations where he is resource guarding or feels like his space has been invaded. He needs a new owner who has a very quiet household, and will respect his space. He is house-trained, loves doing brain games, playing fetch and learning new tricks. He is adorable and is mostly a love, but his unpredictability with nipping and biting means we can't keep him.

McFlurry likes treats. McFlurry on the move. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is McFlurry, and I arrived at CSAC about a month ago from a shelter. I have had a tough start. I was found stray, and I had a broken back leg. Everyone was amazed that I was walking around on it. I had it for so long, the bones could not mend back together so the vet suggested amputating the leg. Unfortunately, I had to wait for surgery to remove the leg. I had an upper respiratory infection and a skin infection around the area where my surgery was going to take place. No one wanted to put me in even more danger. The great vets kept me comfortable while I waited for the antibiotics to clear up the infections. I finally had the surgery to remove my broken leg. You can see I am on the mend and waiting to find my new, loving home. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Story
Coco is a lovable 7-year-old female Cockapoo who weighs about 15 lbs. She is a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys being with her family and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Coco does experience some separation anxiety, and we've been giving her calming anxiety treats, which have helped her stay more relaxed when we're away. She does best with people who can provide her with consistency, patience, and plenty of companionship. She has been wonderful with our own children, but she is not comfortable around other kids. Because of this, we believe Coco would be happiest in a home with adults or a family with older children who understand and respect her boundaries. This has been a difficult decision for our family. As our schedules have become increasingly busy, we can no longer give Coco the time, attention, and routine she deserves. We want to find her a home where she can receive the love and care she needs for the rest of her life.

Story
Hello,Nalla is a great puppy but needs a home within the next week due to some life changes. Looking for her to be with a family that can love her and be available a bit more than her current home. She's been with us since she was a few weeks old and has been a pleasure. She has a great temperament with children and people in general. She's been to puppy daycare plenty of times and has had no issues at all. We've had dog walkers come by the house to take her out and she has no issues with strangers. She is potty trained but has her moments where she will go on a rug if we don't make it back home to her in time. She will not go on hard wood which is what we have in our home now outside of a rug. Like most dogs, she doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks. She’s not a barker as she makes more noise in her sleep than awake. We do have a health plan for her and she has shots coming due in the next few weeks. We’ll try to make sure we get those taken care of soon.
