Story
Simba is a small adult dog with a sweet and loyal personality once he feels comfortable. He loves being around his person and enjoys a calm, structured environment. Simba is crate trained and does well with routine. He can be anxious in new situations and around unfamiliar people, which may cause him to bark or become defensive. He will likely bark quite a bit during the first few days as he adjusts to a new environment. Because of this, Simba would do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who understands how to give him time and space to adjust. He would do best in a home without small children. Simba would do best in a house rather than an apartment, as he can be vocal at times. A home without carpet is preferred. Simba has so much love to give and forms a strong bond with his owner. With patience, consistency, and the right environment, he can be a very loyal and rewarding companion. We are looking for a home that can provide him with stability.

Story
Hello,Nalla is a great puppy but needs a home with a family that can love her and be available a bit more than her current home. She's been with us since she was a few weeks old and has been a pleasure. She has a great temperament with children and people in general. She's been to puppy daycare plenty of times and has had no issues at all. We've had dog walkers come by the house to take her out and she has no issues with strangers. She is potty trained but has her moments where she will go on a rug if we don't make it back home to her in time. She will not go on hard wood which is what we have in our home now outside of a rug. Like most dogs, she doesn't like thunderstorms or fireworks. She’s not a barker as she makes more noise in her sleep than awake. We do have a health plan for her and she has shots coming due in the next few weeks. We’ll try to make sure we get those taken care of soon.

Story
Astro & Scooby (bonded Pair) Astro: Poodle Mix 4 years old 24 lbs White Scooby: Poodle Mix 3 years old 17.5lbs White Meet Astro: Astro is a loving, friendly dog with a sweet personality and a loyal heart. He enjoys being close to his people, whether that means curling up on the couch, following you from room to room, or settling into your lap for extra attention. While he is mostly a laid-back couch potato, Astro has a playful “witching hour” in the evenings when he loves to romp around the house with toys, especially stuffed toys with squeakers that bring out his playful hunting instincts. He is friendly with new people and generally does well with other dogs, though he can be a little cautious at first. Astro would likely thrive in a quieter home environment where he can feel secure and relaxed. He may need patience when left alone, but he continues to improve with reassurance and consistency. One of Astro’s most endearing qualities is how devoted he is to his brother, often grooming him affectionately throughout the day. Astro was rescued with his brother, and they share a close bond. Meet Scooby: Scooby is a gentle, reserved dog who takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet nature shines through, especially in his irresistible puppy-dog eyes. He has a calm, medium-energy personality and enjoys going on walks and relaxing with his people. Scooby tends to ignore other dogs for the most part, though he shares a very close bond with his brother. He would likely do best in a quieter adult household where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. Scooby can become anxious when left alone and may bark at times, so he will benefit from patient adopters who can provide reassurance and stability. He settles into car rides quickly after some initial nervousness and tolerates grooming with a little encouragement. Scooby is still learning basic commands like sit and stay, which gives his future family a wonderful opportunity to bond with him through positive training and encouragement. Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting ASTRO & SCOOBY, please visit our website at www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to learn about our adoption process and download the adoption application, or click ADOPT ME! below. ASTRO & SCOOBY's adoption donation is $1495 *Must Be Adopted Together*
