I’m a 9-month-old cocker spaniel with movie-star looks and a heart that’s still learning humans can be pretty great. I didn’t have the easiest start in life, so new people can feel a little scary at first. But with patience, gentle pets, and a little time, I’m starting to figure out that snuggles are actually amazing. Other dogs are my favorite — I love having a dog buddy to play with and help me feel brave. My foster mom says I’m such a sweet boy and honestly… she might be onto something. I’m still a little unsure around smaller humans, so older, considerate kids would be the best fit for me while I keep building confidence. I’m learning more every day and doing so well! She’s friendly and outgoing at home, and while she may start off a little cautious in new places, she warms up quickly—especially if treats are involved. She is extremely food motivated and will happily demonstrate her “sit,” “come,” “shake,” and “outside” skills in exchange for snacks. She’s partially blind in her right eye, which gives her a bit of mysterious pirate‑princess energy, and may explain why she’s not a fan of chaotic environments or overly enthusiastic dogs. Big, bouncy dogs? Hard pass. Bossy little female dogs? Also no thank you. Calm senior pups? Absolutely—she’ll happily share space with the chill crowd. Lady came to us with 30% vision in her right eye due to juvenile cataracts because of this she will be more prone to glaucoma in that eye and will need annual eye check ups. Lady loves small squeaky toys, stuffies, and anything that makes noise when she pounces on it. She’s slightly active with a moderate energy level, meaning she’s always up for a walk, a car ride, or running errands, but she’s equally thrilled to curl up next to you and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. She’s a world‑class snuggler and will happily join you on the couch or in a chair, molding herself into whatever shape is required for maximum coziness. She’s potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and prefers a fenced yard because she’s not consistent about going potty on leash. She can be a bit barky in the crate at first, but she settles with time. She’s good with cats, good with adults, and likely best with older or considerate kids who understand her gentle, slightly nervous nature. Lady is a happy, goofy, affectionate little love bug who just wants to be with her people. She’ll make you smile with her antics, warm your lap with her snuggles, and brighten your days with her sweet, soulful presence. It’s clear Daisy spent most of her life confined to a kennel or small space with very little human affection, and now she’s learning — step by step — that she deserves so much more than simply being used to have puppies. She’s discovering what it means to feel safe, cared for, and truly loved for the very first time. Daisy is shy and cautious at first, but beneath that timid exterior is a dog who desperately wants connection. She has started climbing onto the bed beside her foster family and will quietly inch her way within arm’s reach for gentle pets, though she still avoids eye contact while she builds confidence. The sweetest part? The moment you stop petting her, she scoots just a little closer, silently asking for more. She’s also beginning to discover how to simply be a dog. Daisy watches her foster siblings carefully and has started sneaking toys away to investigate when she thinks nobody is watching. She enjoys turkey tendon chews, carrots, lick mats, and just about any treat you leave for her in a quiet, safe spot. She’s never pushy for attention or food and would much rather hang back and observe until she feels comfortable. Daisy is crate trained, does very well in her kennel, and knows commands like “outside” and “kennel/crate.” She’s making great progress with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule. She is still learning leash skills, but because she is easily frightened and remains a flight risk, a secure fenced yard will be required for her safety. Loud noises, thunderstorms, and overwhelming commotion can still be very scary for Daisy, so she would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands healing takes time. She greatly prefers the company of female dogs (who can blame her after all those years of breeding) and simply asks another confident canine companion (who won’t give off baby making vibes) in her forever home to help continue showing her the world is a safe place. Hi, I’m Max! 🐾 I’m a playful, devoted, slightly quirky guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. This past year has been a lot for me—my owner passed away last summer and I’ve had a couple big life changes since then. I’m the kind of dog who really likes routine, so I’m hoping my next home is one where things feel steady and safe. Once I settle in, I promise I’ll be the most loyal sidekick you could ask for. A trainer once described me in the funniest (and most accurate) way: I think I’m the lifeguard at the pool… but I don’t know how to swim. Basically, I sometimes feel like it’s my job to keep an eye on things and make sure everyone is okay. When new people show up or we meet someone on a walk, I just need my person to reassure me that everything’s under control. I’m a sensitive soul like that. At home, I’m happiest just being near my people. I don’t always need to cuddle—I just like hanging out in the same room, supervising life. That said, I do have some very strong opinions about personal space… mainly that your space is also my space if I decide it’s time for pets. 😄 I LOVE to play! Fetch and tug are my absolute favorites, and sometimes I try to play both games at the same time (I’m an innovator). Chewy bones, toys, and a good game are the fastest way to my heart. Another great way to win me over? Play with me! I’m all in. When you come home, get ready for the most enthusiastic greeting you’ve ever seen. I take my welcoming duties very seriously. I’ll also happily patrol the yard for squirrels, follow you around the house to keep track of you, and occasionally steal a tissue if you leave one unattended. Finder’s keepers. I can be a little slow to warm up to new people, but once I decide you’re one of my favorites, I’m incredibly affectionate and devoted. In the evenings, when I’m sleepy, I may give you a very dramatic side-eye if you disturb my beauty rest—but that’s just part of my charm. I do have some dog friends, but meeting new dogs can be unpredictable for me, and I appreciate people who let me take introductions at my own pace. I also bark when someone new comes to the house—just making sure the situation is under control! (Treats help me realize everything is okay.) What I’m really looking for is a patient, loving home that understands sensitive dogs and will help me feel secure again. In return, you’ll get a goofy, loving, loyal companion who will always keep track of you, play with you, and greet you like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened. Basically… I’m your lifeguard.
