You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Lady is an 18&#226&#128&#145pound Cocker Spaniel sweetheart who believes her true calling in life is to be your personal shadow, couch companion, and professional snuggle consultant. She’s friendly and outgoing at home, and while she may start off a little cautious in new places, she warms up quickly—especially if treats are involved. She is extremely food motivated and will happily demonstrate her “sit,” “come,” “shake,” and “outside” skills in exchange for snacks. She’s partially blind in her right eye, which gives her a bit of mysterious pirate&#226&#128&#145princess energy, and may explain why she’s not a fan of chaotic environments or overly enthusiastic dogs. Big, bouncy dogs? Hard pass. Bossy little female dogs? Also no thank you. Calm senior pups? Absolutely—she’ll happily share space with the chill crowd. Lady came to us with 30% vision in her right eye due to juvenile cataracts because of this she will be more prone to glaucoma in that eye and will need annual eye check ups. Lady loves small squeaky toys, stuffies, and anything that makes noise when she pounces on it. She’s slightly active with a moderate energy level, meaning she’s always up for a walk, a car ride, or running errands, but she’s equally thrilled to curl up next to you and soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. She’s a world&#226&#128&#145class snuggler and will happily join you on the couch or in a chair, molding herself into whatever shape is required for maximum coziness. She’s potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and prefers a fenced yard because she’s not consistent about going potty on leash. She can be a bit barky in the crate at first, but she settles with time. She’s good with cats, good with adults, and likely best with older or considerate kids who understand her gentle, slightly nervous nature. Lady is a happy, goofy, affectionate little love bug who just wants to be with her people. She’ll make you smile with her antics, warm your lap with her snuggles, and brighten your days with her sweet, soulful presence. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Age: 7 years old Weight: 40 lbs. Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: unknown but likely fine Kid friendly: calmer & older kids ok Potty trained: yes Crate trained: no Patch is a sweet senior Cocker Spaniel who may have had a rough start in life, but he’s more than ready to spend his golden years exactly where he belongs — cuddled up on a cozy couch next to his favorite person. This handsome boy loves a good routine. His ideal morning? A quick potty break in the yard followed by a short walk to sniff the world and maybe chase a few leaves (one of his favorite hobbies!). Patch is living in a home for the very first time, and he’s doing an amazing job learning the ropes. He hasn’t had accidents and thrives on a consistent schedule. He’s still figuring out how to tell his people when he needs to go out, but with structure, he does great. Patch absolutely loves toys and enrichment activities — they make his little heart so happy! Because of that, he can be a bit protective of his treasures. He would do best in a home with older children or adults who understand how to respect his toys and personal space. Patch is a sensitive, anxious soul who bonds deeply with his people. He would thrive in a home with another calm dog companion or with someone who is home most of the time and can offer him the companionship he craves. He can be left alone for short periods, and with patience, he may be able to build up to longer stretches over time. This snuggle bug loves bedtime as much as playtime — he sleeps with his foster in bed, or sometimes in his dog bed right next to the human bed if he gets warm. He is not crate trained and shows signs of past trauma or strong discomfort with crates. One is always available for him if needed, but he prefers to sleep and relax freely. When he’s excited, Patch wiggles his whole butt and does the cutest little happy dance just for you. He loves pets, attention, and being close — truly happiest right next to his person on the couch. Patch is curious about car rides and new adventures. He’s still a little nervous in the car but is excited about the idea of exploring new places with someone he trusts. Adoption fee: $595

I’m an energizer puppy who goes and goes and goes! When I finally slow down, I love curling up in a cozy, safe spot—especially the corner behind my foster’s chair. I’m still learning how to be a puppy, so I sometimes need reminders about what is okay to nibble and what’s not. I absolutely love the snow, and I’m very smart too—I’ve already learned how to ring a bell when I need to go outside! Adoption Fee: $695

Age: DOB 9/27/2025 Weight: 14.2 lbs. Dog friendly: yes Cat friendly: unknown Kid friendly: yes Potty trained: still working on it Crate trained: no   Meet Apollo, the adorably fluffy and floppy cocker spaniel puppy!  Apollo is a breeder release puppy about 4m old. He came to us with cherry eye and now he’s all fixed up.  This sweet guy had a pretty severe case of cherry eye so he does have a bit more droopy eyes, don’t worry it’s just cosmetic and doesn’t affect his vision.  Apollo is a sweet curious boy who thrives with gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. When it’s time to play Apollo loves to jump in and flop around, he loves a good sploot while laying down and I can assure you it is adorable.  Apollo isn’t as confident as some puppies so a good socialization class or dog friendly neighborhood would do wonders for him. To keep up with his potty training, Apollo would do best a fenced in yard, unless he has a dedicated adopter willing to help him gain more confidence on a leash.  He lives with another unrelated cocker spaniel puppy, an adult dog and 2 kids which he loves to snuggle up with. Apollo has been amazing during grooming and will often fall asleep during bath time.  Apollo is still a work in progress as all puppies are but if you give him a chance this sweet pup promises to give you all his love. Age: Estimated DOB 04/02/19 Weight: 25 lbs. Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes **NEEDS ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME & FENCED YARD** Looking for a calm work‑from‑home companion or a snuggly friend for quiet evenings? Meet Quinn (aka Walter) — a gentle soul with a heart ready to bloom. Walter was rescued from a breeder in Missouri along with dozens, possibly hundreds, of other dogs. Despite his difficult beginnings, he has adjusted beautifully in his foster home. His current home has a fully fenced yard. 🌿 House & Crate Manners •Fully potty trained: He follows the other dogs outside and has had excellent success. Because he’s always had access to a fenced yard, we’re not yet sure how he does going potty on a leash, but he’s such a gentle, observant boy that he’ll likely adapt with patience and routine. •Crate trained: He comfortably spends about 5 hours in his crate during the workday, enjoys a lunch break, and then settles again for another few hours. At night, he sleeps silently in his crate on a soft bed. With time and trust, he’d likely love to cuddle on the bed too. 🧸 Behavior & Personality • No chewing issues: Because of his unusual early life, Walter doesn’t chew on anything — not furniture, not shoes, not even toys (though he’s starting to show interest). • Exceptionally calm: He has a peaceful presence that makes him easy to live with. • Quiet indoors: He’s silent about 95% of the time. The remaining 5% is reserved for adorable, happy whines when he’s excited to come out of his crate. He does bark outside, but his bark is soft and becomes less frequent as he settles in. 🩺 Health & Care Walter is 7 years old with no known health issues. Due to the first six years of his life being so abnormal, he takes a low daily dose of Fluoxetine - a generally inexpensive medication. He eats kibble twice a day and enjoys all kinds of treats. 🐾 Gets Along With Everyone In his foster home, Walter lives with: • an older female Golden Retriever • a younger, reactive male Cattle Dog/Pit mix - who is also on Fluoxetine • an 11‑month‑old male Cocker Spaniel He has been wonderful with all of them - gentle, respectful, and easygoing. 💖If you’re looking for a serene, sweet companion who’s ready for a second chance at a real life, Walter might be your perfect match. Story
Ellie Mae is a sweet 3 year old girl. She loves to play and snuggle. She is very affectionate with my older son. Ellie is a very submissive dog and shows it when she’s nervous by peeing. She has had this behavior since she was a puppy. She doesn’t do it as much as she used to but on occasion she tends to show how nervous or excited she is. I recently had a baby and I don’t have enough time for her. I want to find a home that will show her the love she deserves.

These pups are in Minneapolis, Minnesota too!

Story
We are looking for a loving home for our 2-year-old cockapoo, Crouton. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, and we are committed to finding her the right home where she can truly thrive. She has struggled with jealousy and the adjustment since we welcomed a new baby. She would do best in a home where she gets a majority of the attention! * 2 years old, cockapoo * Very sweet, affectionate, and loves to cuddle * Laid-back and calm temperament * Enjoys being close to her people and would do best with someone who is home often * Barks when separated or confined Our goal: We want to place her in a home where she can get the time and the attention she deserves. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion in the right environment. We will be selective and would love to learn more about you and your experience with dogs. Please message me with a bit about your home, lifestyle, and experience.

I will be at Chuck and Don's in Eden Prairie, 8022 Den Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 for an Adoption Event on Saturday, April 4th from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Bella is a loving and affectionate Cockapoo with a heart full of devotion for her person. This sweet girl forms a strong bond with the people she trusts and will gaze at them with pure adoration, often sneaking in gentle kisses whenever she gets the chance. Bella’s favorite place to be is right next to her human—especially if that means curling up on the couch or snuggling under the covers at bedtime. Belly rubs are truly her idea of heaven! At home, Bella is calm, gentle, and incredibly loyal. She enjoys relaxing close to her person and prefers a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and comfortable. While she hasn’t shown much interest in toys, she is very curious about whatever her people might be eating and will happily keep you company during snack time. Bella is house trained and does a great job letting you know when she needs to go outside by standing at the door. Occasionally, she may have a small accident if she becomes overly excited or nervous, but with calm greetings and routine potty breaks, this has been easily managed. When meeting new people, Bella may give a couple of barks at first while she checks them out, but once she feels comfortable she warms up nicely. She does best in a quieter home, as a lot of noise or activity can make her nervous. Bella can be a bit vocal and takes her role as neighborhood watchdog seriously, often barking to announce when someone walks by her yard. Bella enjoys spending time outside exploring and would love a home with a fenced yard where she can roam, sniff, and chase the occasional squirrel. She walks on a leash but can pull a bit and prefers using the yard for potty breaks rather than going on leash. This sweet girl would do best in a cat-free home, as cats make her very nervous and she may react strongly to them. She appears friendly toward other dogs during brief interactions, though it’s unclear how she would do with constant canine companionship. Bella would likely thrive in a calm home with older or considerate children who understand her gentle nature. Overall, Bella is a devoted, gentle, and cuddly companion who simply wants to be close to the person she loves. In a peaceful home with plenty of affection, cozy blankets, and belly rubs, Bella will return that love tenfold and become a wonderfully loyal best friend. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Wren is a gentle and deeply devoted Cavachon with a tender heart and a quiet, sensitive nature. She forms an incredibly strong bond with her person—so strong that calling her a “velcro dog” hardly does her justice. Wren prefers to stay close to the one she trusts, following them from room to room and seeking comfort simply by being near. For the right person, she will be the ultimate loyal companion. She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time and is happy to include her in daily life. Although Wren is very sweet, she is also timid due to limited exposure to new experiences. Sudden movements, loud noises, or busy environments can make her nervous, and she may retreat to observe from a safe space until she feels comfortable again. Her response to stress is calm rather than chaotic—she prefers to quietly watch from her kennel or a cozy spot nearby. This sweet girl would thrive as the only dog in the home. She prefers not to share her person and can become protective when other dogs approach. In a calm, single-dog household, she will feel far more relaxed and secure. Wren is still learning about many everyday things. She is new to leash walking and currently freezes when the leash is introduced, so patient training will help her build confidence. She also hasn’t yet learned to manage stairs or jump on and off furniture, so her adopter should be comfortable helping her by lifting her when needed. While she isn’t interested in toys, Wren does enjoy chewing on treats like bones, pig ears, or bully sticks. She can also be a bit of a picky eater and prefers fresh or freeze-dried foods rather than dry kibble. Her forever family will need to be prepared for the extra cost of fresh food. Wren currently uses potty pads reliably and is expected to transition to outdoor potty training with time, patience, and encouragement. Because she can be nervous outdoors, a fenced yard may help her feel safer as she learns about the world around her. At her core, Wren is a calm, affectionate, and incredibly loyal little dog who simply wants to love and be loved by her person. In a quiet home with an understanding adopter who can offer patience, reassurance, and lots of closeness, Wren will blossom into a devoted companion whose bond with her human is truly special.
