💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Spike & Houles in Stillwater on Sunday, 9/13 from Noon - 2pm! 💚 Age: EST. DOB 11/09/2022 Weight: 28 pounds Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Working on it! Does well in a gated area Hello, world! My name is Grogu, and I’m searching for my forever family! My foster family says I’m making wonderful progress every day. I am sweet, affectionate, loving with an adorable personality. I adore the people in my foster home and love following them around just to stay close. I’m truly happiest when I’m with my humans. My Favorite Things Couch time: If you’re watching a movie, I’ll be right there, happily snuggled beside you. Bedtime: Sleeping near my favorite people is the perfect way to end the day. Toys: I love playing with toys! I’m still learning to share my favorites with other dogs, so supervised toy time helps me be successful while I continue practicing. House training: I’m fully potty trained with a consistent routine. My Skills & Manners Walking: I’m doing wonderfully on leash, and outings with me are a breeze. Crate time: I’m still getting comfortable with my crate. I share my opinions when crated or left in a gated area for about 15 minutes. When I've been allowed to have free roam, I'm quiet and make no messes. I'm continuing to work on this! I’m a loving, devoted dog with so many snuggles to give. I can’t wait to find my person—or people—to love for good. Could that be you? Adoption fee:$695

Age: Est DOB 11/30/25 Weight: 18 pounds Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Good on a schedule Crate trained: Yes, especially good at night. Still learning daytime crate use. Leash Trained: Yes Meet Magneto 🐾 Magneto is a sweet Cocker Spaniel who came to us from a Missouri breeder, and this handsome boy has already captured his foster family’s hearts! He is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. Magneto is the perfect combination of cuddly companion and playful pup. He is gentle, smart, affectionate, and loves people and other friendly dogs. He also does well with cats! At night, Magneto sleeps quietly in his crate and can hold it for about 8–9 hours. During the workday, he goes back into his crate with a lunchtime potty break and some time to stretch his legs and run around. He has access to a fenced yard where he can freely potty. He can also potty while wearing a harness and leash, although he does a little more marking when he is free to explore the yard—which has helped reduce indoor accidents. Magneto may be a little reserved when meeting new people for the first time. After all, strangers are strangers! But offer this sweet boy a few treats, some cuddles, and a little patience, and you'll quickly see his personality shine. Before long, he’ll be ready for playtime, bonding, and plenty of affection. His foster family has three resident dogs. Magneto loves playing with the younger pup and enjoys being nearby, while he is wonderfully respectful of the two older dogs and their boundaries. He really seems to enjoy having canine friends around. Magneto thrives on love, cuddles, quiet time, and plenty of play. Whether you're looking for a super cuddly lap dog or an energetic buddy to join you for some fun, Magneto just might be your perfect match! ❤️🐶 Adoption fee: $795

Age: Almost 5 years Weight: 33lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes We have been fostering Snickers for 2-1/2 weeks. He is a super sweet almost 5 year old chocolate cocker spaniel. He is calm and friendly with everyone he meets. He may be a little shy at first but laps up every bit of attention he can get. He loves to snuggle with me on the sofa. He has mixed feelings about his crate. He had done well when we’ve left him crated during the day (30-60 minutes). He sleeps well at night (in bedroom) once he’s in it. After getting him in with a treat and help on the last step, and talking to him for a few minutes he’ll settle for 8 hours or so. He has been good about potty training, but does need more leash training as he still circles and tugs some. He has been learning “come” (with a treat and hand signal) and “sit” when inside. Good with dogs and kids (5+). If it is too much activity, he goes and lies out of the way. Snickers would be a great addition to any dog friendly home. Adoption fee: $695

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Quigley is a gem—and the best friend you’ve always wanted. Quiggley, a 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a gentle spirit, a curious nose, and a heart that’s deeply devoted to his people. This very happy boy is even happier now that he is free from ear pain after having TECA surgery on both ears. Although most of his hearing is gone, Quiggley remains alert and incredibly aware of his surroundings. Whether he is hearing certain sounds or sensing vibrations, he still responds when our resident dogs bark. We’ve been working with Quiggley using a vibration collar to teach him commands, and he is doing so well! He is a very smart, loving boy with so much potential. We are also using hand signals to communicate with him and to praise him, including when he does his business outside. Quiggley loves his people and is happiest when he is right by your side. No matter where you go, he wants to be near you—which is especially helpful when he can’t hear! His potty training is about 90% complete, although he does still have occasional accidents. With patience and consistency, we expect him to continue making progress. And then there’s his loyalty. Quiggley is devoted to his people and wants nothing more than to be your constant companion. His fur is incredibly soft, and his eyes sparkle when he looks at you. He has a way of making you feel like you are his whole world. Quiggley will need continued follow-up care for his itchy skin, but he is already receiving help from a fantastic dermatologist who has been working closely with us. Quiggley is smart, affectionate, loyal, and incredibly special. He may have lost most of his hearing, but that hasn’t diminished his ability to love or connect with his people. We all need a Quiggley. ❤️ Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Age: est DOB 12/30/25 Weight: 17 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: Unknown, not tested Kid friendly: Yes, older or considerate children Potty trained: Very close! Crate trained: Yes ***Requires a companion dog in the home*** Meet Zeke! Zeke is an adorable 8-month-old pup with a big personality and plenty of puppy energy. He can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, but give him a little time to feel safe, and his sweet side starts to come through. Once he knows and trusts you, he will be your faithful companion! Zeke absolutely loves other dogs and lights up around canine friends, so he’d be especially happy with a social, playful dog buddy to help show him the ropes and requires a companion dog in the home. He’s active, goofy, curious, and always ready to run, wrestle, explore, and play. He has started to learn the joys of toys and tug-of-war as well! He does excellent in his kennel, though he can bark for a little bit when he is especially antsy or too tired to realize he is tired. He likes being around other people and dogs when he is sleeping, so a kennel in the bedroom is ideal, if possible. Zeke is also still working on his potty training but is making great progress every day. He already prefers going outside; he is just learning how to signal when he needs to go out. Zeke really is a good and brave pup. He doesn't have much experience with people or the world yet, but he is doing his best to learn everything and picks up new things quickly. He is learning to go up and down stairs, respond to "leave it" and "outside," appreciate the comfort of snuggly blankets, enjoy being petted, and discover toys and more. He is still shy and easy to startle, but he puts on a brave face and quickly gets over it. Once he fully settles into his forever home and has more experience under his puppy belt, we suspect he will be confident, assured, and living life to the fullest. It’s clear how much he loves being praised, getting treats, and experiencing new and exciting things, which should help the process! Zeke would do best with a patient family who understands that new humans can be a little intimidating at first and who’s ready for the energy and fun (and chaos!) that come with an 8-month-old puppy. However, this phase won't last forever. You're sure to see him open up and blossom in no time. If you’re looking for a lovable adventure buddy with a soft heart, increasing confidence, and lots of zoomies, Zeke might be your guy. Adoption fee: $895

💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Forgotten Star Brewing in Fridley on Saturday, 9/12 from Noon - 2pm! 💚 Age: Est DOB 8/30/25 Weight: 12.6 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown/not tested Kid friendly: Unknown/not tested Potty trained: Very close! Crate trained: Working on it, getting better Meet Cider! Cider is a happy, loving young dog who greets the world like it's the best thing that's ever happened to him — because as far as he's concerned, it just might be. At around 12 pounds, and one year old, Cider has all the puppy energy you'd expect and loves to put it to good use. Fetch? He's a natural. Tug-of-war? Bring it on. He's got a serious love affair with his toys — though he's still learning that not everything in the house counts as one, so a watchful eye (and maybe a "leave it") goes a long way while he figures out the difference. He can get some great zoomies going, but don't let this fool you — Cider also knows how to wind down. He has plenty of sleepy, cuddly moments where all he wants is to be right next to his person, soaking up the quiet. He's an attentive little shadow, always keeping tabs on what you're up to, and he lights up the moment you walk in the room. He's even been known to stand up on his hind legs and reach his paws out for a little more attention when a pet just isn't enough — as if to say, "just a little longer, please?" Cider is curious rather than cautious. New sounds, new sights, new experiences — he takes it all in with wide-eyed wonder instead of fear. You can practically see the gears turning as he processes this big, wonderful world. He's making great progress on house training (about 70-75% of the way there!) and is learning the ropes of leash walking — he's still getting used to the idea that walks involve a little teamwork rather than going wherever his nose leads, but he's a quick study and getting better every day. Cider is a dog who's clearly decided that people are wonderful and life is good. No one ever told him it could be this good — and he's determined to enjoy every second of finding out. Will you be the one to walk by his side through this big, beautiful world? Adoption fee: $895
