Story
Hi, I’m Ember! I’m a 1.5-year-old, 47 lb, Collie/Cattle Dog mix that is ready for a furever home! I’ve been through a lot in my short life. After raising a litter of puppies, I was diagnosed with a rare malignant cancer. After completing a few rounds of chemo, I came out the other side stronger (and officially TVT-free!). I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I feel safe, I’m all love, I’ll lean into you for scratches, follow you around, and be your most loyal companion. I love playing with other dogs, tossing my toys in the air, and running around chasing anything that moves (bonus points if you have a yard or take me on adventures!). I’m looking for an active home that understands a fun, energetic herding girl like me. I’d love to join you for walks, hikes, runs, or even just some good playtime. I’m house trained, crate trained, and hardly ever bark, too! I’d do best in a home with kids over 12 and no cats, please. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, slightly goofy best friend who just wants to be loved, I think we might be perfect for each other. Schedule an appointment through AlmostThereRescue.org/adopt/ To meet this pup, schedule an appointment by going to www.adoptapup.as.me and selecting Meet Our Pups! or Meet our Adult Dogs!

Story
We are heartbroken to have to rehome our dogs, Omega and Ranger, but due to serious family health issues, we are unable to give them the attention they deserve. Our parents health is a priority at the moment, and with our frequent and long trips out of town to care for them, we can no longer be there for Omega and Ranger as much as they need. Ranger is a 7-year-old Blue Heeler and Australian Shepherd mix who has been with our family for about 6 months. He was adopted after being left behind by his previous owner when he moved to college. Though we don't have proof of his neuter status or vaccination history, we have ensured he up-to-date on shots. Ranger enjoys relaxing on the couch next to you, but once he's outside, he's the perfect walking companion; calm, gentle, and always walking at your pace. He's great with other dogs, kids, and seniors. Ranger is also house- and crate-trained and loves playing fetch with a ball. He quiet and enjoys napping.

Story
Coco is a good dog about a year old with still some puppy energy in her. Wants to play in the mornings so a good walk does her well and some ball. Never had her off a leash outside of the back yard. Does well at staying on your right side when walking but still needs a little work. Commands. Leave it, sit, stay. Smart girl. Listens. Sleeps most of the day. Not so much of a cuddeler but loves to lay at feet and rest her head on your leg. Likes to sleep in several places starts in the bed, moves to a corner, and eventually settles to her crate. Crate is always open. She needs a good home with several people to interact with. Weighs about 45lbs. Will not pull you over on a leash and will listen, especially with treats. Wants to play and interact, and happy to lay in the same room as you and relax. Very trainable. Very smart. She will find her way around obstacles and does not know to jump over barriers. Not much of a barker, will let you know of a concern with few deep gruffs.
