Story
My name is Sue! I'm a lovely lady and I have a smile so bright you'll need sunglasses! I love both dogs and cats, so if you have any other pups in the home be sure to bring them to meet me! This is what my foster has to say about me: "Sue is the most gentle, loving one year old puppy. She loves humans and is fine with other dogs and cats, she loves to snuggle, run around, and chew her toys. She is very calm and even when left alone at home, she doesn't destroy anything in the house. Sue is also a quick learner and easily trained." Contact my foster to meet me at (480) 410-8943! Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. We register that microchip (FREE!) and provide a free health exam with each adoption. Please bring a leash and collar for your new pet or plan to purchase a set at the shelter for $5 each.

Gloria will make the best fur daughter for anyone wanting, a devoted, smart, loyal, goofy pup. She prefers females but will get use to men (they have to act like she not there). She very eager to please, good with dogs (but doesn’t understand how to play) don’t recommend cats. She has a love hate relationship with them (she truly loves them until they take off then she hates them) She is a girl withh 999 personalities but what I know for sure is.. She is house trained She is kennel trained She loves walks She loves her training She loves belly rubs She loves to cuddle She loves treats (very treat driven) I’m pretty sure she NEVER had any structure in her life and she thrives when she gets it. She is a 2 year old Collie mix, spayed, has all shots, and chipped. $150 adop fee

Story
Meet Cookie, a lovely tan and fluffy dog with an estimated age of 6-9 years. While her exact breed is uncertain, she may be a Collie mix. Cookie's journey to finding her forever home has been filled with challenges. She came from a hoarding situation after her owner passed away, but with love and care, she's made remarkable progress. When Cookie first arrived at her foster home, she was extremely shy and timid. However, with the support of her foster family, she has blossomed into a more confident and happy dog. Here are some key aspects of Cookie's personality and needs: House Trained: Cookie has learned to use the doggie door and is house trained, making her a great addition to any home. Overcoming Fears: Although Cookie was initially terrified of the outside world and people, she now enjoys walks on the trail. She's made significant progress and is more comfortable around people. Travel Companion: Cookie is tolerant of car rides and can use a ramp to get into the car, making her a great companion for outings or trips. Food Enthusiast: Cookie absolutely loves her food and treats. She gets excited when it's mealtime, making it easy to bond with her over treats and meals. Laid Back and Quiet: Cookie's personality is best described as laid back. She's a mature, elderly dog who would thrive in a quiet and peaceful home. What makes her even more unique is that she doesn't bark, which is a rare find in dogs. Ideal Home: Cookie would do exceptionally well in a calm and serene environment, especially with another mellow, older dog as a companion. Her gentle nature and lack of barking make her an excellent choice for those seeking a peaceful canine companion. If you're looking for a sweet, mature dog who has overcome adversity and is ready to enjoy her golden years in a loving home, Cookie might be the perfect fit for you. She's a true testament to the positive impact love and care can have on a dog's life. Adopting Cookie means providing her with a forever home filled with the warmth and comfort she deserves. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. If you live in the Prescott Az area please go to our website unitedanimalfriends.org and learn more about fostering!
