Story
We pulled little Jeffery from a high-kill shelter in CA with 44 minutes to spare, after he was found in a storm drain. This was the 3rd time he had ended up in the shelter. This time, his owners didn't want him back. Jeffery is the life of the party! Pony hopping up and down the yard, any chance he gets. He is a wildly intelligent dog. He is a big fan of other dogs, that are gentle with him. His energy is unlike anything we've ever felt. He's a very special boy. Someone described him as a "new soul" and that connected all the pieces, that's exactly what it feels like! He is almost completely deaf and has some vision impairment, more so affecting him at night. Jeffery has a smaller forebrain and cerebellum than most dogs, causing a slight wobble and unsteady gait. He's completely self-sufficient and can move and potty on his own. His disability doesn't get in his way whatsoever! As far as we know, Jeff was born like this. We have been working to implement touch training with him to better communicate and give him the structure and boundaries all dogs strive for! Interested in learning more about Jeffery? Story
Papa is an intelligent, happy, and easy to train one-year-old border collie mix pup. He enjoys long walks, fetch, dog park hangs, and swimming. Papa comes from a loving and caring home where he has been house-broken (he never has any accidents in the house!), kennel-trained, regularly socialized, and neutered. Unfortunately, the circumstances of my life have changed, and I have to find this good boy a new and loving home. Papa is a larger pup, weighing about 60lbs., that would best complement a couple or a family with an ample outdoor space who is active and familiar with dogs- because Papa is a "dog's dog!" - He is happy and very excited with kids. - Knows some commands like "sit," "paw," and "down." - LOVES TOYS! $150 adoption fee. Vaccines are up to date. Papa is also fixed already. Papa is a courtesy post for Valley Dogs Rescue and he is not in our direct care. Story
🌟 Meet Kydden, the bundle of energy with a heart full of love! 🐾 Affectionately known as Kiddin', this gorgeous six-year-old girl is on the lookout for her forever home, and she's got a personality as vibrant as her spirit. Kydden is a people enthusiast, spreading joy to everyone she meets. With her high energy levels, she's searching for an active family to keep up with her zest for life. While she's a love bug, her exuberance might be a bit much for tiny tots, so a home without small children is recommended. This spirited pup marches to the beat of her own drum and prefers to be the solo star in the canine show. Dog reactive but kitty-friendly, Kydden's looking for a forever home where she can shine without sharing the spotlight. Smarty pants alert! Kydden aced her obedience training, although the distractions from other pups didn't earn her valedictorian status. A strong pack leader is just what she needs to help her stay focused and on the right track. Kydden has battled anxiety, but with patience, love, and a dash of training, she's made incredible strides. She's been a trooper in boarding and kennel situations, proving she's ready for a loving home where she can truly flourish. While her stance on swimming is uncertain, she's been known to enjoy a refreshing dip in the doggie pool—a true tropical pup at heart! If you're ready for a lively companion who's equal parts fun and affection, Kydden is your girl. Email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to see if you're the perfect match for this wonderful, energetic sweetheart! 🐶💖

Story
Meet Yo-Yo.. aka Goat! He was 1 of the 8 dogs that was lucky enough to fly to the US from Costa Rica to get a new chance at life. Yo-Yo is left with neurological issues per the Costa Rica sanctuary that he came from. You can see this when he walks. His name fits his personality perfectly! He acts like a goat nibbling on everything. He is a goof ball who's extremely loveable. He does great with all the dogs he is with in his foster home and his great with the  kids in the home. He loves to snuggle blankets and his peanut butter kongs! We suggest a home with kids older than 8 because he can at times resource guard his bones and food.  Yo-Yo has incontinence so he does wear a belly band in his foster home. He does not usually have an issue and maybe has 2-3 small spots a day if the band is off.  We believe him to be a cattle dog mix who deserves a very special home of his own!  If you are interested in Yo-Yo, please fill out an application. A meet/greet and home check is required. His adoption fee is $250.May 22, 2024, 4:42 am
