Story
Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. First photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Windy. And that girl was actually a cattle dog. But female so still a girl. One day, Windy found herself in a very scary place... the shelter. :( She was so frightened that she would hardly come out of her kennel or walk on a leash, and tried to escape out the windowsill, earning her name. Luckily, Princess Windy had lots of friends at VCAS who were rooting for her. They found her a new castle where she could stay for a little bit to feel better - in a foster home on a ranch! At the ranch Windy met her subjects WE MEAN friends!! Goats, dogs, cats, chickens, horses... she even goes to work with her foster mom to a grooming salon every day. Basically, all of Ventura County became her kingdom! (Not really). ANYWAY, fast forward to today. Princess Windy is doing AMAZING at the ranch... but she can`t stay forever.
