Although she might be “ok” with cats, we think she’d be best as the only pet in the household. Many of you have followed Stardust's journey. She is deaf and partially blind, but those are simply details—they do not define her. She has adapted beautifully and navigates the world with incredible confidence. She learns quickly, maps out her surroundings in no time, and runs with such joy and freedom that you'd never guess she has any limitations. She's incredibly intelligent, eager to learn (especially when treats are involved!), and happiest when she's close to her people. Picture this... Watching the sunset on the porch? Stardust will be beside you, resting her head in your lap. Working from home? She'll be snoozing contentedly at your feet. Heading out for an adventure? She'll be ready. At the end of the day? Stardust is a petite girl, weighing just 41 pounds, and we estimate she's between 2 and 3 years old. Her perfect home is one where someone is home most of the time or has a lifestyle that allows their dog to be part of everyday life. Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. Last photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving. Total Romantic.
