Story
Dip is a neutered male young adult, approximately 17-18 months old. Dip was found emaciated along with his sister Dot in a ditch in Santa Paula at around 5/6 months, they were rescued by Blue Light Canine Foundation. Dog friendly, can be people shy but warms up quickly. I believe fast moving loud kids would spook him. He does have some chase drive with small prey animals. Dip is a high energy young Border Collie and needs an experienced home who can meet his needs. He would thrive in an active home and I think he would be a fun little sport dog if someone wanted to go in that direction with him. He loves to work and learn new things! He knows sit and down but is also learning stay, focus, leave it, place and loose leash walking, as well as some tricks for fun! Located in Camarillo, CA. Email me at kaylee_voneschen@yahoo.com if you have any questions about this sweet boy!

Story
Meet Mulligan aka "Mully". This sweet boy was found abandoned, living on a golf course for a month! No one ever came to reclaim him once caught. Mulligan was very shut down and was placed into foster to decompress. After months in foster and being placed in a training program, Mully is now ready for his forever home. He is timid by nature but learning to be a dog again. To watch him learn to trust and make such progress is so rewarding. Mully needs a hero. He needs someone willing to show him he can enjoy time with his person and trust in people, while they be patient and let him enjoy life in a home. He is a gentle giant, timid but wanting to be near. Mully must have a patient owner and a companion dog who will show him the ropes. He is great with dogs and cats. His new home must be safe as Mully still has a desire for flight (not fight) so a secured yard is a requirement. He is also house broken and crate trained.

Story
Chino is a good dog for the right home, but he has two flaws: he doesn't care to share an environment with any other dogs, and he can escape from almost any confinement. Since we like Border Collies in general, and since he was "overdue" at his animal shelter one day when we were there picking up another dog, he was also chosen and saved. We quickly learned that the part of Chino that is not Border Collie is probably one of the tundra breeds like Malamute, because we had to fully enclose every inch of his kennel to keep him in. (This was after he escaped from four previous attempts to kennel him.) The good news is that after escaping he only wanted to stay by the side of his human friends here at the rescue, so he'll need a pretty much constant human companion. Chino is about 3 years old and weighs about 80 pounds.

Breed: Border Collie X DOB: 2/2024 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: large Color(s): black / white Description:Hi, I'm Sadie, a remarkable and resilient young Border Collie mix with a heart as big as the challenges I've overcome. After being rescued with my nine newborn puppies, I faced health issues and injuries with unwavering courage. But now, I'm ready to leave my past behind and find a forever family to call my own. I am a gentle soul who craves love and attention. With a calm and friendly demeanor, I welcome all the pets, kisses, and treats life has to offer. My sweet and quiet nature will instantly capture your heart. Imagine leisurely walks together, where my easy-going temperament shines through, and cozy nights in, where my loving presence warms your soul.I'm a beautiful black and white pup who not only survived but thrived. I'm very quiet and keep a close watch on my person and house especially at night. I'm still learning to trust the resident cat in my foster home, but I'm getting better every day. I enjoy being brushed outside in the morning, doing a few zoomies to show my appreciation, then laying in the grass to sunbathe. I've never had an accident in the house and I'll even let you know when I have to go outside. I'm learning to walk on a leash and to not be so nervous around traffic and children riding bicycles/scooters. I understand 'NO', 'wait' and 'back'. I enjoy car rides especially when we go get burgers, but I'm still learning to get into the car. I take treats very nicely; I'm a very polite girl. I'm a bit nervous with strangers approach me, but do better if they let me approach them.My resilience and adaptability are a testament to my unwavering spirit. With ongoing care and medication, I am on the path to recovery and will continue to bring joy and devotion to those around me. I'm more than just a loving companion; I'm a symbol of strength and a reminder that second chances exist. If you're looking for a loyal and devoted friend to cherish and adore, consider opening your heart and home to extraordinary me. Could you be the loving and patient person I have been waiting for?
