Jasper is a smart, goofy, and loving 7-year-old border collie/husky mix (about 50 lbs) looking for a forever home. He’s active and enjoys hikes and walks, but is also happy lounging on the couch. Jasper is house-trained, well-behaved, and does great with bigger dogs out on walks—but he needs to be the only pet in the home. He’d do best in a home with adults or older children only. He’s deeply loyal, affectionate, and truly a special dog. I’m heartbroken to be rehoming him, but I’m moving out of the country and need to find someone just as special to give him the love and stability he deserves. Meet Mulligan aka "Mully". This sweet boy was found abandoned, living on a golf course for a month! No one ever came to reclaim him once caught. Mulligan was very shut down and was placed into foster to decompress. After months in foster and being placed in a training program, Mully is now ready for his forever home. He is timid by nature but learning to be a dog again. To watch him learn to trust and make such progress is so rewarding. Mully needs a hero. He needs someone willing to show him he can enjoy time with his person and trust in people, while they be patient and let him enjoy life in a home. He is a gentle giant, timid but wanting to be near. Mully must have a patient owner and a companion dog who will show him the ropes. He is great with dogs and cats. His new home must be safe as Mully still has a desire for flight (not fight) so a secured yard is a requirement. He is also house broken and crate trained.

Chino is a good dog for the right home, but he has two flaws: he doesn't care to share an environment with any other dogs, and he can escape from almost any confinement. Since we like Border Collies in general, and since he was "overdue" at his animal shelter one day when we were there picking up another dog, he was also chosen and saved. We quickly learned that the part of Chino that is not Border Collie is probably one of the tundra breeds like Malamute, because we had to fully enclose every inch of his kennel to keep him in. (This was after he escaped from four previous attempts to kennel him.) The good news is that after escaping he only wanted to stay by the side of his human friends here at the rescue, so he'll need a pretty much constant human companion. Chino is about 3 years old and weighs about 80 pounds.

Henry just barely turned two! He came from a litter of seven is the second to smallest. His nature is mellow compared to his brother Lenny that my son has and much more mellow than my daughters three year old, ( all the same breed) he loves people and he is a bit shy. He’s potty trained to go outside and he is simply amazing when you throw a ball or frisbee because he catches it in the air almost every time as well as chasing it into the ocean or pool. He’s potty trained is very naturally skilled. I’m very disappointed and I did not want to let him go but my job is taking me somewhere dogs aren’t allowed.
