He has some housetraining and also knows how to use a dog door. He has done okay on a leash and in a crate. He will need daily exercise but is not overly energetic. He is ready to get a forever home.

He enjoys treats, toys, and a good game of fetch, and he’s always eager to learn, making him a rewarding match for an active home that can offer structure, playtime, and continued guidance as he grows into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. This handsome boy is fully housebroken, comfortable in a crate, and settles well when left alone. He has learned not to destroy his toys, is improving with waiting at doors, and comes when called. Murray is highly intelligent and loves to learn—he even figured out how to let himself back inside by using a lever-style doorknob! Murray thrives on attention and affection. He loves to be part of whatever his family is doing. One of his favorite things is greeting his foster mom with morning snuggles. He responds well to treats, chews, toys, and calm, consistent routines. He navigates stairs with ease and has done well with grooming after overcoming his initial fear of the high-velocity dryer. Murray gets along well with other dogs and cats. He enjoys canine companionship but is still learning appropriate play manners and can be a bit exuberant at times. A family willing to provide supervision, structure, and continued guidance will help him continue making great progress. Because Murray can be sensitive to certain sights and sounds outside of the fence, he would do best in a quieter environment with minimal outside distractions. Lettie Alston A18755945 lb. spayed female, approx 3 years old -She may start off a little timid, but give her a few minutes and you’ll see her sweet personality start to shine. In the yard she cautiously and slowly explored and sniffed around while I sat on the ground and simply gave her time. After several minutes, she confidently walked over, tucked her head into my chest, and leaned right into my pets with a happy wagging tail. From that moment on, she was much more relaxed and content. -She loves attention and will wiggle around until she finds just the right spot to settle in for pets and belly rubs.-She’s treat motivated, shows off a nice “sit,” and takes snacks very gently.-She isn’t showing much interest in toys right now, but she has plenty of time to discover what she enjoys.-She walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling, if any.The change in her in just a short amount of time was huge! She really seems to blossom once she feels safe and realizes she’s in good hands.-She’s a sweet girl who may just need someone willing to give her a little time and let her come out of her shell. The corner traffic made her a little nervous but it didn’t last long before zoomies took over!-Inside she was still a little nervous and cautiously explored everything. It took her awhile to settle in and relax but when she did she enjoyed laying next to me for pets and belly rubs.-She is affectionate and gives kisses-She likes treats, sits and takes them nicely-She is not currently playing with toys-Energetic youngster-She still needs work on leash still. Max was a stray who had been wondering around a neighborhood since March 2026. Finally he decided he had enough and wandered right up to a lady's house and walked right in the door. He is friendly and has been staying with her friend who is fostering him. Max is a sweet, loving 1½-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) mix with a heart full of love and energy to share. He forms strong bonds with his favorite person and loves being by their side, whether he’s following them around the house or curling up next to them to relax. Max loves playing fetch, retrieving toys, going on walks, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Like many cattle dogs, he’s happiest when he has both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He walks fairly well on a leash, though he can pick up the pace when he’s excited. Max is well-mannered both indoors and outside. He’s still learning to be comfortable in a crate and will need some patience as he continues crate training. Car rides are also something he’s still getting used to. Max appears to get along well with other dogs, although he would benefit from slow introductions as his experience with them is still somewhat limited and unknown. He seems interested in cats and other small animals, but his herding instincts provokes him want to chase them. Because of this, Max would do best in a home without cats or small pets. Max is friendly with people and enjoys meeting new friends. He may take a little extra time to warm up to unfamiliar men, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate personality shines through. It is currently unknown how he does around young children. Max’s ideal home is with an active family or individual who can give him plenty of love, attention, daily exercise, and opportunities to play. A home with a large yard or acreage where he can safely explore would be a dream come true for him. With continued training, patience, and plenty of enrichment, Max is sure to become a loyal, devoted companion for years to come. If you’re looking for an affectionate, active best friend who’s always ready for an adventure and happiest by your side, Max may be the perfect match for you! Max weighs 48 pounds and his estimated birthdate is 7/23/25.
