MAGGIE-Pierce was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024.  Maggie-Pierce is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of 4 November 2023 and in April 2024 weighed of 20 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. This sweet girl is still a baby and so we are looking for families who understand how much work puppies are, who are able to ensure she gets all the socialization she needs, the training, routine and structure to give her the right start to her wonderful life ahead of her. Maggie-P is in a kennel with several other pups similar in age, some bigger, some smaller and she is having a great time playing and wrestling most of the day, when of course they are not snuggled up in a big puppy pile dreaming of their forever families and future lives full of adventure ahead of them. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel   and    photo albums on our Facebook page   t o see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Maggie-Pierce is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $550. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Meet Capri! Capri is a playful energetic and social 1 year old Collie/Terrier/Pit Bull mix! Capri loves to play outside with her four fur-foster siblings. She LOVES playtime, so furry companions who can keep up with her playful puppy nature are preferred! Other than that, Capri has been the perfect house guest! She's crate trained, house trained, and sleeps through the night, but is an excellent watchdog. She will bark to alert you if a person or another pup is approaching. Exercise is a must for this little lady! She is completely leash trained and loves going on walks with her foster family. As far as new friends go, Capri warms up quickly and absolutely loves to be pet endlessly. Capri would make an excellent companion for just about any family or household! She can't wait to meet you! Capri is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. Her adoption fee is $425. All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. Allegra!  What a beautiful sounding name!  And what does it mean? And why did her foster give her the name Allegra?  Because it describes this beautiful pup so well!  Joyful, Happy, Active!!!  Our Allegra is a Collie/Lab mix who wears her short black and white coat so well that people stop just to look at her!  Allegra is around 4 months old and, although she presently weighs between 20 and 25 pounds now, she’ll mature to between 50 and 60 pounds.  She gets along well with other dogs, kids, and her foster’s cat! Meet Zuko, the charming collie mix who has brought immeasurable joy to my life as a pandemic puppy. However, due to the demands of my new job, I sadly find myself unable to provide him with the life he truly deserves. At 4 and 55 lbs, Zuko is a handsome and affectionate companion. He was rescued from Texas and is already neutered and chipped. Zukos favorite pastimes include cuddling with his humans, gazing out the window, running at the beach, and going on hikes. If you want to witness pure joy, unleash Zuko at the beach and watch as he glances back at you with his tongue out in bewildered excitement before taking off. While he may not be the biggest fan of swimming or rain, he looks adorable in a raincoat and is always up for playtime in the snow. Zuko loves food. He's highly motivated by treats, especially frozen peanut butter. He gets along well with other dogs, but I am unsure about his compatibility with cats. He can be reactive, especially to strollers and e-scooters.

CHIP is adorable, smart, high energy, loving, affectionate, fun, goofy and did I mention high energy? He shares a kennel with two dogs that came from Oman and has been great in helping them adapt and has been teaching them how to play, wrestle and enjoy toys - something they had not experienced before. Chip is true to his breed in that he can be a little mouthy and he does like to let you know how he is feeling when you are not paying him the attention he deserves and thinks he needs lol. Chip needs an active family and one that understands the breed and that they are a herding breed, they can get nippy if they are not taught to not do that. She along with her 7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 ZAANA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 18 November 2021 and at the time of transport weighed around 30 pounds. The group believe that Zaana could be a Japanese Spitz mix, but we have no way of knowing for sure. ZAANA is the girl for you if you are looking for a gentle, sweet, super affectionate girl. She has settled in well after her long, scary trip from Oman and enjoys when I am in the kennels giving her lots of love and fuss. She will put her paw on my arm or shoulder so that I can scratch the spots she likes and I think it is also her way of wanting to connect. She is a beautiful girl who does have a medium length coat, so grooming is a consideration to be taken into account as if coats are not brushed, they can matt very easily which is not healthy and painful for the dogs. She is an active girl and will need a family that will take her on lots of adventures and give her the lifestyle that she needs and deserves to thrive. ZAANA can be dog selective and so she would be best in a home with no other dogs, so as to not cause any un-needed stress or concerns. Then over time she can get to meet other dogs and see who she likes to have as her friends so she can play and chase and have some doggy-fun.
