Story
I’m currently being showcased by the Humane Society of Morrow County in hopes of finding my forever home. My previous owner made the loving decision to surrender me so I could have the best life possible, and now I’m ready for my fresh start. I’m about 3 years old (born July 2023) and weigh around 75 pounds — just the right size for big hugs! Here’s a little about me: • 🐾 Spayed female • 💉 Current on DHLP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines • ❤️ Heartworm negative • 👧 Good with kids • 🐱 Curious about cats • 🏡 House trained I’m in the prime of my life and have so much love to give. Whether it’s long walks, cozy evenings, or just being your loyal companion, I’m ready to be your best friend. Could you be the one to give me the forever home I’ve been waiting for?

Story
FENCE REQUIRED Zane came into the world with dust on the wind and a restless spark in his bones, the kind of spirit that always sees the good in life. At nine months, he is all legs and motion, a tri-colored rough Collie with a coat that caught the light like the wide-open plains at sunrise. There is a little mischief in him, sure enough—something a little wild and untested—but that’s the way of young things meant for bigger horizons. He rides close to his people, not by saddle but by instinct, keeping watch with bright eyes and a heart that knew loyalty before it knew caution. When the trail bends long and the day wears thin, Zane is there, trotting ahead as if the land itself had whispered directions only he could hear. And when night settles in, he stays near, a quiet presence wrapped in fur and warmth, as steady as a campfire glow. Folks might say he is a little zany, and they wouldn’t be wrong. But beneath that restless energy is something finer—a dog ready to grow into his place, ready to carve his mark alongside the ones he trusts. Out on the range, where the world stretches wide and unforgiving, there’s no room for anything but truth. And Zane, for all his youth and foolish bursts of energy, is as true as they come. He isn't finished yet, but you can see it in the way he stands against the horizon, ears high, eyes forward. He is going to be something worth remembering. This is one special boy! If Zane strikes your fancy and you are ready to help him continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! Story
PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED JoJo is a beautiful, young gal of just 2 years old looking for a new beginning after losing her beloved owner. JoJo came in with her sister DeeDee and we have found they do not need to be adopted together. She loves to play with other dogs, but would need a bigger dog as her canine sibling due to her high energy and the bit of pushiness she possesses. If she does not have a sibling, she will need an adopter who is home more often. Being young and very active, she will require a family or human to match her energy. She absolutely loves to play and will make an excellent candidate for sports like agility, rally, etc. JoJo knows “leave it” like a pro but does need consistency with her obedience training and direction. She is very smart and wants to please her humans but sometimes that young brain has other ideas. Consistency will be key to her success. JoJo is gentle, affectionate, and full of love to give. She greets everyone with kind eyes and wagging tails, always eager for a kind word or a soft touch. While she will need a little patience and practice with their leash manners, her willingness to please shines through in everything she does. JoJo has so much heart and happiness to share. She is so ready to fill a home with warmth, loyalty and the quiet joy that only comes from being loved – and giving love back. If JoJo strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if JoJo is not your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. Story
FENCE REQUIRED I’m looking over a four-leaf clover that I overlooked before… and her name is Remi. Remi is a 7-year-old mahogany rough Collie with a gentle soul and wise eyes that seem to understand more than most. Somewhere along the way she was overlooked, just like that lucky clover in the song, but anyone who takes a moment to really see her will realize what a treasure she is. At seven years old, Remi has outgrown the chaos of puppyhood and settled into the kind of companion every home dreams about. She enjoys the simple things: a comfortable place to rest, a calm walk where she can take in the world, and a person to stay close to. Remi enjoys smaller dogs and would love to have a sister because she is not real fond of boys . Remi carries herself with the quiet grace that Collies are known for, loyal and thoughtful, always happiest when she is near the people she loves. Remi’s rich mahogany coat and soft collie expression make her beautiful on the outside, but it is her steady, affectionate nature that truly makes her special. She is the kind of dog who will quietly follow you from room to room, lay at your feet while you relax, and greet you each day like you’re the best part of her world. While she may have been overlooked before, Remi is someone’s four-leaf clover waiting to be found. The kind of gal who brings a little extra luck, love, and warmth into a home just by being there. If you have been searching for a loyal companion with a calm heart and a lifetime of love still to give, take a closer look at Remi. Sometimes the best things in life are the ones we almost missed. If Remi strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! Story
FENCE REQUIRED Jessie is a stunning Rough Collie with a touch of Border Collie that seems to deepen both her beauty and her brilliance. She carries herself with a quiet confidence, the kind that immediately puts you at ease, and her calm presence has a way of gently filling any room she is in. Loving and deeply affectionate, Jessie forms a natural bond with the people around her, often choosing to settle close by, content just to be near you. When she lifts her dusky, expressive face and looks into your eyes, there is a softness and sincerity that is impossible to resist—it is the kind of gaze that stays with you. Jessie is wonderfully well-mannered, walking gracefully on her leash and proudly carrying the skills she learned in obedience school. Her intelligence shines through in everything she does; she is eager, attentive, and genuinely happy to follow your lead. Jessie thrives on connection and has an open-hearted nature that makes her instantly welcoming to everyone she meets. To her, there are no strangers, only new friends waiting to be loved. Despite her steady and composed personality, thunderstorms are the one thing that can unsettle her, revealing a tender, vulnerable side that only makes her more endearing. In those moments, she looks to her people for reassurance, trusting and devoted as ever. Jessie is more than just a beautiful dog—she is a loyal companion, a gentle soul, and a constant, comforting presence that turns any house into a home. Jessie’s greatest love is the “her” tennis ball. Her devotion to fetching it is beyond reproach but she is not fixated or obsessed with the ball. so an active home would be ideal for this talented gal. She is fun, spunky, athletic and agile so an active home would be ideal for this talented gal.
