Story
Nova is a happy, snuggly, energetic 45lb 9 month old smooth haired collie who has never met a human she didn't like. Nova has fairly high energy that burns out pretty quickly and then is ready for a good nap. She loves her crate (with lots of blankets!) and is content to hang in there while we're busy around the house. Nova loves stuffed toys but likes to chew pieces off and swallow them. Nova would thrive in a home with a yard that she can explore. She'd do well with children to play with but her exposure has been limited to children that are elementary school age or older. Unsure how she would do with cats. Nova is house trained and crate trained. She's smart and knows basic commands. She is food possessive so we feed her in her crate. She is not a fan of riding in the car, but we got her a little travel bed and buckle her in and she's doing much better. . She'll come with her remaining months of flea/tick/heartworm meds, food, toys, blankets, car seat, snuffle mat.

Mork came in with Mindy where they were part of a large group of dogs that were abandoned in a poor area known for stray dogs. They survived because a few people in that area fed them, and 1 lady in particular tries to help as many as she can. We took them to get them off the street and give them a better life. These are sweet dogs that just need a chance to show you their personalities and their love. Rescued dogs like this make great pets because they are so grateful. Mork is a favorite here at the rescue. We think Mork is a Retriever, and Collie or Shepherd. He did well in the car and everyone at the Vet's office fell in love with him. He can be adopted alone or with Mindy. Pinto was one of 7 pups that came to us with their Mom, Paisley. They were very fearful and unsocialized. Over time we rehabilitated 3 of his siblings and they were adopted. Pinto is now showing signs of progress and for the right home, is ready. A loving and patient home is what he needs to overcome his remaining fears but he is loving and wants to be your good boy! Nacli was picked up off a job site in late August. Efforts were made to locate an owner, but with no microchip, identification, or anyone coming forward, it appears she had been abandoned. She has since been fully vetted — up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick medication, spayed, microchipped, and had DNA and health testing completed. Through that testing, we learned she is fully deaf and partially blind. Nacli is incredibly sweet and social. She does wonderfully with babies, children, and adults, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, chickens, and even goats. She has a gentle, adaptable nature and truly enjoys being part of the action. She is mostly kennel trained and will also come with several harnesses, including a clearly labeled “deaf and partially blind” harness and leash. Because of her deafness and partial vision loss, we are seeking a home experienced with deaf dogs or one committed to learning how to best support her unique needs. With patience and consistency, she will thrive. Nacli is located in Midlothian, TX, and we are willing to coordinate transport for the right home. Cherie is approximately 9-10 months old, weighs just shy of 50 lbs. and has a silky single coat that makes her a breeze to groom. She is friendly and gentle with all ages - adults & children, dog friendly, well-mannered in house, fully crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, enjoys car rides, and enjoys getting out with her people for new adventures whether it's a walk in the park or visiting a dog-friendly venue & meeting new people.
