Rugby is a sweet dog he is mostly kelpi not 100% if full bred or mixed. He was my mother’s companion for years till she passed away. He has been forced to come live with me and my family, however we have a newborn and I have too many trust issues to even attempt introducing. He is great with my 11 year old but has a bad history with small animals. Very sweet dog. He is house trained, he does bark and sound mean when he meets new people but it’s all just until he gets pets. I truly wish I could keep him but it’s just not something I am comfortable with. I can Negotiate the rehoming fee if I know he is going somewhere safe. He is 7-8 years old and I just want him to have a good time till he meets my mom again one day. Thanks!!

Frasier is a 3 year old 52 pound-Australian Kelpie/German Shepherd mix that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/25 as a stray. If you will open your heart and home to this sweet boy, you will be rewarded with love and loyalty. He comes when he’s called. He seeks affection. He stays close to his human. At one point he even nudged me with his nose! He doesn’t know the sit command, but we know how smart German Shepherds are. He has the potential to learn many commands. He is calm, gentle, loving, and well behaved. He walks very well on a leash. He did his business as soon as he got out in the yard. This time around he would like to get outside to romp and play, but then come back in to chill with his family.

We are relocating and are reluctantly unable to bring our cherished pup with us. He loves walks, chasing soccer balls, and playing fetch (although he may not bring it back LOL) Ozzy can best be described as laid back - "I like to sleep most of the morning and early afternoon." Nacli was picked up off a job site in late August. Efforts were made to locate an owner, but with no microchip, identification, or anyone coming forward, it appears she had been abandoned. She has since been fully vetted — up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick medication, spayed, microchipped, and had DNA and health testing completed. Through that testing, we learned she is fully deaf and partially blind. Nacli is incredibly sweet and social. She does wonderfully with babies, children, and adults, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, chickens, and even goats. She has a gentle, adaptable nature and truly enjoys being part of the action. She is mostly kennel trained and will also come with several harnesses, including a clearly labeled “deaf and partially blind” harness and leash. Because of her deafness and partial vision loss, we are seeking a home experienced with deaf dogs or one committed to learning how to best support her unique needs. With patience and consistency, she will thrive. Nacli is located in Midlothian, TX, and we are willing to coordinate transport for the right home.
