Story
This handsome boy is Reno, an Australian Kelpie mix that was brought in as a stray to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/12. He weighs 36 pounds and is about 2 years old. Reno appears to have been nicely cared for. He knows the sit and paw commands (in fact he will give you both left and right paws). He is very sociable, friendly, affectionate, wants to climb into your lap and will give kisses. He is a charming, gentle, sweet, well-behaved boy who would doubtless make someone a wonderful companion. He does walk well on a leash. He played with several toys and balls in our meet and greet room. Reno is also quite the curious boy. In the yard, he had his nose to the ground and covered pretty much the entire area. He loves treats and takes them quite politely. He sincerely hopes that his stay at the shelter will be a short one and that a new person or family with step forward and adopt or foster and stay committed to him. Reno is a delightfully sweet, loveable and charming boy. He deserves to live as an inside dog spending time with his loving family.

Story
Riley is eight months old and 25 pounds. She is exceptionally playful and enjoys the company of children. She has a fondness for walks, frozen carrots, chasing bubbles, and swimming. While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Furthermore, she will sit beside you while you are doing homework or even watch television with you. Playing fetch is also one of her favorite activities! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Riley III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet Lacy! She’s a two year old Aussie mix who is a small girl at just 25-ish pounds. Shes great with other dogs and children. She hasn’t met a cat yet, but we think she would be just fine given her calm nature. Lacy is heartworm positive but her treatment is included as part of her adoption fee. She’s already started her pre-treatment medication for this. Lacy is calm, sweet and a little shy, but she warms up quickly! Shes already housebroken and crate trained! Interested in Lacy? Apply at : https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2671784. https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. ##2671784##

Story
Quill was one of 7 pups born to a stray mother on a rural ranch on Valentine's day of 2024. This friendly fellow was the only tan dog in the litter. He is one of 4 boys and 5 remaining pups left looking for homes. Quill is good with kids (has been around older ones, but would likely do okay with small ones) and has been around other dogs of both genders without issue. He is learning to walk on a leash, but mainly stays close to the ranch shop without issue. He crates okay when needed and will stay well in a secure fence. Quill has a fairly laid back personality. He enjoys treats and playing with his siblings. Got a home for this handsome boy?

Queenie is one of 7 pups born to a stray mother dog who was dumped on a rural ranch. Born on Valentine's day in 2024, this sweet girl is the only female left looking for a home from this litter. She is friendly and enjoys playing with her siblings and the other dogs on the ranch. She has been around older kids, but is pretty gentle and would likely do okay with younger ones. She is walks fair on a slip lead harness, but stays close to the ranch shop and will come when called most of the time when called. She crates okay and will stay well in a secure fence when needed. Story
Nacli was picked up off a job site in late August. Efforts were made to locate an owner, but with no microchip, identification, or anyone coming forward, it appears she had been abandoned. She has since been fully vetted — up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick medication, spayed, microchipped, and had DNA and health testing completed. Through that testing, we learned she is fully deaf and partially blind. Nacli is incredibly sweet and social. She does wonderfully with babies, children, and adults, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, chickens, and even goats. She has a gentle, adaptable nature and truly enjoys being part of the action. She is mostly kennel trained and will also come with several harnesses, including a clearly labeled “deaf and partially blind” harness and leash. Because of her deafness and partial vision loss, we are seeking a home experienced with deaf dogs or one committed to learning how to best support her unique needs. With patience and consistency, she will thrive. Nacli is located in Midlothian, TX, and we are willing to coordinate transport for the right home. If you have questions about Nacli or would like to learn more, please reach out. She deserves a safe, patient, and loving family where she can truly shine. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer transportation services and have happy families as references. We value transparency, so don’t be afraid to ask us anything.
