Although I can be a bit skittish around men when we first meet, I quickly warm up and become playful once I feel comfortable.I have excellent house manners, which means I know how to behave well inside. At night, I love to sleep at the foot of my fosters's bed, keeping them company and providing them with warmth and comfort.Sometimes, when my foster leaves, I may scratch at the door. However, with a bit of training and adjustment, this behavior will improve over time. Stella was adopted at 6mo from the Mesquite animal shelter. She is now 5 and been a loved member of our family. She is wonderful with our boys and a sweet dog. She has a lot of energy and we are unable to care for her like she deserves. We have had some circumstances happen beyond our control and we have no option but to re-home our sweet girl. She would make a wonderful addition to someone’s family.

Nutmeg is approximately 4 years old and is a red heeler mix. He is always happy and gets along with other dogs and currently lives in a household with a cat. He is moderately playful and willing to follow other dogs leads. Because of his herding instinct he does nip at strangers that come on his turf. We aren't sure how he is with small children but believe he will do well with older ones. Nutmeg is  housetrained, neutered and current on his vaccines. He doesn't like being in a crate so is loose in the house or outside. We feel he would be fine in a one dog family providing his human(s) has the desire and plenty of time to spend with him. A home visit is part of his adoption process so he is available for adoption in the immediate DFW area only. Ruby is a wonderul dog with the perfect amount of energy! She does great on walks and loves to play fetch outside, but also enjoys laying in her bed and getting lots of belly rubs! Ruby has done great around other dogs and exrtemely well in her foster home! She also is great with cats and leaves them be! She is potty trained and only barks when a stranger approcaes the home. She is always excited to see her foster parents and recive scratches. She can be a little shy at first but when she warms up she is incredibly loyal and loves you with everything she has!
