Sweet Cherie Miel wants to be your sweetie! She will brighten any home with her joie de vivre. Cherie is approximately 9-10 months old, weighs just shy of 50 lbs. and has a silky single coat that makes her a breeze to groom. She is friendly and gentle with all ages - adults & children, dog friendly, well-mannered in house, fully crate trained, housebroken, leash trained, enjoys car rides, and enjoys getting out with her people for new adventures whether it's a walk in the park or visiting a dog-friendly venue & meeting new people. She, however, does show slight prey interest towards cats so currently is not recommended for a cat-friendly home. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Story
Pebbles is an active, affectionate, and endlessly sweet girl with a curious spirit and a gentle heart. She’s more of a follower than a leader, happy to watch from the sidelines before joining in once she knows the fun is safe. When playtime is over, she’s all about cuddles and loves soaking up attention from her people. She enjoys having a canine playmate to follow on adventures and would thrive in a home where she can be someone’s loyal sidekick while still getting plenty of snuggles. Story
Henry came to us as a young pup and was diagnosed with Megaesophagus. You can see by looking at him that it does not slow him down. The absolute only thing different between him and any other dog is that he has to eat on two feet. Everything else is normal. Eating on 4 feet is not an option for him. However, he can drink and have treats on 4. He is crate, house trained, and doggie door trained. He gets along well with all size of dogs as he has several foster siblings. He is very loving and affectionate and believe it or not is sensitive. When researching this condition, ask questions as not all cases are the same. His foster has had two different ME dogs and both are very different. He needs that special person who will look after him and make sure he stays and healthy and happy as he is now. He would love to have a playmate too.

Story
Gordy is a fluffy cookie monster, trapped in the body of a Border Collie. He doesn't know how to herd livestock or chase balls. He'd rather sit pretty for treats than run after sheep.Gordy is as handsome as they come! His right ear always stands at attention, while his left cocks to the side and a smile is stretched across his face. He loves to play tag in the yard with other dogs and tries to beat the neighboring dog to the end of the fence line. Gordy may be a little slow when feeling at ease in new situations or with new people, but once he knows you're a good person, he'll think you're the bee's knees and want to be friends!Would you like to wake up to Gordy's smile every morning? Then contact OHAR to learn more about how to meet him!History: Gordy was turned into the Mesquite Animal shelter when found as a stray. Gordy is a happy, playful guy who is eager to please. He is crate trained graduated from obedience training where he was a star pupil.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Rugby is a sweet dog he is mostly kelpi not 100% if full bred or mixed. He was my mother’s companion for years till she passed away. He has been forced to come live with me and my family, however we have a newborn and I have too many trust issues to even attempt introducing. He is great with my 11 year old but has a bad history with small animals. Very sweet dog. He is house trained, he does bark and sound mean when he meets new people but it’s all just until he gets pets. I truly wish I could keep him but it’s just not something I am comfortable with. I can Negotiate the rehoming fee if I know he is going somewhere safe. He is 7-8 years old and I just want him to have a good time till he meets my mom again one day. Thanks!!

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Nacli was picked up off a job site in late August. Efforts were made to locate an owner, but with no microchip, identification, or anyone coming forward, it appears she had been abandoned. She has since been fully vetted — up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention and flea/tick medication, spayed, microchipped, and had DNA and health testing completed. Through that testing, we learned she is fully deaf and partially blind. Nacli is incredibly sweet and social. She does wonderfully with babies, children, and adults, and she gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, chickens, and even goats. She has a gentle, adaptable nature and truly enjoys being part of the action. She is mostly kennel trained and will also come with several harnesses, including a clearly labeled “deaf and partially blind” harness and leash. Because of her deafness and partial vision loss, we are seeking a home experienced with deaf dogs or one committed to learning how to best support her unique needs. With patience and consistency, she will thrive. Nacli is located in Midlothian, TX, and we are willing to coordinate transport for the right home. If you have questions about Nacli or would like to learn more, please reach out. She deserves a safe, patient, and loving family where she can truly shine. If you’re ready for a meet and greet, kick off the process with an application at www.flyingbrescue.org/adopt. Our application is thorough but there are no right or wrong answers - we just want to make sure you and the pet are the perfect match. Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview. Our adoptions include a 2-week trial period with fully refundable adoption fees during that period. Story
The Freshpet Four are proof that good things can come from unexpected places. This adorable crew was abandoned at our local Freshpet kitchen—fortunately, the folks at Freshpet don't just make dog food, they love dogs too. Thanks to caring people and a little teamwork, these four pups are now safe with Flying B and named after some of the wonderful partners who help us save lives. While we don't know who their parents are, we suspect they may be Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mixes. What we do know is they're full of puppy energy, curiosity, and joy. Their personalities are already emerging: • Slade is convinced he's in charge of everything. • Searsy (think Game of Thrones strategist, but much nicer) prefers to sit back, observe, and plot her next move. • Naula is the mischievous troublemaker of the bunch. • Laurence is the social butterfly who wants to be everyone's best friend. These tumbleweeds of fun are expected to grow into medium-to-large dogs, around 50 pounds when fully grown. They will be ready to join their forever families after completing their first two rounds of puppy vaccinations, with adoptions beginning June 21. If you're looking for a loyal companion, a hiking buddy, a couch cuddler, or all three, one of the Freshpet Four may be the perfect fit. Ready for a meet and greet?
