Story
The first thing you notice about Littleman? Just how handsome he is! Littleman has no ego about it though-he's content to be part of the pack in his foster home and would never be a snob about his gorgeous coat and his beautiful face. The second thing? Littleman doesn't walk! Why not, you may ask. Well, it seems that his brain didn't fully develop, so the mechanics of walking never made those connections. Is he happy? Absolutely! He can flip himself over, observe the goings on of his foster home and wiggle himself into the best sun spots in the yard. Is he in pain? Absolutely not! Bathroom breaks are a little different-Littleman can go on his own but he doesn't always ask to go outside. So it does take a little clean up in his space. He sure doesn't need walks! Littleman can be a wary of new people and handling since they need to learn his routine. You may be surprised just how easy it is to care for him! If you're interested in learning more about caring for a differently abled dog, we'd love to connect you with his foster!

Story
Meet 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶, another brave sweetheart who arrived with a severe wound. Sadly, we’ve seen quite a few lately, but thanks to excellent medical care, his large back wound has fully healed! Now he's patiently waiting for his lovely chocolate coat to grow back over his battle scars. 🩺🤎 Named after the delicious rice cake, Mochi is built just like his namesake—squishy, 100% soft, warm and sweet! 🧸 At 1 year and 2 months old, this handsome mixed-breed boy has a sweet, friendly personality that will brighten up your day. He’s made a great impression with the volunteers—even when he was wearing the "cone of shame". Mochi appears to be potty trained and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. Last Saturday, he joined a group hike with several other shelter pups and had a blast, showing off his polite manners! His volunteer driver reported that he was a 10/10 excellent passenger in the car. 🌲🚗 Mochi charms everyone who spends time with him but now he’s ready to find a forever loving home. Stop by the shelter, say hi to our sweet chocolate cake-shaped boy, and see if he steals your heart! 🏃‍♂️💨

Story
Maya’s foster notes Demeanor She is wonderfully sweet with a bit of playful puppy. She listens well in general. She is sweet and just wants to be petted. She is not really mouthy at all. An occasional lick almost never any bites or nips. She plays well with my Large German Shepherd, knowing her boundaries. Crate training While the crate is not her favorite place, she still does amazing. She currently sleeps throughout the night in her crate and has not had an accident in the crate.  She goes out to potty around 9:30 PM and then gets up around 7:30 AM. She may whine a bit for about 5 to 10 minutes before she’ll settle down quietly even during the day. Potty training She’s on a pretty regular schedule being let out to potty every three through four hours currently. She has no current inside accidents, but is kept to a small area and is constantly observed went out of her crate. She has not yet alerted to go out on her own. But will potty almost immediately every time she’s taken out as long as you walk on the grass with her. On the first day I got her she had if you submissive peeing accidents. After the first day, she’s relaxed in the home and has not had one since. Training She is extremely food motivated. She’s also generally a really good dog and wants to listen. She will occasionally find a non-toy item and try to play with it but simply told to Drop she’ll let it go. She will sit on command. We’re working lying down. And she’s starting to fetch. We are using the word “free” to be allowed out of her crate. She is doing well with that. She will come running when called.

Story
Nala is a beautiful girl with a sturdy, athletic build and a short, smooth coat in a warm fawn tone, accented by a striking black mask and soulful, expressive eyes. Her look is just as striking as her personality. She enjoys spending time with other dogs and does well in playgroup settings. Nala can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she just needs a moment to get comfortable. You’ll know she’s ready when her tail starts wagging and she comes over to say hello on her own terms. As she settles in, Nala’s fun, youthful personality begins to shine. She can show some playful, puppy-like behaviors and enjoys engaging with her surroundings, bringing a nice balance of sweetness and energy to her days. She also walks well on leash, making her a great companion for daily outings. Nala would love a home that gives her a little time to adjust and then enjoys her playful side as it comes out.
