We had to downsize our home and are not able to keep her anymore. We picked her up from the Humane Society in 2019. She stays outside because of her shedding although she does seem to be house broken (when we kept her in during cold weather). She has quite a bit of energy, although she is around 7 years old and mellowing a little with time. She is great with kids and, after she gets to know other dogs, very good with them, although she likes to be in charge.

She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all. All of her littermates died, but thanks to Dogtown, Lucy has survived. She is super gentle and a very calm dog for a little puppy.
