Story
We are looking for a home for my mother's dog, Gracie, after my mother was placed in an assisted living facility. My wife and I took in Gracie, but she deserves much more than we can provide. Gracie is very loving 7 year old Corgie mix, 28 lbs., enjoys playing and walking, and wants nothing more out of life than to make her family happy and be loved. She would enjoy being with a family who will lavish love and snuggles on her. She is excited when meeting new dogs or cats, but she is very good at minding "leave it". She is perfect during the day while we are away at work; no issues with separation anxiety or house training, and she very seldom barks. Gracie enjoys being pet, and absolutely lights up when it is time for a walk or a car ride. Gracie is looking for a calm home where she can be your shadow and soak up all the affection you have to give. Gracie is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. We have all of her health records.

Story
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Mix Age: Senior Male, neutered 20 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Llew was picked up by animal control off the streets of Hayward. He was unable to use his back legs. Otherwise he seemed in fairly good shape. He must not have been on the streets for long. It is suspected that he had a back problem (IVDD) that was never treated. He has responded well to anti-inflammatory and pain medications. He has gained some use of his back legs (he can stand and walk a few steps). He has been in physical therapy for a few months. UPDATE: With diligent persistence from his foster home, Llew is walking again on his back legs. He is a little wobbly, but he is using his back legs all the time - no more dragging. For all he has been through, he has an excellent demeanor - very friendly, very loving. He can come off as a little “pushy” to some dogs, but overall he gets along well with all the dogs in his foster home. He needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time. He would prefer a home with another friendly dog. Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs is willing to assist with his vet costs, if needed. Even though he has regained the ability to walk with his hind legs, the jury is still out on whether he has control of his bladder and bowels. He appears to pee when he goes outside, but he doesn't stop and pee. Similarly, he doesn't stop and poop - it just comes out when it is ready. Story
Who can resist a handsome, charming little dog like Scotty! This boi is a mix of who-knows-what! He has the massive corgi ears, so maybe he's that. He has cattle dog freckling on his legs. He has the curly swirly fur all over, so maybe there's some poodle in there. He's got wispy ears so maybe there is Papillion in his lineage. We don't know, but we do know this is one magical little dog! Scotty is looking for a home that will keep him busy! He loves walking, whether in the city, the SF Peninsula, or even the coast of Mendocino. He loves going on errands with his foster dog. Home Depot, the local brewery, the oil change shop...he will join you if you ask him. Scotty is best suited as an only dog. He does get along with other dogs, but it requires a proper introduction. Scotty hangs with 4 other dogs on his walks.  Scotty has been around cats and while mostly ok, there are days he chooses to chase them. So most likely not a fit for a home with cats. Scotty is mostly quiet in the home; however, he is still barky enough that he’s not ideal for apartment living.  Scotty is about 2 years old and 10 pounds. He is housetrained but you will need to make sure if he joins your home that you take him out on regular intervals. He also is ok wearing a belly band if it is needed. Scotty is a Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. To recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation foeach adoption. The suggested donation for Scotty is $300. If you are interested in adopting Scotty   , please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.
