Tuna did exactly that.   Our intake coordinator was on a shelter run and met this sweet boy and fell instantly in love. Why? Because this sweet little Corgi-Terrier mix greeted her with the gentlest kisses, as if he knew someone had come to help him. That same kind, grateful spirit continues to shine through every day.   At 5-6 years old and 14 pounds, Tuna is the perfect combination of mellow companion, walking buddy, and devoted sidekick.   A Day in the Life of Tuna   Tuna starts his mornings around 7 AM and enjoys a walk shortly afterward. Once he's had a chance to stretch his legs and sniff the neighborhood news, he's happy to settle in for some well-earned relaxation.   If you work from home, Tuna is an excellent coworker. He spends much of the day quietly lounging nearby, snoozing on a cozy bed or keeping watch from the couch. When his person is away, he calmly rests at home and has proven himself to be quite content waiting for their return.   Another walk in the evening is one of his favorite parts of the day, and after dinner, Tuna is ready to curl up and call it a night surprisingly early. By 7 or 8 PM, he's usually off duty and dreaming about tomorrow's adventures.     Sweet, Smart, and Deeply Loyal   Once he trusts you (and he bonds quickly!), Tuna becomes a devoted little shadow who loves being near his people. He follows his foster around the house, checks in regularly, and likes knowing where his humans are. He's happy to simply be nearby while you go about your day.   He's also remarkably smart. Tuna quickly learns routines, understands commands like 'stay,' 'stop,' and 'let's go,' and picks up new expectations with ease. His foster describes him as incredibly understanding and eager to learn.   Couch Potato Meets Adventure Buddy   Tuna has mastered the art of balance.   Most of the day, he's perfectly content lounging on the couch, napping on a soft comforter, or relaxing in his favorite cozy spot. If there were an Olympic event for professional lounging, Tuna would be a strong contender.   But don't mistake his relaxed nature for laziness.   When it's time for a walk, hike, or adventure, Tuna is all in. He's happily completed two-mile trail outings and loves exploring alongside his people. He enjoys games, learning new things, and getting out to see the world.   House Manners? Excellent.   Tuna comes with an impressive list of good habits.   He's house-trained, familiar with potty pads, and has lovely manners around the home. He'll wait outside a room when asked to stay and doesn't jump onto beds unless invited. He does well with a playpen and understands household routines.   He's not destructive, doesn't chew when bored, and generally prefers spending his time relaxing rather than looking for trouble.   His one mischievous hobby? Digging.   Whether it's the backyard or a patch of dirt during a walk, Tuna loves stopping to investigate the ground. Apparently, he's convinced there's buried treasure somewhere, and he's determined to find it.   Why You'll Love Tuna   Tuna is the kind of dog who sneaks into your heart before you realize it.   He's gentle, affectionate, smart, well-mannered, and wonderfully balanced. He can spend an afternoon snoozing beside you and still happily join you for an evening adventure. He asks for very little beyond a comfortable spot to nap, a few walks, and the company of the people he loves.   And if his shelter rescuer was right—and we think she was—those sweet thank-you kisses are just the beginning.   Tuna is ready to find the family he's been waiting for. All he needs now is someone willing to say yes.June 3, 2026, 11:48 am

Coru is an amazing girl. To say the least, she is a survivor with the biggest heart. She is gentle and loving. Poor girl has been through a tough life. However, it doesn’t stop her from loving and trusting humans. Coru is now in a foster home with other dogs and is good with big and small dogs. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Coru started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate trained and doing well on her house training. She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. Coru is a wonderful girl and deserves a loving forever home. Coru’s Rescue Story Coru was rescued from a poorly run private shelter. The shelter has over 2,000 dogs living in cramped and wet environment. Coru along with her other friends were used as breeding dogs. After they were done with her, poor Coru was sent to a private shelter where she lived in a cage and never let out. A kind international rescue organization got a rescue message from a volunteer. The founder has over 160 dogs waiting for homes and didn’t have space for another dog. However, when she saw photos of the dogs suffering. She knew it was urgent to rescue them. The rescue took home 19 dogs and promised to find them forever loving homes. Story
Possum is the quiet guardian with the softest soul. He doesn’t rush, doesn’t worry, and doesn’t do drama. He calmly strolls around, checking in on everyone like he’s making sure the world is still kind. Life wasn’t always good for him but he’s incredibly gentle and as sweet as they come. If you’re lucky, he will gently kiss you on the tip of your nose once he gets to know you. Possum is looking for a loving home where he will be the center of attention and have a place in your heart. He is a wonderful, sweet dog who deserves so much love. The best possible home for Possum will be a quiet home where he and his humans can keep each other company in his golden years. Medical / Special Needs: Possum is an old man with some arthritis in his joints. He’s got some aches and pains in his body from years of neglect, so he prefers not to be picked up.

Story
Despite the darkness she came from, Charlotte, a Dachshund-Corgi mix, is one of the sweetest, most gentle souls you could ever meet. Charlotte has stolen our hearts. Despite her blindness, this hasn’t taken away her trust or her love for people — she simply leans in closer to feel it. What Charlotte wants most now is simple: a soft couch, warm belly rubs, and someone to cuddle beside while being showered with affection. She is a very special little girl who will fill a quiet home with extraordinary love. 🐾 Medical / Special Needs: Charlotte is blind, but once she maps your place, she’ll be good to go.
