Story
Casper was timid and nervous at the shelter but warmed up. He had fox tail removed and vet double checked to make sure he was clear of any fox tails. He is now very sweet and friendly. He can now be handled but a little nervous of fast movement to his head/face. Now relaxing at our foster home with 2 sweet small dogs and will get TLC. He needs time to heal from his neuter surgery. Shelter evaluation advise kids 10 years and up. More info. to come from his foster home to see more of his personality. Update 10/18/25 from his foster home. Casper is a gentle sweetie and perfect gem. He is great with her small dogs and plays. House-trained. Loves his walks leash trained welll behaved and chewing on carrots. Affectionate and adorable. Casper plays gently with other dogs but doesn’t get the zoomies. He doesn’t wrestle during play with the other dogs like my two do. I don’t know how he is with cats. He is a bit mouthy wanting to have my hand in his mouth and we are training him to stop doing this. He isn’t rough at all and loves to snuggle. He uses the dog door now and has gained a lot of confidence. He will pick up a dog toy now which he wasn’t interested in before. He likes to chew on sticks and carrots . He did bark at the crow taunting him and his bark isn’t sharp or very loud. Remy loved going out on his adventure hikes and great with all dogs that he met. He did great at our busy Halloween Dog Costume event. Played with a few dogs there.November 3, 2025, 12:22 am

Story
Rozzy is a playful, energetic, and affectionate dog who loves cuddling, full body pets, and learning new things. She follows commands well in a controlled environment and she doesn't resource guard, beg for food or try to escape from her home. She is not destructive, aggressive, or fearful, but she does have some issues with anxiety, reactivity, and attention seeking behaviors. She's smart and highly motivated by treats, praise, and affection, so she is very receptive to training, as long as her primary caregiver is dedicated to putting in the work and sticking to it. She needs work with the following: Leash, fence and car reactivity; touch sensitive towards being picked up, held, moved, bathed, and groomed; barks, whines, stares, follows you around and repeatedly brings you toys for attention. She will do best with someone who can give her a lot of attention, and has the patience and experience to provide the structure and discipline she needs to thrive.

The Sweetest Treat of the Season!  No tricks here, just one of the sweetest little Halloween miracles you’ll ever meet! 4 year old Candy Corn came from a hauntingly crowded home of 75 dogs, where she had never known comfort, kindness, or the warmth of a cozy couch. When she first arrived, she was scared stiff... literally. For the first couple of days, she was too frightened to move and would even pee herself from fear. But little by little, her brave spirit began to shine through. By day four, she dared to explore her room, one tiny paw-step at a time and by day five, she was proudly doing her business outside like a champ! Her confidence has been bubbling up like a potion ever since. Though she still shakes when she’s unsure and prefers quiet corners when other dogs try to greet her, she’s learning that the world isn’t so spooky after all. Just a few nights ago, something magical happened. Candy Corn did her very first zoomies! She zipped around the living room like a little caramel comet, tail wagging, eyes sparkling, and heart full of joy. She even curled up afterward to watch TV, falling asleep on her foster’s shoulder like the sweetest Halloween candy in the bag. Candy Corn isn’t much for toys or rowdy playmates just yet, she’s a snuggly couch potato at heart. She’s perfectly content just being near her favorite human, soaking up soft voices, baby talk, and gentle love. She walks in funny little circles on the leash and still needs encouragement to face the big, wide world, but her progress has been pure magic. She’s housetrained, crate-trained, and oh so loyal once she trusts you. What Candy Corn wants most is a patient, loving human who can help her keep blossoming, someone who’ll let her tag along, whisper sweet nothings, and share the simple joys of a quiet, cozy life together. If you’re looking for a little Halloween sweetheart to melt your heart and sweeten your days, Candy Corn is your perfect treat. We will be looking for a home that has a confident dog to help show Candy Corn that humans aren't so spooky.November 6, 2025, 1:40 am

🐾 Meet Latte! 🐾 [BASIC INFO] ❤ Age: 8 months (Born in 2025) ❤ Gender: Female ❤ Weight: 10 kg (22 lbs) ❤ Breed: Corgi jindo mix ❤ Health: Fully vaccinated (5 rounds completed) [PERSONALITY] 💖 People-friendly – loves humans regardless of gender, affectionate and sweet 💖 Kid-neutral – not much interest in children 💖 Dog-friendly – greets other dogs happily but quickly refocuses on her person 💖 Cat-friendly – shows little to no interest in cats 💖 Balanced energy – active but easy to manage (6–7/10) [TRAINING & HABITS] ✅ Potty trained – prefers outdoor potty during walks, uses indoor pads accurately if needed ✅ Leash skills – enjoys walks, slight pulling but controllable ✅ Minimal barking – gets briefly excited when seeing dogs, but calms quickly ✅ Grooming – accepts baths, brushing, ear cleaning, tooth brushing well (nail clipping still needs practice) ✅ No escape tendencies – waits for her human before going outside ✅ Low destructiveness – may chew tissues or bags if under-exercised, but not after enough walks --- [RESCUE STORY] Latte’s journey hasn’t been easy. She entered a city shelter with her littermate at just 2 months old. Soon after, she was adopted, but tragically returned simply because she shed fur. Back at the shelter, Latte was placed on the euthanasia list despite her tender age. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time and given another chance at life. Now, safe in foster care, Latte is blossoming into a gentle, affectionate young dog who loves people and is eager to please. She’s ready to leave her past behind and find a forever family who will love her for who she is. 💖 Could Latte be your happy ending? Open your heart and home to her – she’s waiting to love you back endlessly.

Story
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Mix Age: Senior Male, neutered 20 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Llew was picked up by animal control off the streets of Hayward. He was unable to use his back legs. Otherwise he seemed in fairly good shape. He must not have been on the streets for long. It is suspected that he had a back problem (IVDD) that was never treated. He has responded well to anti-inflammatory and pain medications. He has gained some use of his back legs (he can stand and walk a few steps). He has been in physical therapy for a few months. UPDATE: With diligent persistence from his foster home, Llew is walking again on his back legs. He is a little wobbly, but he is using his back legs all the time - no more dragging. For all he has been through, he has an excellent demeanor - very friendly, very loving. He can come off as a little “pushy” to some dogs, but overall he gets along well with all the dogs in his foster home. He needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time. He would prefer a home with another friendly dog. Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs is willing to assist with his vet costs, if needed. Even though he has regained the ability to walk with his hind legs, the jury is still out on whether he has control of his bladder and bowels. He appears to pee when he goes outside, but he doesn't stop and pee. Similarly, he doesn't stop and poop - it just comes out when it is ready. For more information about Llew, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com
