Story
0425072 - Gingerbread aka Ginger is a sweet, gorgeous, little cowboy corgi (corgi/heeler mix) mama from the Four Corners area, ready for her forever home! We are guessing Ginger is about 2 years old and she weighs approximately 30lbs. Ginger LOVES being outside and has NEVER had an accident inside, even while nursing her litter of 8! Ginger is *very* smart and will be easily trainable. She gets along with other dogs (submissive) and cats too! She loves cuddles in the mornings, toys, treats, and just chilling on her comfy bed or outside in the back yard.  Ginger has some amazing agility skills and is a wanderlust. This is likely how she survived, roaming to find food, so she would do best with a family that has at least a 6 foot fence or has other ways to keep her secure. Ginger has been working on leash manners but will need more practice in this area, once she has her furever home. Further, Ginger does struggle to know a couch vs a table but she has been working hard to learn the difference and is able to easily be redirected.  Ginger has the cutest lovable face and remarkable ears you’ve ever seen! This pretty foxy lady does shed, especially on her fluffy rear, so her furever home will have to plan for lots of brushes or regular grooming.  To adopt this sweet mama dog complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##2409216##

Story
Meet Eggs – Our Low Rider Rez Mix With a Big Personality!   Looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a goofy streak and a heart full of love? Meet Eggs, an 8-month-old, 35-pound Rez mix with adorable short legs, a playful soul, and a talkative charm that will keep you smiling.   Eggs is house trained, dog-friendly, and absolutely loves to play hard with his dog pals. He’s full of energy and would thrive in an active home with a secure yard and another playful, confident dog to wrestle and romp with. He’s also a cuddle bug who loves snuggling after fetch sessions, splashing in water, and making you laugh with his expressive personality.   While Eggs adores people (especially those old enough to match his enthusiasm), he’s not suited for homes with cats—his chase drive is strong! Apartments aren’t the best fit either—this boy needs space to run and thrive.   He’d be a star in flyball, agility, or any kind of dog sport. Eggs is the perfect mix of brains, drive, and affection. If you’re looking for a high-energy, loving companion who’s ready for adventure and snuggles in equal measure, Eggs might be your perfect match.May 27, 2025, 2:05 pm

Story
This amazing ball of floof is Oreo. Oreo was surrendered by his owner due to too many dogs. Oreo is approximately 1.5 y/o and 30#. He is a good boy who would do best with another playful tolerant dog his size in his new home. He is a bit fearful of bigger dogs. Oreo walks well on the leash and would benefit from daily walks and a basic doggie manners class. Oreo is working on marking and gets better every day. He needs continued support and supervision and let outside often to do his business. He currently wears a belly band at night and sleeps in a dog bed. He tolerates a kennel for short periods but doesn’t love it, so someone home during the day would be best. His fluffy coat will require more than average grooming. Oreo is fearful of grabby hands, humans reaching over him, and fast movements towards him so only homes with children 12+ or no kids will be considered. We do not know how he is with cats but he is very herdy so cats aren’t recommended. Oreo is not a good fit for an apartment situation and requires a fenced in yard. A Corgi experienced home would be best as he’s not a good option for a first time owner. He needs some time to settle and patience while he learns a new routine in a new environment with new people. He can be nervous at first, but once he feels comfortable, he is very affectionate and cuddly. If you are interested in meeting Oreo, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Oreo is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $450 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado. April 13, 2025, 9:00 pm

Story
Only being adopted as a pair!!!!! Meet the new definition of cute: Lady and Ace. These two recently arrived from Oklahoma after their human unexpectedly died. They are determined to make someone’s home complete. Both dogs are potty trained but will need to be monitored in a new home with a new routine. They get excited when getting ready for walks and do well on their leashes. Though they enjoy their walks, they would be fine with a more laid back lifestyle. Neither barks excessively. They both have figured out the dog door. They both enjoy being in the mix of the family.   Ace is an 8-year-old, blue-eyed corgi with a tail that never seems to quit. He currently weighs about 35 lbs. He is excited to meet everyone he encounters and has done well with other dogs. He is playful and active. He enjoys walking and sniffing. He can be cuddly but is also a bit independent. Excitement with other dogs may lead to humping.   Lady is a 7-year-old corgi weighing 28 lbs. She has a very petite frame and needs to drop a few pounds. She is committed to eating better and exercising more. She enjoys her walks but has a slower pace due to her tiny legs and current weight. She enjoys cuddling on the couch if you don’t mind giving a lift up.    These two would like a fenced-in yard but will still need to get out often for walks, exercise, and potty breaks. They have not been kid tested but have a good temperament and will likely do well with older, respectful children. There are dog savvy cats in the foster home but these two will need  to be monitored with cats. Both dogs are altered, up to date on vaccines, chipped, and are heartworm negative. Their ideal home would be moderately active, provide plenty of couch time and a person who is not gone long hours. Corgi experience is a plus but not necessary.   If you’re interested in meeting this bonded pair, complete the meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home including pets. Lady and Ace’s adoption fee is $650. We are not doing out-of-state adoptions. Story
Cowboy is a dog my sister brought home from her work as a professional dog trainer. He has some behavioral issues, and has bitten people, but if you respect his boundaries he is a total sweetheart and will curl up in your lap and beg for pets like any other animal. We think he might have come from a difficult home. We are looking for an experienced adopter or foster. He likes to roll around in the grass, long walks, and peanut butter. He just needs a little extra love and attention.
