Story
Darcy came to Rescue as an owner surrender with an unknown medical condition. He was having neck/mouth pain and after meds and crate rest as well as an MRI, he is finally ready to find his forever home. Vets did not find anything on the MRI and believe it was an infection of some sort so we still recommend monitoring for any awkward mouth pain but he has no restrictions. Darcy is a sweet happy guy who is just over 2 y/o, 30# and has an extra happy nub tail. Darcy does well with other dogs but can be a bit overwhelming to the smaller ones. Preference will be given to a home with an active wrestle/chase partner for Darcy. Darcy is good with dog savvy cats and respectful children 10+ may be considered. Darcy is potty trained, crate trained and needs some redirection from pulling on the leash when he sees a critter he wants to chase. Darcy requires a secure fenced in yard where he can run and play and owners who aren’t gone long hours. Darcy likes to smack talk and sing the song of his people so is not a good fit for an apartment situation. A medium active home who will teach him fun things (a basic manners class is highly recommended), include him in their daily activities, and keep him fit would be ideal. If you’re interested in meeting Darcy the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Darcy is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-.Darcy’s adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.June 20, 2025, 12:28 pm

Story
This amazing ball of floof is Oreo. Oreo was surrendered by his owner due to too many dogs. Oreo is approximately 1.5 y/o and 30#. He is a good boy who would do best with another playful tolerant dog his size in his new home. He is a bit fearful of bigger dogs. Oreo walks well on the leash and would benefit from daily walks and a basic doggie manners class. Oreo is working on marking and gets better every day. He needs continued support and supervision and let outside often to do his business. He currently wears a belly band at night and sleeps in a dog bed. He tolerates a kennel for short periods but doesn’t love it, so someone home during the day would be best. His fluffy coat will require more than average grooming. Oreo is fearful of grabby hands, humans reaching over him, and fast movements towards him so only homes with children 12+ or no kids will be considered. We do not know how he is with cats but he is very herdy so cats aren’t recommended. Oreo is not a good fit for an apartment situation and requires a fenced in yard. A Corgi experienced home would be best as he’s not a good option for a first time owner. He needs some time to settle and patience while he learns a new routine in a new environment with new people. He can be nervous at first, but once he feels comfortable, he is very affectionate and cuddly. If you are interested in meeting Oreo, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Oreo is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $450 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado. April 13, 2025, 9:00 pm

Story
Pinniped (Pinni, Penny, quarter pounder, seal dog, flipper, pancake, motorhead, *any kissy sound*) was picked up as a stray in TX and no one came to reclaim her. She’s on the younger side of 1-2 y/o, 26#, dog friendly after appropriate introductions, and submissive with humans. She is a Corgi mixed with maybe Border Collie or Heeler. She wants to be your shadow and constant companion. She wants to be loved, snuggled, treated kindly, and praised when she’s a good girl. She is a sensitive gentle soul who is coming out of her shell and learning to be herdy. Pinni requires a fenced in yard with owners who aren’t gone long hours and have time to dedicate to working with her on her manners and fears. She is learning to enjoy walks once you can get her harness and leash on which takes patience and cookies. When she’s scared she pancakes the floor or ground with all her weight plus some she pulls from gravity. She doesn’t love a lot of noise or people coming at her quickly so a respectful kid 10+ may be considered. She’s best suited for a more quiet rural or suburban home. She has not been tested with cats. Pinni is potty trained when let out often, crate trained, and sleeps on a dog bed at night. She would love a canine companion to play with, but one who doesn’t mind roughhousing once she feels comfortable. If interested in Pinni, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Pinni is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Her adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.July 2, 2025, 12:12 pm

Meet Eggs – Our Low Rider Rez Mix With a Big Personality!   Looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a goofy streak and a heart full of love? Meet Eggs, an 8-month-old, 35-pound Rez mix with adorable short legs, a playful soul, and a talkative charm that will keep you smiling.   Eggs is house trained, dog-friendly, and absolutely loves to play hard with his dog pals. He’s full of energy and would thrive in an active home with a secure yard and another playful, confident dog to wrestle and romp with. He’s also a cuddle bug who loves snuggling after fetch sessions, splashing in water, and making you laugh with his expressive personality.   While Eggs adores people (especially those old enough to match his enthusiasm), he’s not suited for homes with cats—his chase drive is strong! Apartments aren’t the best fit either—this boy needs space to run and thrive.   He’d be a star in flyball, agility, or any kind of dog sport. Eggs is the perfect mix of brains, drive, and affection. If you’re looking for a high-energy, loving companion who’s ready for adventure and snuggles in equal measure, Eggs might be your perfect match.May 27, 2025, 2:05 pm
