Carmen the Corgi loves to play fetch. Throw her a tennis ball and you are friends for life. She can play fetch until her legs fall off but I wouldn't recommend that. She is happy to go into her crate when needed, especially if you throw a ball in it first. She should eat in her crate because she is reasonably protective of her dinner. After about an hour playing fetch, Carmen comes in through our dog door and goes to her crate for a good, long nap. She loves pets but doesn't like being picked up. Carmen will sit if you ask and is almost flawlessly house trained although after a couple hours outside of the crate, you should bring her outside. She also does great on a leash. She doesn't bark much but will if she hears loud and scary noises. She is probably around 25 lbs. Carmen's favorite things are tennis balls, head scratches, and chicken flavored treats. ##2661626##

This adorable low rider has short little legs, a big smile, and an even bigger heart. At first he can be a bit shy, but underneath that cautious exterior is a total undercover lover just waiting to shine. Once Otto warms up, he is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves giving kisses and will happily lean in for attention from the people he trusts. He is food motivated and especially has a soft spot for hotdogs, which makes winning him over a pretty easy task. With a little patience and a few tasty treats, you will quickly see his loving personality blossom. Otto does well with other dogs and would really enjoy having another dog in the home to help him continue building confidence. He walks nicely on leash, enjoys car rides, and carries a gentle, easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. This scruffy little guy may be short in stature, but he has a heart full of love to give. Does this guy look familiar? This is Cody’s brother, Taz. In an interesting turn of events, the new owner of the pair didn’t have the time to take care of Taz so determined it was in his best interest to give him to Rescue. Taz is a super sweet and loving 1.5 y/o cowboy Corgi. He weighs approximately 26# and would like another friendly dog in his new home who doesn’t mind him being bossy at times or could be an only dog. Humans who aren’t gone long hours will be best as he is used to having someone around and wants to bond with his new person. Taz is potty trained but might lift his leg some in a new place. He’s recently neutered so that should diminish over time. Taz is a little too curious about cats and had not been tested with kids and is herdy so cats aren’t recommended and kids 12+. Taz is new to the leash but very treat motivated to learn. He sleeps in a dog bed at night. He can be hand shy in new situations and likes riding along on the atv with his foster dad. Taz loves to be outside running so the more space the better and requires a secure fenced in yard or farm and is not a good fit for an apartment situation. His humans should be ok with the bark of a Heeler, although he mostly uses it when he’s excited and not unnecessarily. Cody is ready to find his forever home! Cody was found out on the plains of CO limping on 3 legs. A kind person contacted us to get him the medical care he needed. After an FHO and physical therapy, Cody is using his leg again, although there are still times when he reverts back since he likely used 3 legs for most of his life prior to surgery. Cody is a super sweet and loving 1.5 y/o cowboy Corgi. He weighs approximately 25# and will need another friendly dog in his new home and humans who aren’t gone long hours. Cody is potty trained and crate trained although he can have some excited urination when his person comes home. He is still in his puppy stage and learning about chewing on appropriate things so does require a certain amount of supervision and dog-safe chews like no hides and bully sticks. Cody has not been tested with cats or kids and although very sweet and even tempered, he can be herdy so cats aren’t recommended and kids 12+. Cody is good on the leash, treat motivated, and sleeps in a dog bed at night. He is shy in new situations and doesn’t love the car but is getting used to shorter trips to fun places. Cody requires a secure fenced in yard with room to run around, a moderately active family, and is not a good fit for an apartment situation. His humans should be ok with the bark of a Heeler, although he mostly uses it when he’s excited and not unnecessarily. Super sweet and spicy! Gigi is a 5-month-old, approximately 14 lb. Corgi mix likely with Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, or Heeler. Or velociraptor. Her sweet brown eyes will melt your heart. She was surrendered after the arrival of a baby. Gigi is looking for a home with an experienced, active, and involved adopter. She is very sweet and full of puppy energy. She is not a good fit for a first time herding breed owner. She has been very friendly with dogs and people, but her rambunctious play is going to be too intense for children. She is working on potty training and is doing incredibly well. Daily walks, exercise, and mental stimulation are a must, as is a secure fenced yard for her to run in. Gigi would love a tolerant playmate who is also very active and loves to wrestle. Puppy manners class is highly recommended to help her focus and bond. She is very smart and has learned to use the dog door, and also rides very well in the car. Cookie is a very special 3-year-old, 22-lb Corgi mix (likely with Chihuahua).This sweet girl is a cuddle bug when she feels safe, but she's had a lot of confusing experiences in the world and needs a calm, patient home to help bring out her silly playful side (she LOVES her toys!) and build confidence in the world. Cookie’s ideal home would be 1-2 adults (no children please) who love the great indoors and who are open to feedback and support on how to set Cookie up for success. We think she can potentially live with a calm cat or dog, but this would also require very slow integration which we would provide support for. Cookie plans to return snuggles, nightly toy-thrashing shows, and the satisfaction of giving a really special girl the chance to thrive.
