Story
Rosie is one of the best dogs in the world! She is a curious, sweet, and very happy 2 year old girl who enjoys both a life of excitement and ease. Weighing in as a lightweight 20 lbs, you might guess she has more of a small dog “personality,” but nope! She knows she is a big dog (), and her new best friend is a tall Viszla puppy! They love to play and cavort around during play dates, with plenty of breaks for naps in between. In the evenings she enjoys movie nights on the couch with plenty of treats and cuddles. Rosie’s foster mom thinks she was raised with tons of love and that certainly shows since she is an absolute honey bunny who brings joy to everyone she meets, both big and small. She is also cat approved, walks perfectly on leash, and is up for anything from camping, paddle boarding, hiking, or jogging. Please keep in mind wonder dog likes to be entertaining, and as such she would even be a great girl to take to work. She is fully potty trained and is probably bilingual, as she knows “sit,” in both English and Spanish. This girl is super smart! It is not known how Rosie ended up in a rural Colorado shelter, but she became a fast favorite there, especially with the visiting children. She would do best in a home that will honor her sociability and curious wonder, since Rosie asks to meet everyone she sees. If given a chance, she would be friends with deer, foxes, or even grasshoppers. Having another dog or cat to keep her company would be ideal because otherwise she fully expects to go everywhere that a human does, which is probably why she is so friendly, that is probably what she used to do. Otherwise, she does fine at home alone with a fur buddy. She is an absolute hoot, so prepare to laugh frequently at her gentle and kind bravery! If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $300 and I will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption ##2808787##

Story
Colby is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in this shelter photo is how truly beautiful this dog is with his golden coat and dark eyes with wisdom beyond his years. At just about 8ish years old (such a perfect age..old enough to be past babyish behaviors and young enough to have many healthy and active years remaining) and 14 lbs, Colby is a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere a very sweet, smaller dog is welcome. Colby is every bit the silly guy...fun, active and so content once comfortable in his environment. But at the same time he is a happy and well-behaved pup who is so sweet, very loving and a perfect full-time companion. Colby is very likely to express himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses of love for those who are kind to him. Right now, Colby is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Colby is so loyal that he can easily be a constant companion. He would love nothing more than being outdoors enjoying walks on gorgeous Colorado trails, trips to the store (he enjoys car rides)) and lap/couch-sitting are perfect for Colby's sweet personality. Colby is flexible enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation and if there is love and gentle guidance, he can succeed. We've received the following information from Colby rescuer: "Colby is soo adorable! He has the most endearing looks on his face and the cutest impish personality. He is very sweet and always has a spring in his step. He is very easy to love! Colby is also very affectionate. He loves to cuddle & happily spends hours curled up on our laps or close by on the couch or rocking chair. He takes well to others as well and will happily greet them. Colby bonded with all of us at the shelter very quickly. It's clear that his biggest wish is to have his own family that will love him forever. I believe that this darling little guy will fall in love very quickly with a family that is respectful and kind to him." Colby has a gorgeous golden coat that is currently shelter-sad. He will require a lifelong commitment to periodic baths / brushing and excellent nutrition. Current research is clear that the greatest gift we can give our dogs is a fresh, human-grade diet. Farfel's wholeheartedly recommends Chi Diet (chidog.com) for lifelong coat health and an opportunity for the longest and most healthy life possible. Colby is arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 8/12/2026. Applications are being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Colby please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder, Rescueme and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving guy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Meet Rufus! (Affectionately called Roo) This handsome 1-year-old Corgi mix is all about happiness. His tail is always wagging, he’s never met a stranger, and he greets every day with excitement and curiosity. He’s mostly house-trained and is doing great with a consistent routine. Keep him on a schedule, and he’ll have the rest figured out in no time! He’s also wonderful on a leash and loves exploring the world by your side, whether it’s a neighborhood walk, a hike, or a trip to the park. When playtime rolls around, you’ll usually find him chasing a tennis ball or happily settling down with his favorite chew toy. He has a playful spirit but also knows how to relax and enjoy being close to his people. This sweet boy is truly the whole package. He’s fantastic with kids of all ages, gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and even kittens. He’s naturally curious about other animals but is always respectful and polite, making him an easy addition to just about any home. If you’re looking for a loyal, joyful companion who is ready for life’s next adventure, this happy little guy can’t wait to meet you. He just needs a family to love him forever. Story
Meet Kit! (AKA KitKat) At just 5–6 months old and 27#, this Corgi (and possible Shepherd) mix is a sweet, gregarious puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. KitKat is trusting, super affectionate, and never says no to a good belly rub! The Highlights: Social Butterfly: Great with dogs of all sizes. Curious About Cats: Needs more training, currently thinks they are something to chase. Playtime Enthusiast: Loves to run, play, chase, and surround himself with as many toys as possible. Very springy puppy!  Routine Ready: Already crate/kennel trained! Warning - He likes to “sing” (howl) himself to sleep but eventually settles down. What He’s Working On: Like any young pup, KitKat is still learning his big boy manners. He’s currently working on potty training, curbing his puppy jumping and keeping his paws on the ground when he is excited, and learning what is (and isn't) a chew toy. Ideal Match: KitKat needs a patient, positive-reinforcement-focused person / family who can keep up with his fun energy and give him the attention and guidance he needs to grow into his best self. A fenced in yard is required and respectful kids 10+ may be considered. If you're looking for a loving, adventurous sidekick, you can complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Kit is neutered, utd on vaccs, and chipped. His adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.August 2, 2026, 1:00 pm

Story
Copper is a cheerful, loving, and opinionated gentleman of approximately 7 1/2 years old. He is about 25 lbs and is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is all in favor of snuggles, games, and just being with his people. He enjoys a good walk, is a fetch maniac, will show off his toys with wild growls and silly short-legged dances, or will just come cuddle with you with his stubby tootsies in the air! He's also very handsome and gets noticed wherever he goes.  He does have big barky feelings about many things (strangers outside, needs more petting, THE BALL!) and will tell you loudly, so this will be something to work on in the future. Because of this, shared walls are a no-no. He also has concerns about grabby hands at his food dish, but is figuring out how to give up his toys nicely and take treats in a gentle way. He is an extremely clever fellow who is food motivated, plus he has a willing personality and is ready to learn. He likes activities that allow him to use his smarts, such as puzzle toys. He is potty trained, crate trained (though doesn't seem to prefer it) and sleeps on a dog bed or on the human bed (where he needs at least 15 minutes of hugs and belly rubs every evening.) He had issues with the toddler in his last home and so to set him up for success, he must go to a home with no children now or in the future, and no visiting children. To date, he has been an only dog. According to his previous owners, he can make other dog friends, but only with slow introductions. He has not been tested with cats. He is neutered, HW- and up-to-date with shots. He is an excellent boy, and will be very happy being the center of attention and sharing his superstar personality with his forever family. If you are interested in meeting Copper, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. His adoption fee is $375, and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.August 2, 2026, 1:00 pm
