Story
Marcy is the type of dog that makes people smile almost immediately. She has a goofy, happy personality, loves being involved in whatever you are doing, and absolutely lives for water. If there is a pond, creek, kiddie pool, or muddy shoreline nearby, Marcy will find it. Marcy is a stocky, short-legged mixed breed girl around 45 pounds full grown with a personality that balances confidence and sensitivity in a really unique way. She loves adventures, swimming, exploring, and outdoor activities, but she is not a nonstop high-energy dog. She can absolutely keep up on hikes, walks, or active days, then happily relax afterward. She is great with other dogs and cats. With dogs, she does best around friendly, respectful personalities. She can get intimidated if another dog is overly pushy or tries to dominate her, but outside of that she is social, playful, and very happy around other animals. With new people, Marcy can sometimes give a little low growl at first. It is not aggression and she has never shown aggressive behavior. It is simply her way of saying she needs a moment to process and get comfortable. Once she settles in, her affectionate and goofy personality comes out quickly. She is basically an extroverted introvert. Marcy would be a great fit for someone looking for a dog that enjoys adventures and outdoor time but does not need constant stimulation to stay happy. She especially needs a family that understands that not every friendly dog is instantly social with strangers, and that giving a dog a few minutes to warm up is completely okay. Good fit: someone looking for a fun, outdoorsy companion that enjoys water, adventures, and relaxing equally. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Good with dogs,
Story
Heidi is the definition of tiny-but-mighty charm. At just 5 months old, this petite little girl (possibly a Chi/Basenji mix? at least that's what Siri's best guess is) is learning that the world can be safe, soft, and full of love — and watching her confidence bloom has been incredibly special. When Heidi first arrived, she needed a little time to decompress and take everything in. With patience, quiet companionship, and plenty of cozy blankets, she has slowly started to show her sweet and playful personality. Now she greets her people with the happiest wagging tail and bright little zoomies that will absolutely make you smile. Heidi is wonderfully social with other animals. She is especially fascinated by larger dogs (her current favorite is a Great Dane puppy!) and loves to engage in playful small-dog antics. She can be a little snappy during play in that typical tiny-dog style, but it is all tail wags, excitement, and fun. She has also done beautifully with cats — curious and playful, but respectful when corrected. This little lady is still building confidence in the world around her. She does not fully enjoy being held yet and may freeze up when picked up, but she allows handling gently and continues to make progress every day. Once she feels safe, she melts into affection and will lean into pets and snuggles. She especially loves burrowing under blankets and creating herself the coziest little den imaginable. Heidi is already impressively well-mannered for such a young puppy. She is potty pad trained, keeps her space clean, and will even whine to let you know if she needs attention after using her designated potty area. She is just one vaccine away from being leash walkable, but that just means a little extra time to build her confidence before heading out on leash! She settles beautifully in her kennel after a few minutes of protest and sleeps soundly through the night without a peep. She also has the cutest tiny preferences — including favoring small cat bowls over large dog bowls because they feel less intimidating to her. She loves toys, cozy naps, gentle companionship, and sudden bursts of lightning-fast puppy zoomies. Heidi will thrive in a patient home that understands shy dogs and is willing to let her continue growing at her own pace. In return, you’ll get one of the sweetest little souls around. ##2722735##

Polly, Corgi mix, 2 yrs., 25 to 30 lbs. Polly is a little more outgoing but hasn’t had a lot of socialization so she will need someone patient and willing to work with her. Once she gets to know you, she likes being a lap dog. She is crate trained. Good with other dogs. A home with another dog is needed to help her learn to trust and also because she has always been with another dog, her sister. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385
