Story
Cowgirl is an adorable pint sized corgi puppy, ready to hit the road and find her forever family.  She will be turning 3 months old soon, and just weighed in at 7lbs.  While we don’t know for sure, based on her history, we believe she is a full corgi. She is incredibly smart and tags along for all adventures with the older dogs in her foster home.  She quickly managed stairs and ramps to prevent being left behind. She loves to wrestle and play tug with her toys, and still occasionally mistakes toes and ankles for toys too.  Cowgirl is doing great at her potty training, though she will need a consistent routine and continued reminders until she is older.  She sleeps through the night and does well in a crate for short spans.  She has an early to bed and early to rise mentality, as morning play time in the yard while it is nice and cool is one of her favorite times of day. She has found her voice, and will let you know her opinion, especially if she thinks she deserves attention.  Because she is so smart and energetic, her new family will need to be prepared to give her lots of mental and physical exercise as she grows up. As a young puppy, she will also need a home where she is not left alone long hours. Older kids (10+) maybe be considered. She is not cat tested but does well with other dogs and with seeing chickens through open fencing. A fenced yard and experience with high energy or herding breeds is preferred.   If you are interested in meeting her, please complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference checks, and meet with everyone in the home. We do not adopt outside of Colorado. Cowgirl is spayed, utd on age-appropriate vax, and chipped. Her adoption fee is $550.  July 15, 2026, 4:03 pm

Story
I'm a good girl. I was reportedly used for breeding in my past, but I'm past that now and ready to move on in life. I'm about 5 years old and I'd really rather be the only pet in the household. I don't really care for other dogs or cats, but I love people. Won't you help me get moving on in life to a better place than I came from? If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out an application at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. You can also reserve an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have visits scheduled, so appointments help ensure I’ll be available. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, and we welcome adopters from any state. We have access to a transport to Aurora, CO. Other outofstate adopters either travel to Missouri or arrange & pay for air transport. Virtual meetandgreets are available on the appointment request. ##2783762##

Story
I have to move and cant take my beloved dog with me. I got her from Clearwater Corgis out of Denver last year for almost three grand. She is house trained to go on a training pad while indoors. White carpet kind of confuses her though. She is great with my 5yo daughter. No aggression whatsoever. She loves walks and food. Not much else to say. Ill include her bed and toys. I rarely crate her anymore these days but ill include her crate as well. Ill give you pretty much everything I have for her. Leash. Food. Dog brush. Toys. Food bowl. Trying to get as much back that I paid but I am negotiable.

Story
Cuddles is a very sweet girl who came to CCFR because her elder owner could no longer care for her. At 10 years old she is a mature girl, but that doesn’t slow her down much. She is on a weight loss journey, currently around 35 lbs, and is hoping to find a family that loves daily walks as much as she does! She loves making new friends and always wants to be with her people, doing what they are doing, and ready to receive lots of pets and attention. She is a pretty easy going dog and enjoys an afternoon siesta. She loves treats and is very food motivated so it is hard to resist those pleading eyes for more, but her new family will need to be committed to her weight loss and stick to measured feedings and healthy snacks. She does well with other dogs but can get overexcited if they are barking or running as those herding instincts kick in. She would likely do best with older dogs in the home who can match her energy level. Her new home wish lists includes humans who are not gone long hours of the day and a fenced back yard for her to mosey in. She has a typical corgi alert system bark to new noises so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. This happy girl truly lives up to her name and is looking for a new family to snuggle in with and enjoy her golden years. Cuddles is house broken, none-destructive in the home, and crates well at night, although she probably would be happy with just a dog bed. She is working on better leash manners as she can pull and bark at unknown dogs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on immunizations, heart worm negative, and had a recent dental cleaning. She is good with cats and older children will be considered. If you have been looking for a reason to get off your couch and get some more daily exercise yourself, Cuddles may be the new dog for you!  If interested, please apply at www.corgisandfriends.com/forms . We ask for references and do a home visit as part of our adoption process. Cuddles’ adoption fee is $225, and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.  July 15, 2026, 4:03 pm
