Story
Layla is an approximately 1 year-old, 17-lb Corgi. She is a sweetheart who will gently demand belly rubs and cuddle in your lap. She is also playful, loves her soft chew toys and plays fetch! She would love a home with a secure, fenced yard where she can have supervised run around time and she promises to try not to eat all the dandelions. She is dog-friendly and would be great with a doggy sibling around her size or as an only pet. She has not been tested with kids but based on her personality, we would consider homes with respectful kids 10+. Due to her prey drive, she does not want to live in a home with cats or other small critters. She is figuring out leashed walks. She is learning to distinguish her toys from household items that are not meant to be chewed and would do well in a home where her humans are home most of the time to encourage her better habits. She is house-trained but like any dog may have accidents in her new home until she settles into her new routine. She loves to sleep through the night in the people bed and will share your pillow if you let her. If you are interested in meeting Layla the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Layla is spayed, UTD on vaccines, chipped, and HW-. Her adoption fee is $475 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.April 16, 2026, 6:04 pm

Story
Meet Monty the sausage dog - A top-notch low rider with a party ear! Monty was living on the streets of Texas before being rescued and brought to Colorado. Monty’s transition from street dog to the life of leisure is complete, and he is loving all of the comforts of being in a home! Guessing he is a cowboy corgi or corgi shepherd mix of some sort. At 27 lbs, he’s smaller than he appears in pictures! He has little legs that dont stop him from being an active boy. He is very friendly with other dogs, and is a little shy but loves people once he gets to know them. He was living with a pack on the streets and now in a pack in a home with his foster family. This goofy little guy loves his stuffies, fuzzy blankets, and cuddles. He comes fully equipped with a party ear, sturdy low center of gravity, and tail that doubles as a bat signal for play time. He’s mastered the irresistible puppy dog eyes, and is always ready for affection! He’s doing very well on leash (getting braver every day!), potty trained and crate trained. Note he is Heartworm positive which is non contagious and treatment is fully paid for by our rescue if you go to our vet in Golden. He is already started on treatment (doxy pills) and will need to start shots around end of May. We can go into more detials of what treatment looks like before a meet and greet All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Meet Yogi, a sweet, affectionate little guy who’s all about love, comfort, and being close to his people. Yogi is happiest curled up on the couch, soaking in all the cuddles he can get. He’s a true companion dog who loves to follow his humans from room to room, always wanting to be part of whatever you’re doing. His people-focused nature means he thrives on attention and affection—and he gives just as much love right back. For a puppy, Yogi has an impressively calm and well-behaved personality. He’s perfectly content relaxing indoors, but he also enjoys getting out for walks and exploring the world at his own pace. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll often find him happily chewing on a bone, one of his favorite pastimes. Yogi is a smart boy who is already learning his basic commands—he knows “come” and is starting to understand “sit.” He’s eager to please and will continue to blossom with gentle guidance and consistency. He’s also making great progress with potty training, doing well using pee pads as he learns. While Yogi absolutely adores people, he’s still building confidence around other dogs. He can feel nervous, especially around bigger dogs, but with patience and positive experiences, he’s becoming more curious and open to making new friends each day. Yogi may experience some separation anxiety when left alone, so he would do best with a family who can give him plenty of companionship, reassurance, and time to adjust. With love and patience, he’ll gain confidence and feel more secure. If you’re looking for a calm, cuddly, and deeply loving pup who just wants to be your shadow and best friend, Yogi is your guy. This pup will be available to meet starting on 4/4 They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  ##2695372##

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Important InformationPlease read!If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location.Hi! My name is Sweet Pea, and I am a beautiful Pembroke Welsh Corgi baby girl who was born 1/17/26, and I weigh 7 pounds. I am social and sweet and love everyone.Since I am a working breed, I must have a home with folks who are familiar with the needs of my breed. I would prefer a large yard or acreage so I can have lots of room. Children over 10 years old would be fine with me.If you have been waiting for a gorgeous Corgi, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.Love, Sweet Pea 032926-06  April 16, 2026, 6:48 pm
