Story
Foxy is a wonderful 6.5-year-old Corgi/Shiba Inu mix who is looking for her forever home. Weighing 39 pounds, Foxy is a beautiful and incredibly intelligent dog with a loving personality that shines once she builds trust. Foxy thrives on daily exercise, enjoying walks, playtime, and mental stimulation. She is house-trained and knows basic commands. Her favorite things include playing fetch, chewing on her toys, and relaxing with her licky pad. Foxy would do best in a calm, structured home with an owner experienced in handling reactive dogs. She can be wary of new people and other dogs, but with patience, consistency, and understanding, she quickly opens up to reveal her goofy and affectionate nature. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Truman is a rare gem of a 7-year-old Corgi boy who still has the heart and spirit of a playful pup. Weighing in at a perfect 28 pounds, this handsome little guy is bursting with confidence, charm, and personality.   If you know and love the Corgi breed, you already understand just how special Truman is. He is incredibly smart, attentive, and engaging—always tuned in to his people and ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. He’s what we lovingly call a “Velcro dog,” happiest when he’s right by your side, soaking up every moment with his humans.   Truman is not just brains—he’s fun, too. He absolutely loves his toys and lives for a good game of fetch. Toss a ball, and you’ve made his day. His playful energy combined with his loyal nature makes him the perfect mix of companion and entertainer.   He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, making him an easy addition to a variety of homes. Truman has excellent manners—he walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and has impeccable house behavior. He’s truly a well-rounded, easy-to-love dog who fits seamlessly into daily life.   On top of all that, Truman is neutered and current on all vaccines, so he’s ready to step right into his next chapter.   Truman is the kind of dog who will quickly become your shadow, your best friend, and your constant companion. All he’s missing now is a forever home to call his own. ❤️   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 20, 2026, 8:26 pm

Story
Little Sophie 💔 We believe Sophie to be a Corgi mix, approximately 2–3 years old (age is just a guess). She came from a hoarding situation in Texas and is currently in foster in Danbury, CT. Sophie is very shy and will need a home that understands she needs time and patience to come out of her shell. She is not a dog that will adjust overnight—she needs someone willing to let her decompress and feel safe at her own pace. A quiet, non-hectic home is a must for Sophie. She would do best in a calm environment where she can slowly build confidence. She is good with dogs and cats. Story
Coco is a sweet girl who will steal your heart once she gets to know you...just look at that smile! She will take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she will be your best friend forever. Coco loves belly rubs, snuggles, playtime in the yard, playing fetch and going for walks. Coco finds city living a little too hectic, and is not suited for apartment living. She will do well in an adult only home...a house with a fenced in yard. She is a little snobby and can be dog selective when it cones to choosing canine buddies. Coco would appreciate a dedicated, enthusiastic companion who will work on building her trust, and she will return that love and trust twofold.Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturdays 11:30-1:30. If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Story
Chico is a fun-loving little boy who loves to go for walks in the neighborhood as well as exploring new places on hikes around Westchester and beyond. He also loves to play with his squeaky toys when he is not cuddling on the couch with his favorite humans. He is a lowrider who is sure to bring joy to any family. Chico has manners...He sleeps in his crate at night, doesn’t wake his foster mom in the morning, but waits until she wakes, for his first walk. He plays well with children and knows basic commands such as sit and heel, and is fully housebroken. Chico will bring fun and joy to any family!
