Story
Bella was a originally a stray that I adopted from a shelter in Fort Worth. Bella is so wonderful, she’s gentle and sweet, she loves to run around and play. She loves long walks. She walks very very well off and on leash. She loves head scratches. Such a cutie with lots of personality. It takes her time to get used to you picking her up. She gets frightened when you come at her from behind too abruptly when wanting to pick her up. She has a bit of allergies, so a vet check up would be very beneficial for her. She’s chipped, altered, and up to date with vaccinations. I love her but with my busy schedule unfortunately will not be able to give her the time and attention she deserves. She needs a loving family that will take great care of her and give her the best life possible.

Story
Meet Ace! Ace is a sweet and affectionate 2 year old Pit/Corgi mix who weighs approximately 29 pounds and is looking for a fresh start after his family made the difficult decision to surrender him when they were no longer able to care for him. Ace is wonderful with children, does well with other dogs, and is more of a lover than a player with both people and canine friends. He would much rather enjoy affection, companionship, and simply being near those he loves than spend all day roughhousing. If you currently have another dog in the home, we always recommend scheduling a meet and greet prior to adoption to help ensure a good fit for everyone. Ace's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his basic annual vaccinations, and heartworm negative. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Ace may be the perfect addition to your family. To apply to adopt, please submit an online adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. August 13, 2026, 7:55 pm

Hi, I'm June! I'm a gentle, sweet girl looking for a fresh start and a family to call my own. ❤️ I may be a little shy when we first meet, but all I need is a minute to warm up. Once I know you're a friend, my loving personality shines through. I'm truly an absolute gem. ✨ A few things about me: 2–3 years old ⚖️ 35–40 pounds Potty trained Walk beautifully on a leash Good with other dogs Gentle, calm, and easygoing A low-maintenance girl who just wants to be loved I was deeply loved by my person, but they became unhoused and could no longer care for me. Now I'm hoping for a second chance with a family who will love me just as much. ❤️ If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who's happy with simple things—walks, cuddles, and being by your side—I just might be your perfect match. Give me a little time to warm up, and I'll reward you with a lifetime of love. Story
Meet Honeydew! This beautiful, fluffy white girl is looking for her person — someone she can follow from the morning walk to the desk to the couch, and love completely. Honeydew is about 2 years old, ~40 lbs, and as sweet as she is pretty. She's a little shy at first but warms up fast, and once she's yours she's devoted, gentle, and endlessly affectionate. She's housetrained, calm in the house, a total pro in the car, walks like a dream, and even tags along to the office like a champ. Low-key, easygoing, and happiest by your side. She'd like to be your one and only — no other dogs or cats, please — so she can soak up all the love (and give it right back tenfold). Perfect for a person or couple wanting a loyal, mellow companion. Great with adults and dog-savvy older kids. If you're ready for a devoted shadow and a beautiful walking buddy, Honeydew is your girl.   To meet Honeydew in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2752994##
